So I loaded the bike, drove to the shop, unloaded, and only then did someone step outside, take a quick look, and tell me they don't work on my model. I don't mind if a shop has limits on what they service, but that should be communicated clearly over the phone. It would have saved time, effort, and frustration. A simple question about the make and model during my call would have prevented the whole situation. Friendly enough staff, but the communication gap matters. If you have an e-bike, make sure you confirm whether they'll service your specific brand before making the trip.

This one isn't quit that big, but it is still full of all the name brand items that people are familiar with. They always have some good clearance racks in stock and they always give military discounts which is helpful. Mu first bike came from Sun & Ski, a mountain bike, they offer free labor when you buy your bike there, I believe they still do, it's worth asking about it. The service area is so helpful when I need help with the aging bike. A few times I've brought parts in for some simple help and they didn't even charge me for it. They even helped me find a place online to find parts that they don't carry. They do cycle their stock based on the seasons, ski items do show up in this store, but it's limited and distinct to the winter time. It's a good store and has some good staff.

The owner promptly found the problem (derailer was rubbing), adjusted my tire pressures, then watched me ride to assess the brakes. He proceeded to make necessary adjustments. While I was waiting, I talked to him about bike seats and he explained the different styles and densities. I chose one that he immediately offered to switch out, then had me ride again to check seat height and position. My bike is MUCH more comfortable now and rides like new. Pricing was fair. I felt very well cared for and I WILL be back!

Gordon, think that was his name, took very good care of me. We talked about my needs and what I was looking for in a bicycle. I felt better about my experience here than the last shop I checked out. Prices also seemed way more reasonable. At this point, I'm still researching bicycles; however, I have a feeling Colonel's may be where I finally make a purchase.
