Found this place from the Tire Rack listing. This was the first time I had bought my tires online and was in the tricky mess of overpaying to get them installed. To my surprise, I found this fairly small shop off of Lawrence Expwy. It was a pleasant find. They were quick and installed my tires very well for a good price. If I remember correctly it was something along the lines of $65 for 4 tires and disposal of the old ones. These were standard tires, the prices probably vary depending on the complexity of the install. This shop seemed like a smaller custom wheel shop. They had very friendly people, and great service. Overall, I would highly recommend at least for tire install. Call before you go for an appointment. read more

Steven did a wonderful job. - He was prompt in replying to my emails. - He quoted the most reasonable rate for the job. - He waited for me extended hours in the evening, so I could him reach after my job. - He was meticulous in doing his work, did the job right. Their website sells items they do not have in stock, nor can they get them. Their terms of service are laden with your responsibility as the buyer but they feel free to back out of any deal with zero apologies or some form of retribution for your time. Wordpress and a $60 plugin would allow them to track inventory better. Basically, they are pulling a bait and switch on people...which is illegal. I won't ever use them again. read more

Folks, I am as picky as they come, the most pain for anyone trying to sell me. I searched all over locally and online until I found this company bigwheels.net and I could not be more pleased with my transaction. My conversation with Barry started not about my purchase but about my car; modifications, future goals, purpose, expectations, etc. We then discussed wheels, tire sizes, profile heights, for a set of staggered width and diameter wheel and tire package. He knew his stuff to simply put it and I got a good sense of confidence that my purchase would be exactly what I expected and wanted. He didn't agree with everything I said to sell me. He was honest and straight forward which was very welcomed. The end product is my 71 pro tour chevelle sitting on an 18/20 package that is absolutely stunning. Barry and Steven were both great. The level of service was what I'd hoped for based upon the majority of reviews. I took a chance on these guys having previously been a satisfied customer at a major tire shop chain. The product availability and prices from Tire Rack looked good and this place happened to be pretty close by. I spoke to the owner when I stopped by the first time and confirmed pricing and scheduling options. I then ordered the tires for delivery to the shop. I was traveling for most of that week so let Barry know that I'd like to come by on the following Friday afternoon. On arrival I spoke to Steven on the way through the garage area and felt assured that they'd be able to handle the job without any issues. Barry then greeted me and showed me through to the waiting area (TV and cable). Steven checked with me regarding valve replacement (wasn't required) and the job was done in about an hour. My previous review on Yelp (not related to this facility) is dated back to 2011. What I am trying to say is that if I am leaving review on a public board then it should be about something extremely bad or, I should be impressed. Perfect and highly professional is the way I can describe my experience with "Big Wheels". And it's not something big which you have to see to understand the quality of the shop, no - it's the very tiny things which tells you that people here DO care about the quality and reputation. I walked-in w/o appointment to replace 4 tires and I was out on a new set in less than 1 hour. Also, when I checked the tire pressure with my "Intercomp" liquid filled tire pressure gauge, I did not believe my eyes (in a good way) - the difference between the lowest reading and the highest one was less than 0.5 PSI (btw, the tires were inflated exactly the way I would love them to be. Needless to say I am very picky about tire pressure, old habit from track days ). This is really an unbelievable level of precision for the typical shop, especially when you have an experience when some other tire shop (pretty reputable) had managed to over-inflate your tires by 14 PSI with low/high diff by 6 PSI. Next. The balancing was also done perfectly. There is no vibration at any speed, at least up to 90mph, and I am not planing to exceed 90ish at any time soon :) The amount of weights used for the balancing is very small, which again, is a good sign of the quality of the job. All of those little things (plus very friendly and knowledgeable people) have made the "Big Wheels" my new favorite (and the only) tire shop. read more

I also found this company through TireRack.com as a preferred installer. I've had a full tire set installed as well as a single tire replaced. Wait time for all four tires installed was less than 45 minutes. When the dealer wanted $520 to replace a single run-flat, I found it cheaper on tirerack and shipped it to Big Wheels. When I brought my car in, the manager saved me the entire price of the tire by determining that the screw hadn't even gone through! Then they held on to the tire for me while Tirerack provided the return shipping info. I didn't have to do anything. Tirerack + Big Wheels = awesome. read more

Just had my third set of tires purchased through Tire Rack installed by Adds Wheels Warehouse (BigWheels.net). As was the case with my previous purchases, the tires were installed professionally at a reasonable price. They called me the day my tires arrived from Tire Rack to setup an appointment. They installed the 4 tires while I waited in less than 45 minutes. While I was waiting, Barry Goldine one of the owners stopped by to say hello. I asked him what custom wheels (rims) he would recommend for my VW Touareg. He recommended Victor because they specialized in wheels for the Porsche Cayenne, a sister models to my VW Touareg. Barry was pleasant and clearly passionate about his business. If I do decide to spoil myself with a new set custom Victor wheels I will definely buy them from BigWheels.net, if not I will still be back to mount my next set of tires. read more

They advertise a wheel on the website and I made the purchase, they did not send me a email to confirm the order after I call them they told me that they did not had the wheels and they are going to send an email with other options for me to choose, all the wheels they send were more expensive and they did not honor the price from my original purchase. I think they never had the wheels an it was just false advertisement. The fallowing is all the had to say in the email: "I am sorry but the wheels on your order have been sold. After working with these guys to try and figure out tires for my 1972 Truck, I finally get a package together only to find out they do not take American Express. I wasted weeks of research and now I have to start over. I never understand why these places do not accept AMEX because it is the most secure credit card there is. It isn't very courteous to customers to not take any card. Tire Rack actually has the same tires for less money but I wanted to give the business to Big Wheels after their help. Exceptional service!!!! I was in a predicament stranded with a flat tire 400 miles from home on a Thursday late afternoon. After being towed to the nearest tire service station they were unable to locate a tire that could be delivered until Monday as it was after 5 pm. (Please note that it was a special tire with very limited availability). I was able to contact Barry at Big Wheels who worked his magic and had a tire for my car delivered by 10:30 AM the next morning and I was on the road by 11 AM. Barry had made the special effort to contact a tire warehouse four hours from my location that was already closed and who in turn made sure that tire was sent out for overnight delivery. These guys are very professional. I had a nail in my tire and called Chris. He told me to come in a they would check it out. Took the nail out, checked out the tire thoroughly,put it in the dunk tank and so on. Didn't cost a dime. I will be back to these guys for my next tire purchase. read more

Had my wheels rebalanced here a couple of weeks ago. They did a good job on the wheel balance itself. However, the next time I tried to remove the wheels I discovered they had crossthreaded or over torqued the lug nuts. Six wheel studs had to be replaced, which was a major pain. read more

I found this company on Google along with a bunch of other wheel companies and I discovered they were in Sunnyvale so not too far away from me in Mill Valley, CA (it felt reassuring to deal with someone relatively local, especially on a big purchase like a complete wheel and tire set). I know bugger-all about wheels and tires so it was useful that they had a phone number on the website so I could call and ask advice about what might not only fit, but also what might SUIT my SUV. First time I called I spoke to Chris, he was totally polite and helpful, although he sounded a little rushed, he made some great suggestions about what wheel and finish may suit an SUV compared to a truck, how many spokes might suit well on my vehicle (5 studs? Go for 5 spokes) and also about depth of the lip etc. Next time I called (yep, I had more questions) I spoke to Matt. Also totally helpful, made some good recommendations on tires when I couldn't make up my mind, PLUS he explained what 'off-set' meant and reassured me that the wheels I was looking at would fit perfectly. The tires I originally ordered had a white line around the tirewall which I didn't notice. Chris actually called me back to point this out and check I really did want that (no I didn't), and he recommended an alternate tire set (thanks, you saved me having gay white lines on my tires). So, anyway, I dropped a few thousand dollars on this company and 4 days later my wheels and tires were in. I drove down there, dropped off the car, and 45 minutes later the job was done. The guy that did the fitting was Adam, brilliant job, he did a few things I wouldn't even have thought of asking about: shrink wrapped my old wheels so they didnt dirty up the trunk of the car on the way home and loaded them all up, put all my old studs in one envelope, and used a separate envelope for the spare wheel nuts, cover plate allen key, wheel lock nut adapter, and stud size adapter. BOTH envelopes were labelled up with little printed labels so that it was clear which should be left in the car in case of a flat. I did read the negative reviews here before buying, but all I can say is that my experience was 110% satisfactory. read more

These guys should be the only shop you let touch your expensive rims. I love my BCforged Hb04's, and I know when I need tires mounted and balanced to them, the pros at Big Wheels will not leave a single scratch or nick on the black powdercoated surface of the rim lip. These guys are installers for Tire Rack, so I had my tires drop shipped directly to them. Barry was really helpful in helping me select some wheels (so I had a winter set for Tahoe). The wheels came in the next day and they installed them exactly as promised. They even kept the old wheels/tires for me for a few days until I could bring my pickup truck by to load them up. Just purchased and installed tires for my F150 Lightning at Big Wheels. Night and day difference between this shop and the chains where I've purchase tires from, such as Wheel Works and America's Tire. Yes, the install took a little longer, but Darrel, the installer, took great care and showed a high degree of professionalism in his work. He made sure the rim bead are was completely clean before mounting the tires, cleaned off all the adhesive from the old balancing weights, and hand torqued the lug nuts. No damage to my chrome wheels. Compare that with Wheel Works (impact wrench with torque stick) and America's Tire (gouged rim, loose lug nuts, "rotated" tires put back in the same position). The installers at the chains also always seem to be in a great hurry, probably the reason for the errors noted. The mounting and balancing equipment (Hunter TC3700 for mounting and Hunter GSP9700 for balancing) at Big Wheels are state of the art. The owner, Barry, is also pleasant to deal with.
