So I am not gonna lie, I am not a huge fan of Petsmart(not because of this specific store but just…read morein general) but I gotta say, I am really glad I took Teddy here for his haircut today. I barely take Teddy to the grooming place just because he gets super nervous whenever random people touch him and you know, I just don't want him to go thru all that crazy dramatic experience. But today, I thought that it's about that time to get his haircut done at the grooming place(I usually shave him at my house lol) and I decided to take him to Petsmart in Garner. I looked up their price and menu online first and then called them to make an appointment. I did not expect to take Teddy there today since its Sunday and I thought that they would be super busy, but well well well, they had some available spots and lady who was on the phone helped me book Teddy's haircut appointment. Few hours later, I got there with Teddy's vaccine paper and Kelsey took Teddy inside. She said she would call me once everything is done. I got a call like 3 hrs later and then when I got there to pick Teddy up, Teddy came out with this amazingly cute haircut and it just melted my heart:) This was his second time getting his haircut at Petsmart and I LOVED his new haircut; Kelsey did such a great job shaving Teddy's body(everything looks so even), tail, legs, and trimming face area. I was so happy with Teddy's new haircut and price was pretty reasonable too. Teddy got too excited when I got there, so he peed several times in Petsmart... I felt so bad but I def would come back for his haircut again!

Came here for my dog's first ever grooming appointment and for starters I had an appointment with…read moresomeone else, but ended up getting Sue S. She was very rude as soon as I walked in, ignored all the warnings about my dog that was shared, Kept telling me to leave the area while checking in my dog? which was very rude and unwelcoming. The way she was handling my dog and was already annoyed with her within 5 minutes was concerning to me. At the end of the appointment, Sue decided to go on a whole nasty rant and tell me that I am to blame for my dog anxious behavior on her FIRST appointment. Sue told me to never bring my dog here again myself?? To let someone else do it because apparently I am the reason my dog is annoying her. After 30 minutes with my dog, she feels so confident to self diagnose me and my dog. Then proceeds to keep being nasty and rude to the point where others told her to stop!! I got a package, the appointment said it would be 1-2 hour. It ended in less than 30 mins. I checked my dog in the car. Paws not trimmed, Didn't bother to dull her nails either. The package contained a lot of services but I am positive only about 2 of those services got done. I am very upset about this. Do not bring your dog to this location, They don't complete the job, the place is unsanitary and overall not welcoming. Sue is always at the door on the computer when you first walk in. STAY AWAY FROM SUE S, SHE HATES HER JOB!! IF YOU REALLY LOVE YOUR DOG, DON'T LET HER NEAR THEM.

We sent our pit bull, Ollie, there and we are happy to report that he is now the best boy. We…read morerescued him from the shelter in 2018 and we quickly saw that we had some work to do. He pulled on the leash, barked at the door, and had bouts of aggression when he didn't get his way. I felt uneasy having guests over because I felt like I had no control over my dog. Basically, my dog owned me.. not vis versa. He did ~2 weeks of the board and train program at SMS Raleigh and even though we were nervous to send him away (it felt like forever!), we loved getting bi-weekly updates from his trainer and seeing his progress. Training Ollie will always be a work in progress but the biggest different we have seen is that HE LISTENS! Hallelujah. My friends come over and say they see a huge difference in him - he's calm, sweet, and charming. He is still a dog.. he does bark at the mailman, and sometimes pulls on the leash, but if we correct him, he is happy to obey. I also love the fact that we have free access to the group classes 2x a week and have the opportunity to continue training him. Overall, we are very happy with his progress and we are dedicated to continue training him with the SMS methods.

Colby the owner explained it best to me when he said "It's not about punishment, it's about attention and boundaries. Dogs want to please their owners, so once you have their attention their instinct takes over and training becomes easier. The strides and response to this training are remarkable. So pleased with the results so far. I am happy and more importantly my dog is happy. We have only had 3 private whole day training sessions, and tonight we will attend our first group training. Looking forward to this as it can only help build on the foundation established in the private 3 lessons. The training is not inexpensive, however it cheaper than replacing carpet not to mention several pairs of shoes, baseboards ETC. I recommend sitting down with Colby or any of the other trainers and let them explain why this works. You won't have any regrets. Rick W
