We used this company for our high school's prom for the last two years. The first year, the DJ…read moredidn't have any of our music downloaded and couldn't connect to the venue's wifi, so he didn't play anything that we wanted (and couldn't accommodate requests... but he asked for them anyway). What happened this year is reprehensible. During our dance, this DJ asked multiple high school-age girls for their phone numbers. He showed up to a kid's house party after the dance ended. That night, some students found a bio online that he had written saying proms were his favorite events to work, but, in our call weeks before, he told me that this was his first prom. This detail has now been removed. We reported this incident to Millennium Productions. Their excuse for a solution is to restrict this DJ from working proms in the future. We are extremely disappointed in the company's failure to fully hold its employees accountable for inexcusable predatory behavior. Do not work with them.

Wrong song was played for the processional, music we did not request, music we did request was not played after working on it for over 6 hours and giving the dj plenty of specific songs. DJ had to be reminded about the Father of the bride dance, he forgot the wedding party dance, and had never heard of the song "celebrate". After being charged another extra $100, we were totally dissatisfied when the DJ totally FORGOT and didn't do the dollar dance; not because of the money, but because of the time we wanted to spend with individuals and picture opportunities. Customer service very lacking - for an area only 60 miles south of St. Louis & the cost; we feel we definitely did not get our money's worth. Could have had a 5 piece band with better entertainment. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED - DJ needs to remember people remember the music and fun times - look elsewhere for more professionalism & someone who can keep up with personal requests.

Applause Productions provided ceremony, cocktail/dinner and dancing DJ services (5 hours total and set up two hours before) at a great price. They have an online PayPal payment system which made it easy pay our deposit and then final total. They arrived on time (two hours before our ceremony start time) to set up with sound, lights and a disco ball. Cole, our DJ, was nicely dressed, professional and very friendly to work with. I was able to chat with him about what I wanted and he accommodated our request to play straight from our pre-provided song list, which isn't their norm as they usually go off of a genre/style of your choosing and pick the songs themselves. If you are doing DIY and choosing between iPod playlists versus a DJ, one thing I will say is that the DJ almost acts as a wedding coordinator to make sure the ceremony songs go smoothly and play at the right time and that announcements are made like dinner, last call for food, first dances, cutting the cake, etc. For us this was a huge plus. At the end of the night Cole and his helper even helped us move a few things as we were cleaning up and made sure to ask if we needed anything else, how the day was for us, etc. I would highly recommend Cole and Applause Productions.

We switched our ceremony to be inside instead of outside the morning of the wedding and he was super flexible and made it work with no problems. Will coordinated with my brother who played the saxophone during our first dance which made that moment extra special! Our dance floor was packed all night, and he did a great job of feeling out what types of songs would keep the dance floor going. For the ceremony we opted for more lighting options including a customer monogram lighting in the dance floor. Afterwards we were given a lovely picture frame and our monogram lighting stencil as a souvenir of the day. That was a such a thoughtful touch a normal dj would never do.
