You know how the stereotype is that people in France are rude and condescending especially toward Americans? Based on our recent trip to Paris and to this this restaurant in particular, I would say my experience couldn't be further from the truth. We were greeted warmly (even if you can't speak French be polite and start off with Bon Jour! when you enter any business), the staff helped us to order, and frequently checked up on us to make sure we were doing well. At one point, one of the employees noticed we had a bag of pastries we had picked up on the way and offered to keep them cool in their refrigerator.
As for the food, it was fantastic. I'm really picky when it comes to burgers (it's one of my favorite food groups) but these were outstanding and easily better than most I've ever had in the States. Unfortunately, a return visit would be pretty difficult but I wanted others to know how much we enjoyed our visit. Thanks to all the wonderful employees at Big Ferdinand for a memorable visit! read more
