While in Zurich, my wife injured her back and was ordered to stay in bed for at least 48 hours. we were scheduled to leave for Wengen and had reservation at the Silberhorn Hotel. I advised management of the situation and requested a refund. The answer was a harsh NO as the hotel's policy is a FIVE day cancellation notification and no excuses are ever accepted. So be aware that if you do not cancel at least five days prior to arrival , your credit card will be charged the full amount of your reservations. Furthermore, the money hungry management, charged the full amount as soon as I advised the hotel of my situation and did not have the decency to wait until the end date of my reservations to do so.
