My mom and I decided to try going for a foot massage at Big Feet in North Vancouver. They're a chain store with many different locations throughout Greater Vancouver. Their massages are based on the principles or reflexology and acupressure.  Prepare to grit your teeth if you come for a massage here. They have very strong hands and apply very strong pressure. I was wearing my face mask and aside from just trying to stay healthy...I was kinda glad to have my face mask on so that nobody could see me scrunching up my face in pain while they were massaging my feet! I like strong massages though. I kinda tend to think that the more pressure they apply...even though it might be painful in the moment, it's probably doing more good for me in the long run. So...would I go back to Big Feet? Yes. Even though it was actually kinda painful and hard to tolerate...I'd go back.  The staff were all chinese and it didn't seem like they knew much English, so...go for the massage only, and don't expect any conversation while you're there. If they do happen to start chatting with you then....all the better! read more

Had the most horrible body massage today. I was in a double room with only a curtain dividing us and the man in the next room was moaning during his session. My therapist was terrible as well. She asked if I wanted an hour session instead of 50 mins so I agreed yes and then the massage was just awful. She spent so much time on my backside and legs pressing with her elbows and then I finally asked if she could use oil and do my back and neck. The guy doing the massage next to me had to tell her in her language I am assuming to use oil. She proceeded to dump so much oil on me and barely massaged my back and neck. Honestly the weirdest and worst massage I have ever had. When she told me I was done I looked at the clock at it was 50 mins and not the hour we had discussed. Think there was definitely a language barrier there. Would not recommend! My husband however had a foot massage and loved it. My girlfriend also had one at the same time and said hers was rough and terrible. read more

It's taken me years to find a true professional who also has the hand strength to address my issues in my feet and also he pulled out the pain and stress in my ankles and calvs I didn't even know were there. So grateful. read more

I had the most disappointing experience at Big Feet. Despite a confirmed appointment, we faced a 45-minute wait, were offered inadequate alternatives, and experienced unprofessional behaviour, including offensive language from the so-called manager! To our shock, we were physically ejected and the staff gave us the middle finger as we exited the premises. Customer service is not defined for these guys!!! read more

I enjoyed my foot massage; the woman was great, friendly and smiley. The owner at the front desk was rude. It was my first time there, and I was a walk-in. The owner eye-rolled when I was unsure of what service I wanted. They also only give you a copy of the credit card receipt; when I asked for one that I could use to get reimbursed from my health plan, he eye-rolled again. Very disappointed. read more

If you are looking for deep tissue, it's not a place for you. I was unlucky and got a "masseuse" that was very harshly moving his elbows on my body, sometimes going over the bones, that me and the whole bed was shaking. He never really got anywhere deep, mostly over the top of the skin and bones. The opposite of relaxing (( I asked him to work on my feet and cuffs, but he kept going back to my back. Also, their pipes that are located on the ceiling are leaking, so be careful and don't get wet ;) Plus some of their staff is loudly speaking Chinese, quite annoying and non relaxing. Johnson was a very strong, skilled, and professional therapist and I can't wait to go back! I walked in and was served immediately. Not sure which service to order I asked for some neck and upper back tension release w the foot and leg reflexology. Johnson did both and charged me a small fee of $45 for an hour of bliss..... Ok and hour of bliss mixed w good pain (from which he says I'll feel better later). The location has free parking in the rear of the building (street parking almost non existent on marine drive!). Very clean and brand new equipment. Cozy chair, nice clean blankets, and hot towels to finish the treatment. Super happy to recommend this business :) read more

I left Big Feet being chased to my car by 3 employees and the manager, while he filmed me with his phone and forcingly held my door open so I couldn't leave. Here is what happened: After a body massage I sat down to get a foot massage. Five minutes into my foot massage, one of the employees comes to me with his phone asking if I parked my car in the back. I told him I had and this is where he accused me of scratching his car. He said he will call 911! I told him he had made a mistake as the scratch he showed on my car is over 5 years old and did not match the scratch on his. He walked back outside and I no longer felt relaxed to continue the foot massage. I said I want to leave and the woman massaging my feet kept pulling my toes to force me to stay as I pulled away. I went and paid for my body massage and tipped her. The manager tried charging me for the foot massage even though I was 5 minutes in. I walked to my car, as I tried to get in the man who accused me forced my car door open, this is when the woman who massaged me and 2 other employees came out and yelled at me. Trying to force me to stay and pay for damages I did not make. I told the man to back away from me and then the manager tried grabbing me to stay. As I tried to drive off they crowded my car as the man was filming me with his phone and yelling at me that he will call the police. What kind of customer service is this? Who treats people like that? I will no longer support ANY Big Feet locations. read more

I just had an incredible lymphatic drainage massage ($72) by Lily! I called at around 5pm and they were able to book me in for 7pm. When I arrived they had me quickly sign a COVID waiver and provided me with a mask to wear (I already had mine though). Lily worked out all the knots in my body from head to toe and was very nice! She asked me if she was being too hard when working out certain knots and was very attentive when I said yes for my neck. 10/10 would recommend! read more

I've been here twice for foot reflexology. First experience was good - I had a male masseuse and he did a really good job. I had a second appointment today and won't be going back. There was an unpleasant smell throughout the space and even though my masseuse was responsive when I asked her to apply more pressure, I really didn't enjoy the massage. Big Feet - 1346 Marine Drive North Vancouver, has the WORST customer service. I have given them many chances & every time they say they will improve, but it never changes. I booked an appointment for my husband & I a week in advance, I called 2 hours before to ensure they are not running late or they have made an error for our appointment, the manager assures me everything is on time. When we walk in, they take us both, they start with my foot reflexology session while my husband has his feet soaking in the water. After 10 minutes I ask where his masseuse is, they said just a few minutes, by this time the bucket of water is lukewarm at best. Finally the masseuse arrives, but not once did they mention they were running late or even apologize. The client before us was late, so now my husband & I are not having our treatment together. When it was time to pay I asked to speak with the manager, but she left early & has yet to call me back. They are unorganized, understaffed, & have no customer service skills. It is pointless to book an appointment as they are rarely on time. To top it off most times the staff are talking to each other during the foot reflexology treatments. I go there to relax, not to listen to them talk to each other. My recommendations for the manager: 1) get organized, space appointments with enough time between 2) don't allow your staff to have long conversations during foot reflexology treatments. 3) Have 1 person at the front at all times to answer the phone, take payments & clean up. 4) If you are running late, communicate that with the customer. I would NOT recommend this location to anyone. read more

After a few days of outside adventures in the cold, I was feeling a little beat up. This place came up on Groupon, so I made an appointment for a same day 50 minute body massage. Maura did the damn thing! She put her entire body into it! I haven't felt that relaxed in a really long time, and I might say that's the best massage I ever received. The place could have been a touch more zen, but honestly, once Maura started her magic, the ambiance was irrelevant. Loved this place! read more

I dont feel these people know how to run a business First of all they double booked us, then they said no you cant get a massage, one guy ran over to a girl , to ask her about our appointment, she seemed as confused as us, it was the most unrelaxing experience! Just left Big Feet in North Vancouver BC totally disgusted by their manager ... Im sitting in the chair having my feet dried after a nice hot water soak.. The young lady was drying my feet and the manager walked up and asked me if this was my first time there and i said no.. i had been there a few times... then she asked to cut me to a half session as the young lady begins to work on me... then she tells me two other ladies just came in for a massage and would like to have the same massage time so shes cutting my session in half as im in the way... VERY CRAPPY SERVICE..... so I left with no session at all not worth a rating ... Gwen S read more
