Root beer float
Mollie M.

Kebabs just went from a "negative to a positive" at biggie smalls! Dam they make them delicious! Who knew you could enjoy a kebab sober and during daylight hours. Definitely hit this place up next time your on smith street. Apart from the relaxed and super cool atmosphere pumping the notorious man himself and other hip hop tunes the food here really is off the hook. Run by celebrity chef Shane Delia (hottie alert!) the food isn't like a normal greasy kebab shop with bay maries and mystery meat. I went down the traditional route and ordered the A Rab kebab and a root best float sans booze. The kebab was amazing, delicious meat, soft wrap and creamy garlicy hummus. All kebabs come with signature hot sauce but even for my pansy tastebuds it wasn't too hot. I accidentally ordered the root bear float forgetting that root bear is devil medicine disguised as soft drink but it was actually surprisingly yum. They also have a decent amount of sides you can order like Mac and cheese, crinkle fries, corn dogs and salads. The era of the sober kebab may well have started so next time your in smith street be sure to join in the party.

Dirty south (chicken $14) and East Coast (pork $13.50)

One word for this place: YUM! Shane Delia sure knows the way to my heart, he can do no wrong in my food eyes. I ate here for lunch yesterday and ordered the "dirty south" fried chicken kebab ($14) w/ lettuce, pickled onion, garlic & lemon aioli and hot crinkles chips (biggie is $5.50) and let me tell you this was the best kebab of my life - and I have eaten my fair share of kebabs in Greece, Turkey and the Middle East. The wrap itself was soft as a cloud, the chicken was perfectly crispy and moist and the lemon aioli gave the right amount of 'zing' and tied everything together nicely. The chips were so so yummy! I honestly cannot wait to return and try the A-rab kebab next! 10/10!

This place has no sign. It just says open in red. If you wanna spend $20+ each for a kebab and coke go ahead. My friends kebab had hardly any meat in it, and the kebab was packed with chips (also given chips on side and coke for $6.50 extra / wtf). My Chicken BSP has too many crispy bits and hardly any chicken.. infact, I couldn't even find chicken, it was tiny bits of ground chicken amongst the fries which took the majority of the dish. It was $4 extra for a can of Coke. $4.. lol. The cheese and flavor was ok, but there are so many kebab places that will give you a proper portion of meat at half the price. This is no snack pack... I will never follow a yelp review more than a year old - I feel this place should be $$$, and reviews were given by people who didn't pay or got something for free for rating it 5 Star.

Best kebab I've ever had! I had the Dirty South, which is a Fried chicken kbab, very fulfilling! It did not disappoint. It is the most popular. The onions have a very strong taste to them, so if you don't like onions, like myself, I'd suggest to leave them out otherwise you'll be picking them out! Service is great as well. There's plenty of seating, inside and out. There's wifi as well!

Kbab menu

After finishing work at 2130 and not having had dinner, I decided to drive down Smith St and see if anything caught my fancy.. Growing up listening to all things RnB, Hip hop and Rap, the bright lights of Biggie Smalls Kbabs had me mesmerized... As I walked towards the entrance their Hip-hop beats had me smiling and bopping as I skimmed the menu! Their kebabs have been cleverly named including the C.Wallace (Biggie's actual name is Christopher Wallace), West Coast, East Coast, Juicy (one of Biggie's singles) amongst other kebabs. Being so late I opted for a lighter option from their "Other Stuff" menu and had the Corn Row - BBQ & Puffed Corn, Spinach, Herbs, Smoked Almond and added "Shrimp"! The salad was tangy and delicious with the added flavour of the shrimp hitting the spot! I'm looking forward to coming back and trying a kbab or two! Next time I'll dine in and enjoy the ambience of their tunes and devour the food in one of their comfy looking booths.

I had the West Coast and it was the best Kebab I've ever had. Chips were also great. Service was fast and polite.

Just how Souvlaki King on Brunswick Street takes the prize for the best kebab in the area, I'd say…read morethat Efe's Kebab takes that accolade amidst the host of kebab shops up and down Smith Street. I remember being apprehensive at first. The shop does not look the most welcoming of environments. But after tasting their kebabs I was convinced. This is just down the road from Yah Yahs and the busy part of Smith Street. That makes it the perfect spot to go to after getting a little bit peckish/drunk on a night out. A word of warning: as with most places like this, I'd stick to the kebabs. This is their specialty and this is what they do best. I always stick to a kebab and they are pretty cheap too.

Despite the large Turkish population, Melbourne's not really a place you can find a lot of pide…read more (Bendigo, on the other hand...) So, I was sad the other day when I went out to Smith St and found my favourite pide seller had upped and left me. (Contextual note here: pide is a dish where it's a flat loaf of Turkish bread with a filling inside. I generally go either the sausage, or the sausage and egg.) Disconsolate, I wandered further down Smith until I came to Efes Kebabs. And then, lo and behold, I was happy again! Not only do they serve pide, but they charge about $4 for one. As you'd expect, they seem to do the standard kebabs as well. And how was my pide, do you ask? It was good. It wasn't something you'd eat before a date, as it had enough garlic to depopulate Transylvania, but that's kinda what I want in my pide.
