My instructor was great. He knew exactly how to tune my driving to a way that was suitable for my road test. He was good at analyzing the small patterns in my driving and train me to a point where I became very confident. I could tell he cared that I have the highest chance of passing. However, the ABLE 2 driving school as a whole is a mess. They are so uncoordinated, and it's quite frustrating. I had lessons scheduled twice a week, and there were times when I didn't have a lesson scheduled for the following week, and nobody told me why. Even my own instructor didn't know why. It could be that the instructor is not available someday, or someone else is doing a road test with the car you drive, etc... It's like they cancel lessons without telling you. I currently have two lessons left, and I am approaching my road test. Since my road test hasn't been scheduled yet, I had no idea when my next lessons would be. So, to fix this, I called and scheduled a lesson with Kim, and few days later I called again for conformation, and I was told that I have zero lessons scheduled in the future, as I was told "I don't know, I can't help you" in a clueless fashion. It's like they forget to write things down. Also, be ready to cycle between three different cars. I didn't really have the opportunity to get comfortable with one car. At the hefty price that I paid, that would surely be appreciated. The only good thing about this school was the instructor's ability to instruct, and that's that matters most. Well I wasn't so lucky they refuse to complete the task at hand when I had john as my instructor he was willing to work with me too but they for got to inform me that he was retiring so unfortunately I wasn't able to finish my goal of achieving my Driver's license I spent a lot of money to achievi e my goal Jason didn't want to assist me more so now I have to look elsewhere to achieve it read more

This is where you go for insurance reduction. 6 hour class every 2 years. Last time we did this, we saved over $300. Jim was a lot of fun. He's been doing this awhile. We also had our kids trained here for there road test. Much less expensive then drivers ed and it keeps the kids of the road after 9p until 18. read more

Both our kids took lessons from Able 2 Driving School. A friend of ours recommended Able 2 and we were not disappointed. Cathy was the instructor most recently for most of the lessons. She was a great instructor and we could tell that there was a rapid improvement in both driving skill and driving confidence. Passed my road test on the first try! That speaks for itself. Before taking lessons here, I was considered the worst driver in my family... living in an urban environment, I managed to put off learning to drive until I was 21. While I never considered myself a "bad" driver, I wasn't confident and knew only basics, no maneuvers. Over the course of a summer, I took six lessons and learned everything I needed to know for the exam. My instructor was Alex, who was really helpful, fun, and often doubled as a Syracuse tour guide. He loves chatting with students, and I ended up becoming much more comfortable behind the wheel because I was able to focus on something besides my own nervousness. I learned invaluable tricks for 3-point turns and parallel parking that I would have taken me months to master on my own. I got a package that included four lessons, a five-hour course, and renting the school's car for the road test. It was a great deal at about $300, much less than the rates around Long Island/Westchester. I got two additional lessons for $110 when I felt that I needed additional instruction. Initially, I signed up with them because they were expanding to Watertown (where the hubby is stationed). It's unfortunate that they are currently not doing lessons up there at the moment; I ended up making the trip to Syracuse from Watertown for my lessons. It would be great if more people up in Watertown became interested so that their expansion could be successful; as far as I know there aren't a lot of driving schools up north! read more

So I took the 5 hour course with Mr. Jeff and he was a very nice, knowledgeable man. I felt very comfortable and competent after the course. But, when I took a private lesson there with a named Dan or Dave something like that... it was a complete waste of time. First off when I drove the car it sounded like it was going to fall apart right under me. Second off, he didn't teach me anything that I couldn't learn from YouTube, he was basically a human GPS cause all he did was tell me when to turn. And he started quizzing me on right of way stuff and when I didn't know the answer he just said "Ok" and we continued driving without telling me the answer. And when we were done with the lesson, he pulled my mom into the hallway and asked if I had issues with my teachers. So to sum it up, GOOD 5 hour course BAD private lessons. read more

As an adult driver with much previous experience, I wanted a few quick refresher lessons to asses any problems and prep me to take the test. Able II has a number of packages to choose from as well as single lessons and courses, enabling me to get the education I needed for a very reasonable price. Both the private lessons I took as well as the 5-hour licensing course were well-taught and a breeze to get through. I appreciated that I could take my road test in the car I drove during my lessons, and I aced the test the first time! Even though we had a couple of scheduling conflicts, the staff were pleasant and worked with me to reschedule. The instructors were very professional, and they did an excellent job helping me identify and correct weaknesses.
