The couches were comfy for post-fishing lounging, the beds were comfy, the kitchen well supplied, everything clean and fresh. Speaking of fresh, we even got to help unload the live shrimp delivery, which was fun because why not learn a little bit about live bait? The staff is extremely kind and hospitable!

The place is pretty huge with an upstairs and outside space. If you have little ones, or enjoy playing pinball yourself, they have a room where you can play on the Main level.

I was looking for an RV Park close to my parent's home but there were other considerations as well. I started the process more than a month prior to our travel, after looking at the property online I called the property management company and started my inquiry with Debra she was very friendly and provided me with answers to all my questions. I knew there were still a lot of displaced people from the 2020 hurricanes that devastated the area in and around Lake Charles I also knew there were a lot of out of town workers that were taking up a lot of RV sites in the area while working on the numerous projects at the petrochemical plants. Debra is a great communicator and followed up with me as our trip approached, a little more than a week out we confirmed a site and everything was set. I was assigned site #17 a nice drive-through site that would accommodate our 40' MotorCoach and our Jeep Wrangler that was in tow. The utilities hookups were outstanding each site has accommodation for 30 amp and 50 amp electrical service, water and sewer, all of the utilities are very well maintained we experienced no issues. The site was very easy to access even with my big rig I simply pulled in without having to make any corrections, pulling out of the site was just as easy. The park was nearly filled but the sites are laid out in a manner that no one is on top of one another offering some privacy - the park is very quite and well maintained, it ended up being exactly what we were looking for. It's very difficult to find out about an area prior to arriving, this RV Park is in close proximity to I-10 and is located on a non-congested section of Hwy 90, the entrance is gated and the area felt very safe. I'd definitely stay here again if a site is available...

I visited the museum today for the second time. It's really a great place. They had a special…read moreexhibition called Branding the American West. I thought it was very interesting, but I love paintings and sculptures that feature lonely landscapes and typical North American animals. This did not disappoint. The museum itself isn't so big that you're overwhelmed. In fact, an hour or two is sufficient to take in what's on display. The bookstore is also good, with lots of interesting books and a couple of comfortable chairs to sit in for a brief read through. Admission is free and parking is plentiful. So, there's every reason to enjoy this Texas gem!

It's quite clean inside. Not very many places to sit when very full. There are plenty of nice benches outside. When we arrived, it was later in the evening but fully staffed. Even the bathrooms were still spotless. There is a small gift shop upstairs and only vending machines if you need a drink or a snack. When we left, TSA was a breeze to get through, even supplying me with a wooden cane to temporarily use to walk through the metal detector (because I couldn't take my metal cane through it). I really appreciated that. The people at the gates were pleasant and helpful as well.
