DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS SHOP UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. NO STARS!! My vehicle has electrical…read moreproblems and would not start. It was originally intended to be towed but upon arrival the wife and her mechanic decided to drive it from Louisiana to Texas and back. I was contacted by the husband and told it just needed a starter. I was relieved and okayed him to put brake pads on the front a long with the starter. The price I was quoted was $427. A couple of hours later I was contacted by the wife with a $742 price and was told the mechanic was working on the tvs in the rear but that they were now in working order. Ans yes i did question the difference in price. I received my vehicle way beyond empty in gas. Upon arrival the wife told me on the way to drop it off the front blinkers went out. The price was $932 for a starter and brakes pads and rotors on the rear. I would never request brake service ONLY on a rear wheel drive vehicle. My intention was to have it start. Brake pads were optional and with it only being a starter i figured brake pads in the front wouldnt hurt. It will no longer start unless have it jumped. I had to pay AAA that day to get me on the road again after being left with not even enough gas to get less than a street away to the gas station, where I live. My tvs and ac now turn on and off even with the vehicle is off. I reported them to BBB and their response was that I am angry because they do not do provide gas service and that I appeared to be under the influence. And that they don't understand the problem since they returned the vehicle with no drop off fee. (I was told they offer pick up and drop off service) My father is retired law enforcement and i work for the state. This is accusatory and depicts defamation of character. When I called the shop 5 minutes after receiving the vehicle the husband was rude, laughed at me and continuously kept calling me back with no resolution besides arguing. I have text messages from the shop stating the mechanic was working on the electrical problem yet my receipt only depicts a starter, and brake bads and rotors. I only know they are on the rear only because I got underneath the car and can see the front was never taken apart at all. This was a surprise.Let's be real... if your car doesn't start and you have to get it towed would you request brakes to resolve the issue? Lol!! RUN from this duo. They use miscommunication between]1 husband and wife as a tool and obviously only oversell brakes to compensate for what the shop is lacking. I am now filing criminal charges.

Sharp eyes for an issue with my Ford F-250 that could have been disastrous if not caught by the well-trained owner. Immediately authorized the work and within 30 minutes, parts were on location and work was completed in a very reasonable time. With a military discount, I left there with a satisfaction that could come with any other auto repair location. Highly recommend K & A Auto to anyone with auto repair needs. Employees are well qualified for any kind of challenge. They do boat engine repairs as well as working on Diesel engines. It's worth a call, or better yet....let them have a look at your concerns. It's worth a drive. Military discount's applied.

Interstate 49 in Louisiana is most likely the most boring road in all of America. Now that I think…read moreabout it, the interstate in Louisiana all kind of blows. No matter where you're going you have to deal with left lane hogs, traffic issues (I'm looking at you BR, Basin, and Lake Chuck), and in the case of 49, vast expanses of nothingness. So when you're cruising at the 75 mph speed limit on 49 and need to pee, there aren't too many options. This gas station was the only option when I was informed by my youngest that we had better stop soon. So stop we did. If this weren't the only option for miles, I would have turned around when I pulled in. The parking lot was rough with large crates as if someone remade the surface of the moon. The outside looked a little run down and shady. Inside looked even way more run down and shady. The bathroom, well, lets just say it was a bit of a horror show. But they did have soap and towels which was A-OK. So why two stars instead of one? You're not going to believe this, but they sold Valentina hot sauce. It was even the big bottle. The attendant was nowhere to be seen so I waited at least five minutes, probably ten, for him to come back inside and ring me up. But hey, you don't see this hot sauce everywhere and it is good. The end. PS I-49 sucks.
