Nice tree nursery Owner is very nice and explained the ins-and-outs of every type of trees. Gave good recommendations. There is a large selection of trees. Price is also reasonable. Owner is also very nice over the phone, as are all the staff. Will visit again.

A bit picked over in early March

Staff are very friendly and it's a big property but apparently it is used by a lot of landscaping companies because when I went there in early March it was totally picked over. They didn't have any larger trees or bushes that I was looking for. Maybe I caught them between resupply, but I drove a long way it was a bit disappointed.

It had a lot of plants just not the ones I was looking for. If I ever wanted a fruit tree I know where to go.

Some plants were rather pricey but I don't know anywhere else that sells beautiful Japanese Maple trees. Staff are incredibly helpful, anyone I flagged down or chatted up seemed to know quite a bit about the plants and what I needed to take care of the plants I looked at, There is also an abundance of indoor houseplants, but sadly my husband said no to more houseplants! I recommend giving this place a try for your indoor and outdoor plant projects.

Whatever you can think of they probably have. What they don't have they will still know about and probably be able to order for you. Although it is a big corporation, their service is generally pretty good. Their staff are quite knowledgeable about all kinds of plantlife and are friendly and helpful. We've gotten trees and some flowers here and they have done ok despite our brown (black?) thumbs. Value is there for some items such as vegetable starts (seedlings), but other things are definitely overpriced like those fairy garden objects (they remind me of dollhouse knickknacks, I guess fairy gardens are grown ups' version of dollhouses? Lol) which were like $6.50 each for each one of those many tiny items. Overall, there's a ton to browse and ponder at Green Acres and it's a really extensive place for both amateur gardeners like myself and expert gardening enthusiasts!

Over the years, they grew in popularity and I saw the new neon signage go up and am always excited to see their next new landscaping and added features. This is a split between gardening supplies and plants. They don't have trees like your average nursery, but more of succulents, cactus, herbs, and decorative flora. They sell tons of giants pots and has an indoor shop with cute gardening knick knacks. I've purchased many cute household plants from them. I love that the space itself is decorated to give you ideas for your next project. It's a nice stroll thru paths, gazebos, and ponds/water structures. There is an annual butterfly event when the butterflies migrate and stop by the Secret Garden's many passionfruit vines. During their summer events, there's rotating vendors. I actually found my favorite coffee from a pop-up here, which now they have a brick and mortar shop downtown, Burnside Coffee. Whether you're looking for ideas or cute plants, the Secret Garden has it. Sometimes it's just nice to stroll around their grounds. I'm hoping they expand more in the future and add more gardens and structures. Hopefully they can set up a picnic area and have more events.

The stuff I was seeing at Home…read moreDepot or other chain stores for on-ground or elevated planter boxes was pretty limited in choices and pretty expensive too. I looked at building them myself since I have some abilities with a saw and drill, but I was so busy with work that I never got around to it. Along comes Jeremy with some already functional, customizable and affordable planter designs! He uses some quality products that will stand up to the elements for many years, with finish options to extend the life if you want to spend just a bit more. And he is really easy to work with on getting a custom design for a specific use or space - we've gone back and forth on sizing, wood types, and finishes many times to get it just how I want it. And the best thing is that he executes exactly what you want once it's decided upon. Delivery of your planter is free if it's only going a few miles, he says, and just a little more added onto the total amount if he has to drive a ways to get to you. His prices are really reasonable - only a modest amount more than what it costs for material which is really cool. Plus you're using a local, small business and putting money back into our community. This is just a win-win-win in my book. I'll be using Jeremy for every planter I need in the future - thank you!

They do serve lunch to 2pm. We were here to have lunch and then take pictures at their lavender farm. Hopping to catch some blooming lavender. Sadly, it was mostly a green garden w not much blooming lavender. There were a few other flowers blooming tho. Upon arrival.... Pros 1) plenty of parking. 2) location was plain but pretty and clean. 3) they had like 4 to 8 tables on the front by the parking area where you walk in. I saw a few people eating there. 4) they had a beautiful wooden table in the back on the grassy area with 6 chairs around it. That's where we sat for lunch. Our reservation was at 12pm. We got seated right away. Today was perfect to eat outside. There is no indoor seating or a restaurant here. I didn't see any. 5) there is a gift shop. But we didn't make it to see the inside 6) they serve salads and sandwiches here for lunch. Very simple and short menu. Their soup of the day today was tomato bisque. 7) our sandwiches and salads tasted fine. But salads are large portions. I could have shared my chicken salad with another. Sandwiches are normal size. Enough for one person. 8) Drinks were ok. Water tasted good. No funky or metal taste to it. 9) two porter potty bathroom but clean. Not the typical blue porter potties at putdoor events. A little nicer and it flushes. 10) our server was very nice. Cons 1) it took a long time to get our meals once we ordered. We were seated at 12pm. But we didn't get our salads and sandwiches till like an hourish later. By the time our foods came out, we sat to catch up and eat, and celebrate a bday, it was like 1:45ish already. Gift shop closes at 2pm. 2) our young server seems like she's still in training. But she was good. Wish they check on their customers more often. But maybe she was the only one taking orders. I don't know. 3) Conclusion This location was nice. Clean. Pretty. There wasn't any lavender blooming when we were there. But I heard it's a hit and miss to catch it in bloom too get beautiful pictures. It's ok though. We found other areas to get nice photos in. Foods were ok. Meh. But salads looked pretty and in large portions. Chicken on the salads were perfectly made. It was juicy and not dry. Each of our plates were $18. There is a small drinks menu. With both their menus being short, it made it so much easier to order something. Love that no one rushed us out after 2pm. We were allow to take our time on the area to take photos. They were setting up for a 4pm wedding. Not to bad here.
