The course consists of 18 holes which are tucked away in a nice portion of Kennewick's Columbia Park. There are all kinds of cool obstructions to deal with (lots of trees, bushes, long grass, water, dogs, drunk golfers, etc.). I was surprised by all the golfers who play here--who woulda known. oh, the other thing I should mention is that one must really keep track of their discs. There are tons of "disc black holes" here, so make sure to keep eagle eyes on your frisbees, and to use those fluorescent day-glo-colored discs. Other than that, have fun out the course!

I would give this a higher rating but some of the driving pads are in poor condition and have sitting water on them making it had to throw your disc without breaking an ankle. Wow. This is a huge, well maintained disc golf course in Walla Walla. This spacious park is home…read moreto three courses. We were impressed with the large map near tee 1 that detailed the tees and baskets for the red and blue courses. Each cement tee pad had the number of the tee painted on it, very clear labeling method . The course is very open, trees were the main obstructions. The majority of the tees were on the main part of the course whose grass is mowed and bushes are trimmed. The area across the bridge however has extremely overgrown grass to contend with. The third course, the black course, is reserved for tournaments . Several disc golf tournaments are held here. Overall, this park is a great destination for disc golfers.

Be certain to lick things up and pack your trash out too. There are some amazing view point to consider. If you enjoy nature walk or hikes, this can be a place to enjoy. Skip the Lewis and Clark trail at McNary park. It's not much of a workout because there isn't much…read moreof an incline. Worse, there is hardly any shade, so it's pretty much like a trek through the desert. While the view of the river might motivate you at first, it soon becomes drab and there is not much respite by looking to the other side, which is purely mountain terrain. To get from one park to another (McNary to Hat Rock or vice versa), you have to hike about 8 miles or so, so if you decide to come here despite my discouragement, come in the early morning or late evening and jog it out when it is cooler. Try to bring company, as there was not a single soul and I suspect shady people could do some serious damage if they wanted.

I was hiking (wandering)…read morearound the park part of this installation out past the turn about and walked back along the river and found myself here... walked around a bit since nobody was actively discing and everything appears in good order: tees and targets and turf are totally playable if you have the necessary equipment - which I don't. plenty of parking nearby and personal facilities are open in season and the visitor center is open most of the time during normal visiting hours. so if you do you can, if you don't you could.
