I usually don't make reviews but my experience was bad enough that I had to for this place. I…read morewanted my helix done yesterday and luckily they said they had availability but it was later in the evening, not a problem. The piercer was very nice and seemed professional, he had a legit set up and sterilization tools. He ended up using the wrong needle and the wrong jewelry in my helix and I had to take it out. I didn't notice it was wrong until I left the shop. I called them this afternoon to ask for a refund, which they refused. In this call, the person on the other end of the line essentially blamed me for not checking that he was using the right tools. He also tried to tell me that the type of jewelry he used was, in fact, the right one. I have had over 10 piercings in my life as well as a fully healed helix on the other side of my ear, so I know for a fact that this is wrong. As a customer, I should not have to make sure the professional is doing his job right. Not sure about their tattoos, but definitely don't get pierced here.

This place is the best. Carol and Cesar have created an incredible space for the art…read more I have spent hours and hours in the chair under the deft, careful, and incredibly talented hand of Carol Oddy, whose work camouflaging the horrific scars I bore after a somewhat botched (albeit lifesaving) mastectomy has given me a gift that can't be overvalued. I absolutely love what I see in the mirror now. It's always clean, the artwork everywhere is absolute eye candy, and it's home to the biggest lava lamp (ensconced in shelves custom-cut for it) I've ever seen. What more could you ask for?

Jen did an amazing job on the design and I ended up spending less on it than I had budgeted for (this is all subjective though; always ask what the pricing would be because I also got a relatively simple design). There were also so many cool things to look at in the shop, which really helped take my mind off the fact that I was nervous for my first time tattoo. There was even a little Starship Enterprise hanging from the ceiling, which I thought was so cool.

His versatility and use of color is truly outstanding. I have gotten tattoos from multiple artists, but he is by far my favorite one to work with. As a whole, the shop is great. It has a beautiful, old-fashioned layout. I frequently chat with the other artists (Paul and Shawn) and piercer (Dan) in the ship who are also very nice and make the whole experience always fantastic. This is by far the best shop I've been to in the almost 10 years I've been getting tattoos done. I could not recommend them enough.
