The pants were the wrong size because they were placed in my dressing room as "you might want to try these". I immediately placed them back in the bag with the receipt. When I returned to the store I was told that I could not return the pants if the tag was not on them. The usually courteous and smarmy attitude of the clerks immediately turned hostile. I was treated with unnecessary disrespect.The clerk actually inspected the pants and found loose strings ( an example of shoddy workmanship, not wear and tear!) I am amazed that a store that passes itself off as classy would have such bargain basement return policies. Most of the other establishments at which I shop would have gladly credited my return. And, oh yes, I was trying to exchange the pants for a pair that fit!
