She writes her name in cursive and was empowered to read at the age of five. She has solid math skills and knows all the continents...This is but a taste of what she has learned. More importantly, she is empowered to learn. The classroom environment allows her to help guide her own growth while challenging her to work on skills that will help her in the future (including things like using a hammer and nails and taking space in a place like a "peace loft" when she needs to!). She hasn't just learned how to be a student: she has learned how to be a human being in her world and contribute to it. People constantly comment on how "mature" she is for her age. She has self-control, she's relatively independent, she shows empathy for others, she is endlessly curious and asks thoughtful questions, and she can talk rather deeply about her feelings - among a myriad of other notable qualities related to her time at Namaste. The teachers are incredible, and the progress reports are detailed depictions of our daughter in the classroom. The school also encourages family participation throughout the year, including a "bring an adult to school day" and "gardening day." It is a beautiful community. My husband and I often remark on how Namaste is one of the best decisions we made as parents. What an incredible gift to give her this foundation for the rest of her life.

The regular day ends at 3:30 and "epic" day ends at 4:30. It would be so much more epic for parents if there was an extended day program until 5 or 5:30.

The free weight area is nice and the members and staff are very willing to help you and show you how to use the machines. The personal training pros can really help you meet your fitness goals. As a side note, if you're looking them up online, the address is on Bald Hill School Rd, not Bald Hill Road, and while the Google map will show the address correct as written, it navigated me to Bald Hill road, a quick fix once I discovered the issue, but hopefully if you read this before, it might save you a few minutes of confusion.

We contacted them about two weeks before our wedding--the panicked point at which we realized we wanted to look good dancing our first dance as a married couple. (Note: I advise contacting them much, much sooner.) Thanks to their patience, good humor, and most of all, their SKILL in teaching the non-gifted the basics; we made it through our first dance very well. In fact, we actually got compliments from many of our guests on how well we danced. What I like most is that the spouse and I now have a new, social, active hobby the two of us can pursue together.
