After spending several hours touring we were hungry. the Boathouse had a nice outdoor deck and it was a beautiful day in Guernsey. The ladies ordered fish and chips. Very traditional. British presentation that included mushy peas which is a favorite for my wife. She was kind enough to let me have a taste which almost made me regret ordering mussels. Breading was light allowing to great taste of the fish to come through. Now that I think about it, the portion was huge so that's probably why she shared some with me. My friend and I ordered mussels that were prepared in a wonderful wine sauce and served with garlic bread. Again huge portions. Mussels were tender and flavorful. Service was attentive and prices weren't out of sight either. We went in blind this time. Didn't check Yelp or ask for recommendations. Once in a while you get lucky. read more
