One section has the female alpacas and males are in a different outside area. The female alpacas we tried to feed were not as interested in us so we tried our luck with the males. The three males at the feeding area welcomed the food. One of them would try to eat out of our hand when one of their buddies is already eating. I recommend wearing clothes that you don't mind having spit on. My husband got some spit splatter on his jacket when we were trying to feed one of the female alpacas. There is a wide selection of items in the gift shop and we left with a stuffed animal that looks just like the voracious eater we met at this ranch. Come have some fun with the alpacas!

If you're planning on visiting, make a reservation for ether a group or private tour. The group tour is $15 per person while the private tour is $150 for the entire group. The only drawback with the group tour is you don't know how many people might be in it. We had almost 40 in our group and that was a bit too many in my opinion. When you arrive, check-in is inside the red barn. They'll let you know which group tour you belong to. They have port o' potties and hand washing stations behind the barn. If you end up getting any food from the food truck (ostrich sliders and ostrich philly steak style sandwiches), you can bring it into the barn where there's picnic style tables and benches. The "gift shop" is also inside the barn. If you do come on wet day or after it rains, be sure to wear appropriate shoes...it can get muddy as you walk from one animal area to another.

Their tour was running late- by late I mean 40 minutes... so we had to shuffle things around party wise. The tour consists I of seeing the animals. Didn't realize that the Ostrich were there for lol meat purposes. During the tour kiddos got to feed them. They have a few different areas to roam, with some tables. It's a decent sized place. My son's favorite activity was the ball launcher and my daughter's was seeing/petting all the animals. So when we arrived, I ran the door bell on the gift shop door (per instructions on the door) and a very nice lady came out from the office. I asked her if it was possible to feed some alpacas and she said yes. I bought two little sandwich size bags of small pellets for $5 each. All of us (6 adults) was able to feed the very friendly alpacas. They do not bite as they only have bottom teeth. They eat the pellets right from your hand. There were also a few baby alpacas you can feed. Just as another reviewer wrote - they are affiliated with a non-profit organizer and work with Peru to save the alpacas. Alpacas are adorable animals and I'm so glad we visited this farm. There is a little gift shop where you can buy all kinds of alpaca products but we ran out of time - we had so much fun feeding the alpacas. I highly recommend this as a pit stop and you'll learn all about them while feeding them.
