His crew was equally impressive: respectful, efficient, and professional, and they cleaned up the site every single day. We were working under a tight timeline, and PCR completed the job perfectly on time, which feels incredibly rare these days, especially considering we slightly expanded the scope of the fence project mid-way through. What really set them apart was how thoughtful and empathetic they were, taking care to work around an old, special tree to make sure it stayed healthy, and going above and beyond on small details like using extra wood and concrete to patch areas that needed it around the yard. One note though: if there are any plants you want to preserve, make sure to point them out so they know to work around them. Luckily I wasn't attached to any of my plants (except the tree) since many of them were destroyed this process. We were also very impressed with how the team handled feedback. When we weren't fully happy with the first set of stairs that were poured, they redid them in a day and the final result turned out great. I don't write many reviews anymore, and honestly, I haven't had many contractor experiences that…read morewould motivate me to change that. But Lassiter Excavation was so good that I couldn't continue to be lazy.  For context, I was replacing an old 35,000-gallon swimming pool with a skinnier lap pool. Lassiter started by completely removing the massive 1975 pool, including every scrap of concrete and piping.  Then they backfilled and compacted. Working to my soils engineer's specifications, they imported and compacted 18 truckloads of quarry fines in carefully controlled 8-inch lifts through the full 12-foot depth of the deep end, all the way to finished grade. They used multiple pieces of equipment, including jumping jacks, a Bobcat, and a vibratory sheepsfoot roller (which I had to look up), and they coordinated compaction testing throughout the process.  When they were done, it looked like a pool had never been there. The site was fully prepared for the new excavation, which Lassiter then completed flawlessly.  I measured their forms with a laser level and laser tape measure, and length, width, diagonals, position and elevations were all within 1/8 inch. That's impressive considering the new lap pool is nearly 60 feet long. When they were finished digging, the walls and floor were razor straight and right on their marks. The crews were outstanding -- friendly, hardworking, detail-oriented, and consistently professional. They maintained an exceptionally clean jobsite throughout the project and even helped me reclaim some old redwood decking.  Special thanks to Santana, Ricardo, Daniel, Jose and team for answering all my questions and caring so much about the end result. Thankfully I found Grizzly Demolition on Instagram! Nathan and his team will handle the whole project for you. They took care of demoing a large plot of concrete pad from a 3 bedroom house, a chain link fence and the footing for the fence (which, surprise, went two feet deep!) for us and hauled all the debris away, which totaled a couple tons in his huge 10 wheeler dump truck! Nathan was able to get us on the schedule quickly, and the work was done effectively and surprisingly quietly! He has very specific and specialized machinery to do the job. We evaluated around 6-7 companies, and off the recommendation of a neighbor we had Letts come out. I was a bit hesitant because you are charged for a minimum of an hour, there is no free estimate. However, in that time he shored up a leak with a temporary patch and had an estimate of how much work it would be to take care of everything, which ended up being much more reasonable than some other places we evaluated. Adam came back when he had enough open schedule to fix everything and some parts were shipped in. An incredibly nice guy, and just an incredibly fair and integrity oriented operation. All the vendors I evaluated were five stars with many reviews, but Letts was the only one that didn't feel like I was being upsold and he was just out there to help me solve my problems. Honestly can't wait to hire them again, which is an absurd thing to say about a plumber, but man what a great experience. I will rave about them to anyone who will listen.

They most recently removed an old water softener and installed new copper piping where the softener connections were. Oddly, the tech charged us for new copper while keeping the copper sections he removed, saying he was adding it to their collection. I get not being able to reuse the sections connected to the old valves but there was some that could have been reused, or left for our recycling. Not a huge deal, just seemed odd that he mentioned keeping it for their future use. We'll still use Letts and recommend them to friends. They're very prompt. The work is done well. And the job sites are left clean.
