They fired me from the position with the excuse that the pop cup from Caseys. I bought on my way to work, with a snow ball in it so I would have a drink for the 4 hour shift I worked. Led them to believe I was drinking on the job. Sorry to inform you but I am a type 1 diabetic and cannot drink any kind of alcohol. So I guess what I am getting at is. If they will treat there employees like that how do they feel about and treat people off the street. I don't have a desire to do business with a company that works that way. I am not mad about losing the job I just want let people know what kind of business they are.

This location is FILTHY, unorganized, terribly stocked, and has employees who really don't seem to mind providing bad customer service or doing their paid job of keeping the store orderly. For all kinds of retail locations, the holiday season is absolutely CHAOTIC! Trust me, I know. I have worked in retail previously myself. But this also means it's one of the most crucial times of the year to keep the store in tip-top shape! I really like shopping at Dollar General. They have an array of cool things during different times of the year, cheap alternatives to many everyday items that actually work, etc. But in this location, it sincerely looks like a tornado has it hit, several times without the clean-up crew to help. The Christmas aisles are thrown about, unrelated items are stacked on top of one another on many shelves, the floors are disgusting, there are many pieces of merchandise that lines the floors instead of shelves, etc. It is EXTREMELY hard to find what you need at times, making an in and out trip turn into a half an hour trip to the store. This is the only dollar store in Hays, Kansas. As a customer and a resident, I want it to succeed because many citizens shop at this store. But the way it is now, I don't see it lasting for a long time unfortunately. That's my opinion from what I have previously seen in the world of retail. The only reason it's still open and hasn't closed it's doors is the fact that it IS a dollar store. Also, the employees there never smile, greet you nicely, or provide any sort of helpful customer service, at least in my experience.
