He called first to say he was twenty minutes away. When he arrived, my husband showed him the dryer and explained the problem. Mike thought it might be a heat sensor problem. He removed the back of the dryer and found that was the problem. He was able to replace the sensor. Before putting the dryer back to its original position, he also checked the ventilation hose. He removed a bunch of lint which was also blocking the ventilation. We are so pleased with Mike's prompt response to our call and to his expertise and presentation professionalism. Thanks Mike!

Mike put us on his schedule for the next morning, with a 2 hr arrival window. The next morning, (on time!), Mike called to make sure we were home and advised he was on the way. Within 5 minutes of his arrival and testing components inside the back panel, Mike showed me where the heat sensor was inoperable. After placing a new (Warranted) heat sensor and testing that the dryer was once again heating, Mike checked the ventilation inside the wall, leading to the roof, and was able to remove some lint obstruction. Everything sealed and back in place, Mike checked again and had me check inside the dryer to make sure I was satisfied with his repair. Total on site time for this repair, 18 minutes! Very reasonable charges and fast friendly service! Saving Mike's business card! MIKE CHECK ( 1.2.3) ... 5 Star experience!

I contacted Tony about this issue at InCity Appliances who came out on 4.20.19 and gave a quote of $329 for a new thermostat or $89 for the service call if I chose not to repair it. I chose to repair it as the leaking water has been ruining food in the fridge. On May 9th Tony contacted me to inform me that the parts for the fridge finally arrived. I gave a few dates and times during the week or weekend on when someone would be home to have this installed. On 5.14.19 I finally received a call from David who said he worked with Tony to set up an appointment time for Saturday 5.18.19. Saturday came and went and no one showed up. I figured someone would be in touch with me, but no one followed up. I contacted David to let him know no one showed up and to ask him when someone could come out to fix the fridge. He said he would call me the next day as he was not in the office to set up a new appointment - he never called. I followed up again with David on 5.23.19 to let him know he never called me back and to set up a time to have the fridge fixed. Needless to say after a lot of back and forth and non-returned calls someone finally came to fix the fridge on 5.25.19. Unfortunately, this did not fix my fridge. Water is still leaking from the top, freezing in the fridge and ruining food. I have to wipe it up daily. After giving the fridge a few days to see if it would stop, I contacted David on 5.31.19 to let him know the fridge was still having the same issue and was not fixed. He said it sounded exactly like the fridge needed to have the drain cleaned instead - so why did I just pay for a new thermostat?! Someone came and looked at the fridge again and determined it is not a thermostat that I needed, but a new gasket for the freezer. According to David that is going to cost another $160 and no they will not refund in any way for the unnecessary repair they made to my fridge which did not fix the issue. I contacted them in April, it is now July 1st and I still have a fridge leaking water and am out a couple hundred dollars. I will be reporting them and letting my credit card company know I was ripped off. Stay away from this place.

I called A-1 to repair our oven which had failed. They charged $120 for the house call to look at…read moreit. They came out they determined it needed a part (ignitor) for which they charged an additional $259. The next day they installed the part but it did not resolve problem (oven still didn't work). They came back the next day with another part that also did not fix issue. They then determined that the electronics were at fault and that repair would not be possible as the part was no longer available. The next day I called Fred, the owner, to reuest a refund. He refulsed to refund any more than $100 of the $379 I had paid him via Zelle, saying that he could not refund any more than that because the manufacturer (Samsung) would not take the parts back. I find his actions and attitude unethical and totally unacceptable. I have not cashed the check and will be taking it with me to smalll claims court.
