A trip home to Jersey is incomplete with a visit to Big Vern's! Delicious food, friendly staff, and an amazing view at St. Ouen's beach make this restaurant a must-see. My favourite is the all-day full English breakfast. Treat yoself read more

While I had high hopes for this restaurant based on a previous review, am deeply sadden to say that I would not recommend it to non-Polish speaking patrons. The food was rather good and it arrived from the kitchen quickly. The brewed coffee was perfect! So what was the problem...the wait staff. Four of them sat a few tables over, taking their break, and decided to talk about me in Polish, even joking that I had no clue since I wouldn't know Polish. Perhaps next time, they may wish to confirm someone's language abilities before laughing about their customers. Shame on the staff...And the owner for allowing this to take place. Will you be the next victim? Best know Polish before entering! read more

After spending several hours touring we were hungry. the Boathouse had a nice outdoor deck and it…read morewas a beautiful day in Guernsey. The ladies ordered fish and chips. Very traditional. British presentation that included mushy peas which is a favorite for my wife. She was kind enough to let me have a taste which almost made me regret ordering mussels. Breading was light allowing to great taste of the fish to come through. Now that I think about it, the portion was huge so that's probably why she shared some with me. My friend and I ordered mussels that were prepared in a wonderful wine sauce and served with garlic bread. Again huge portions. Mussels were tender and flavorful. Service was attentive and prices weren't out of sight either. We went in blind this time. Didn't check Yelp or ask for recommendations. Once in a while you get lucky.
