Last December I found myself venturing in to Groove Merchants due to my resurected love for vinyl…read more This place just opened up November of last year and from what I can tell, they have gathered quite a following already. The owner was very pleasant who made sure to acknowledge every customer and made sure they were finding what they were looking for, while keeping the music flowing. This place is a little more unique, compared to other record store that I've been to in the area. This place not only has nice used and new vinyl at respectable prices, but they also have vintage audio equipment such as tube amps!! Be still my heart. If you're not in the market to buy, I hear they also do repairs on audio equipment if your setup needs some TLC. What if you're not quite certain on a particular record? Well, don't worry, just take a seat at the listening station they have setup for your enjoyment. If you're a fan of vinyl, you must give this little record store a chance, or you're missing out.

While they didn't have any Danny Okeefe he informed they may have some in the future. He gave me some good advice about what to look for and also provided information on selling to him once that's done. He also will let you listen to used items you are looking at so you can try new stuff to see if you like it without having to buy it. Best record store in town. I always stop in when I'm visiting from Atlanta.

I was in Spokane for a couple of days, and tried to visit this store both days. The web listing…read moresaid they were open, but both times I went by, the door was locked, no indication of anyone in the building; no explanation for why they were closed. If a business is going to be closed during a time they are normally open, there should at least be a note on the door saying "closed today due to illness" or whatever it might be. I brought a friend here from TN this past Sept. and we dug around for a while. My friend bought a cassette or two he found and we had fun looking. I walked away with J.
