Ughhhh no. This place is not for me. I guess if you live in Salisbury, and refuse to venture the…read moreshort distance down to Charlotte then I could almost see how you would convince yourself this place is worth going to. But even then, you've got to have a pretty skewed idea of what the rest of the world refers to as "standards." I think the main component of this place is the shop on the first floor, which is more of a random assortment of crap, that happens to be placed in jigsaw puzzle like manner. If there was ever anything you actually wanted to find here there is no way you could. I have a pretty strong opinion that there is a valid market for "antiques" but nobody wants to buy "old junk," which comprises the better part of the inventory. On the basement level is the wine "cellar," as they call it, and there is an actual temperature controlled room with a few wine bottles, but you can't actually get in to see it. All you see is dust-laden shelves with a mediocre sampling of mostly grocery store wines. Each thing on the shelf is typically just 1 bottle, so if you want more you have to special order it. There is a large section of North Carolina wines, all of which are just plain awful in my opinion. They also do wine tastings down in the basement, I believe on a weekly basis. This pretty much consists of the group of old people showing up every single week and gossiping while complaining about the wine that's being offered. I reluctantly attended a few of these and I was appalled at peoples' behavior considering they were getting outstanding wine and a few hor'dourves for next to nothing.

There's been a lot of talk about Trosa Thrift store around town lately. I've seen it all over…read moresocial media so a friend and I decided to check it out on a Friday afternoon. Trosa is located on Peters Creek Hwy in the Food Lion strip center at the Clemmonsville exit. It's easy to get to and there's plenty of parking which I love. Right inside the door is their whole furniture section, they have tons of tables, chairs, dressers , etc. they even have a whole section of office specific furniture. The prices are very reasonable. This would be a furniture flippers paradise. Towards the back they have shelves of everything from pillows to whole sets of dishes, sports equipment and the most medical mobility equipment I've ever seen anywhere. I'd say, if you are in need of a walker, a bath seat or portable toilet for someone look here because they probably have it at a fraction of the cost it would be to purchase new or rent. The clothing is grouped all together but they aren't keeping it organized as well as it needs to be. All different sizes were mixed in together and I quickly got frustrated and gave up. Both of us had found an item in the kitchen area we wanted so we headed to check out. The workers were very friendly as well. I'll definitely be checking out Trosa regularly in the future. Trosa supports substance abuse treatment. If you want to donate to them, they offer pick up for larger items or you can bring your items to their donation drop off around the back of the store. Just follow the signs.

I went after work and there was a huge line with only one person on the register. No signs or directions for pickup. So waited for my turn and finally got there about 35 min. later and and was told that the person fulfilling on-line orders was out so orders would not be completed until the following day. I actually had needed them for re-hab appointment so this was a bit distressing but I was not going to take it out on the staff due to the lack of vision from store leadership. Received the order the next day at lunch time. Do suggest perhaps they have a section labeled pickup to help eliminate confusion and also ensure that cross training is completed for online purchases or stop processing them if they don't have a system in place. The Cashiers were personable and polite, just seemed over whelmed and not supported. Prices however were good compared to Dick's.

Suddenly one of the cashiers who is possibly a lead or manager without a name tag came out from behind the register and literally started screaming at everyone to stand 6 ft apart, read the sign, look at the footprints on the floor, learn to read, with giant hand gestures she was pointing out people in line and screaming at them to move. Keep in mind no mask is required for this store and shoppers are close to each other while shopping with no social distancing. This horrible attitude and attack on the customers lead to us putting down our items and walking out without buying anything. We won't ever go back to this location!!!! When you have horrible customer service you lose business. Here is a picture of her which of course she turned her head as soon as she seen the camera! There is a better way to talk to people and get your point across. Look in photos to see a picture of the horribly rude woman!
