Since it was my first time here, she took her time foiling and constantly checked to make sure I was achieving the desired look. The washing and color toning part of the visit was extremely nice. There is a back room where the lights are dim and tranquil music is played, during this time Angie also gave a scalp and neck massage. Lastly, there is a very cute shop here as well! The store is relatively new to West Jefferson and opened within the last few years. It's family owned and operated, and the staff members who were working on the day of my visit could not have been lovelier. The only reason I'm not giving this place five stars is because I felt like the selection of merchandise in the general store was not as eclectic as most general stores I've visited. The majority of the merchandise either fell into what felt like a "live, laugh, love" version of a feminine / children's esthetic, or was downstairs in a section literally called "the man cave". With so many amazing local merchants and artists throughout the West Jefferson community, it would have been nice to see a few more options that fell between these two groups and were maybe a bit more neutral. While I very much enjoyed exploring the store and looking through everything, when it came time to actually purchase something for myself or to use as a gift, I really couldn't settle on anything that would be a good fit.

I mentioned how difficult it was to find a breakfast place that did not have a wait on the weekends. A lovely couple next to us introduced themselves as they were leaving the restaurant as Bill and Susan and recommended we visit the Third Day Market kitchen and bakery on Saturday morning. They spoke so highly of the place we asked if they owned it and they replied no, but that they were lucky enough to work there. We decided to follow thier advice and had breakfast. We enjoyed three different breakfast bowls and one of us chose an early lunch of turkey and avocado sandwich with the soup of the day, roasted red pepper. All meals were delicious and the service was lovely; from the girls behind the counter to our new friend Bill who was in the kitchen and brought us our order when we sat outside. The market outside of town is under some improvements that we can't wait to see when completed, and our visit was so nice we returned that afternoon to have ice cream that is brought down from the Amish in PA. The whole experience was quaint, delicious, and super friendly. We can't wait to go back!
