Poor customer service. I was told via phone that they would take back a chef jacket I didn't have a receipt for. The chef jacket had never been worn, was still pressed, and had all tags in tact. The exact item is still in stock at the store. However today when I went in, they said they couldn't take it back because it had been too long? But then said it was because I didn't know who I had talked to? Neither of these details seem relevant given that the chef jacket was still in stock and the one I wanted to return was in fine condition. In addition, I wrote this months ago only to have it removed for "violating guidelines". I rewrite it now because their customer service is still lacking, as is their ability to take constructive criticism apparently. read more

This is one of my favorite stores in Lubbock! The staff is friendly, responsive, and helpful. They have an awesome selection and are always ready to help you find anything you need. And their prices are very reasonable. Bonus if you catch their sidewalk sale! read more

First, the store is pretty good, selection, staff, although it's a good bit more expensive than Amazon. I like supporting local businesses and have been a regular customer, until today. I went in to get a bacon press and really needed to use the potty, bad. Nope, employee I've bought expensive stuff from said no customer restroom--suggested that I go to 7-Eleven across the parking lot. I have bad hips and a 58 year old prostate gland and did not want to walk that far. So I got the bacon press, left, and barely made it home without wetting my britches. I realize that any business has the absolute right to deny customers the use of their restroom, and I support that. But... I have the right to shop where I please. From now on that place will not be Big Plate Restaurant Supply in Lubbock, Texas. Any snide comments from anyone will be cheerfully ignored. read more
