It's a casual restaurant with a nice brioche burger selection and other good foods. I don't recommend the lemonade it's very sour but the service was quick and everyone was kind and spoke English very well read more

Friendly staff, quick service, and tasty food. Came in with a large party of 20 people, so we were only able to choose between three burgers. I ordered the B.L.A.TCH, a fried chicken burger with avocado, bacon, relish, pickled onions, and arugula, which came with a large portion of house-made fries. The house-made brioche bun was soft and pillowy, the picked onions on the burger added a solid crunch, and the bacon was smoky. The chicken was good as well: the meat was moist, and the edges of the patty were crispy. Additionally, the fry on the chicken was light, which meant the burger wasn't very heavy. However, I thought the burger was missing a little something; the flavor was good, but nothing especially stood out to me. Personally, I feel that some sort of spicy or creamy sauce would enhance the overall taste of the sandwich. It could be that the relish on the sandwich is used to make this type of standout flavor, but I wasn't able to taste it. That being said, I enjoyed it, and it definitely filled me up. The fries were also great, lightly fried and lightly salted. I wish I had the option to try some other items on the menu, because they had some dishes that sounded delicious. To wrap it up, if you find yourself in Chamonix, definitely come and check this place out for some filling food and friendly, fast service! read more

Went here for dinner after our Tour du Mont Blanc and really enjoyed. The appetizers all looked delicious and we had a hard time choosing, but ended up getting the spicy vegan buffalo dippers and black garlic & roasted red pepper hummus which were both delicious. My burger was tasty and my friend enjoyed her soul bowl. The only tragedy was that we couldn't upgrade the regular fries that came with the burger to get the parmesan & chipotle fries (sounds like those are made to order) so definitely would order those to try them next time! read more

In Chamonix for a few days and went looking for some breakfast. Came across the Bighorn Bistro and Bakery. Ordered a coffee and a bagel with egg and bacon. Amazing! Toasted bagel and a lightly herbed cream cheese and four slices of a thick, perfectly cooked, bacon hit the spot. Service was great! If you're in the area, give it a try. If you're looking for amazing food for breakfast, lunch, or dinner... This is the place to be! Service is top notch and English friendly. My wife and I are staying in chamonix for a week and we have been here 3 times already. Definitely going to be stopping here again before we leave. For breakfast, the silver spoon dish is amazing. The toast they give you is perfectly toasted too. I am trying the French toast today and I'm sure it will be great. For dinner, the chicken and rib eye are delicious. I can't complain about the food. As you can see from the picture the pancakes were very good. I will however complain about the cleanliness of the place. There was dog hair everywhere, on the table mats, the serviettes, in the glasses, on the cutlery. Shocking really. I will also say the coffee was the worst I had in Chamonix. Hot brown water is a good description. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone read more

If you are in Chamonix, this is a must go place. It is casual, but the food is great and the bar is the best in town. If you wander around later in the evening, it is pretty telling that this place is FULL while the rest of the establish,nets are emptying out. My friend and I were traveling from Paris to Chamonix for a nice summer weekend in the mountains. We discovered this gem as we were walking past and knew we had to stop in. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The food is prepared fresh and we even got a chance to swap travel stories with one of the bakers. American friendly. I only came here for a beer. The interior of this place is quite large. There is also an outdoor seating area with incredible views of Mount Blanc. Their craft beer selection is slightly better than elsewhere in Chamonix. The bartender was pleasant & helpful. I did not have any food do I can't comment on that. I just had an amazing breakfast at Bighorn. This review is based on one time/item but I think it goes for the place in general. The egg/sausage/peppers dish I got was fresh and seasoned just right. It's a great place to fuel up after a day of climbing, and is full of ex-pat guides catching up after a long day of work. Visiting in Chamonix with small children who are tired and struggling with new foods....Bighorn was a great find. Nice decor, friendly staff and American food! We had huge plates of eggs and pancakes (really soooo good!) and my children had their first full belly in days. We even took some home for a treat. LOVE this place. My husband and I were in France for our honeymoon and after a week we were craving some food reminiscent of home. As an appetizer we ordered the hummus and house made bread, it was better than some hummus I've had in California. I ordered the chicken breast with mashed potatoes and mushroom gravy. It tasted JUST like something my mom used to make. My husband ordered the daily special of ribeye steak, potatoes and veggies; I think he would have licked the plate if he could. On a visit to Chamonix to ski, Bighorn Bistro was a great find for my wife and I as we looked for good North American food to eat. Not only was the food great, but it was priced very reasonably. Over the course of dinner, lunch and breakfast, we enjoyed the Fajitas, Poutine, Salmon sandwich, Winter Curry, and various desserts. All of the food and service was excellent. Great place to unwind after a day of skiing, or fuel up before skiing. read more
