Big D's is the place to if you need anything related to personal watercraft. Donny and his crew have serviced my ski every year for winterization and I couldn't ask for better service. Couple of years ago I sucked up a few rocks and destroyed my prop. I tried to do the repair myself but got in over my head. Took the ski down to Big D's and Donny stepped away from what he was working on and spent about an hour taking me through the process to fix the ski myself. No charge! couldn't be more disappointed in Donny. He charged me $5,000 for a total rebuild on my Yamaha 250 dirt bike which took over 4 months to complete. within an hour of the first ride the oil plug fell out, because he didn't tighten it correctly, and the engine seized. This happened on the day before thanksgiving at Winchester Bay. When I returned the bike to Donny a couple days later he said he'd stand by his work. Now here it is middle of March and he still hasn't repaired the bike and he won't take my phone calls. I've never experienced this level of dereliction in business in my life. I try to support small businesses but Donny has continued to disappoint me and neglect me when I call for updates. The few times he has answered my phone calls he usually gets very contentious with me and has a new excuse for why he can't get to my stuff even though I see him all over facebook doing events and repairing other machines. read more

I don't throw out a one star review often or take it lightly. Big D's is a sloppy mess. Literally, the work space is a haphazard mess with parts and tool laying all over. The customer service was awful, I was told I would get called back at least half a dozen times which never happened. And the service was dogsh!t. I had missing parts that I noticed when I got home that I had to call them back and get later. This was a $600 lesson to never take anything here. All I came in for was a carb rebuild on a quad and an oil change. They forgot to do the oil change And it took almost 6 weeks for the carb which was nonsense. Total sloppy workmanship, sloppy service, sloppy customer service, and sloppy employees. read more

I take very good care of my stuff. Went to check on my boat and I was horrified with the condition I found it in. So much I took the boat home immediately!!! Cover was blown off and against another customers side by side, Had my shafts sitting on dirty asphalt, bent my hydrofoil as well while sitting on same asphalt. I wouldn't be writing this if I did get my receipts and a copy of my consent after 3-4 weeks of trying. Many cons: 1. Very unprofessional (was arguing with her son while helping us. Her son keep interrupting in conversations). She also laughed at me for saying I will be the one responsible for the boat despised that Im the one paying. Idk if that is bc Im younger than my dad or that im asian and my dad is Caucasian. 2. Charged without providing receipts even though we called and texted many times. The charges for damage were huge too ($1000) and I got no receipt. Its been 3-4 weeks now. 3. Never provided us with a copy consent that we signed 4. The owner didnt know that there were first aid in the boat. The life jackets smell funny. 5. The owner didnt warned us about boating hazard beside "dont go on an island" which we complied but never mentioned the level of water which her husband did after we returned the boat. 6.
