Studying here isn't bad...they don't blast the music. Music is good here :) I order Caribbean passion it's what I expect, fruity haha. 5 stars because every order I've had has tasted great. I remember in the states there were times it just didn't taste right. I wonder if they know the secret menu...probably not. I'll ask next time. I'll just keep my order simple for now. After overloading on coffee all the time Jamba is perfect!

I love berries particularly, so I'm all about the Five Fruit Frenzy and the Razzmatazz. I have a best friend in their Strawberry Surf Rider though. Most people can't take its intense tartness but I can't live without it. It's all just pulverized fruit, I know, but it gives me so much pleasure, that when the Jamba Juice at Magnolia packed up and left, I could have cried. That mall is now a sadder version of what it once was without a Jamba Juice. Luckily for me, they opened another branch at the nearby Tomas Morato. It lacks the particular homeyness of the Magnolia store--it's kinda small and too open and visible from the street, I feel--but I can make do. For the sake of the smoothie.

Your review helps others learn about great local businesses…read more Hillside Juice Bar is a detox juice bar along Mother Ignacia. It's not as visible from the outside, except for the hanging signage. It resides inside a garden plant store. I checked out the menu from the internet and was surprised with the prices of their offering and found it too expensive. Passing by all cafes today, almost all establishment was closed, except for starbucks, because of election day, so we ended up here. Checking their menu, they specialized in healthy smoothies, detox juice, and organic, healthy offering. We had our breakfast burrito (veggie option) and mango beet smoothie. The burrito was surprisingly tasty even though the filling was just garlic brown rice, black beans, and fried tofu with a homemade tomato sauce on the side. It was light, healthy, and tasty. The smoothies was refreshing and naturally sweet. None or little sugar was added and topped with dried goji berry that freezes inside the drink and created the crisp texture. Hillside Juice Bar will be one of my favorite healthy detox place in Manila. They make carnivores appreciate meatless diet that is full of flavor. It's a good break once in a while from our usual, oily, fatty diet. #TheFoodCrawlers #OngsFoodprintsPlease don't review this business if you received a freebie for writing this review, or if you're connected in any way to the owner or employees.

But now, let's take it back to the streets of the QC, Quezon City baby! Another side. Hillsiiiiiiiiide! Stepping into this place felt like I was stepping into a fancy Berkeley resto/cafe. Just has some of the nicest, cleanest, modern decor. Absolutely love the vibe of this place. At it's heart, Hillside if a juice and detox spot. But it's awesome food makes it oh so much more than that. First and foremost: service is excellent. Friendly staff and quick service. No complaints. Keep reading, party people. Taking a look at the menu, you see a plethora of awesome items and an astounding variety of juices, smoothies, and shakes. More on that later. But looking at the menu... I was absolutely enamored as to what the heck I should try out. It all sounded so good. Here's what my friends and I all tried: - Pumpkin soup - Beef soft tacos - Baked salmon with brown rice and caesar dressing - Corned grass-fed short ribs with buttered polenta - Calamansi ginger juice - Activated charcoal lemonade - Vegan chocolate cake - Choco peanut butter nana smoothie - Tropics smoothie - Cacao fudge smoothie In terms of the food we ate, the quality was absolutely perfect. I love food, but tasting the food here really opened my eyes to just how good food could be if it's 1) organic, 2) locally sourced, and 3) prepared fresh. I mean, I know organic tastes good, but this was on another level. The beef in the tacos and the short ribs was rich, tender, juicy, and oh so savory. The soup was incredible, and I don't often do soups. The salmon was some of the cleanest seafood I've ever tasted. And everything served around these absolutely complemented well. Especially that buttered polento, oh goodness. The smoothies were amazing! These weren't some wimpy smoothies either. They were chock full of fresh fruits and other ingredients. The cacao fudge smoothie was mind blowingly good. The charcoal lemonade... well, it did it's job, the following morning. Good though! And the finisher: the vegan chocolate cake. So dark, dense, and rich, you would have no idea it was vegan. It was an amazing dessert. Things don't get much better than Hillside. I know I said Sunny Side was my top spot of 2017, but Hillside... man, it's about neck and neck. Phenomenal food, a great staff, and awesome prices. I could not ask for much more. This is a perfect 5 stars, seriously. You need to try it for yourself to see why. Go. Do it.

What's so remarkable is that they're no frills juice. No extenders, no colors, no ice, no milk, no chemicals, no syrup. Just juice. In a bottle. With a bit of pulp. Pure. Freaking. Juice. How amazing is that? Want me to amaze you even more? It's only 50php. Yes, you heard me. For 50php, you get about 400-450ml of pure unadulterated juice. That is an AMAZING deal, if you ask me. It's also exactly what these hot summer days have been practically clamoring for. I admit, I've probably been a little dehydrated nowadays so a bottle of their guyabano juice (yes, they have guyabano juice. Don't look at me like that. I love guyabano.) was nothing short of heaven. It was cold and sweet and absolutely fresh. Guilt free juice. And apart from guyabano, they have orange, lemon, watermelon and mango just to name a few. Typical tropical fruit flavors. Unfortunately, they just opened so there aren't that many stalls open yet. Just two in SM City North EDSA so if you're ever in the area, do it. Give up Frutas, give up Jamba Juice and give these guys a try. I guarantee you'll walk away a believer.

And oh, that's an image of summer, the beach, and of course, of healthy drinks! Islands Juice is obviously a juice company, but what may be hidden from our view is how great they actually are. I like the fact that they don't add chemicals or intense sweeteners: they let you taste how naturally sweet these fruits from nature are. I recommend the Guyabano, Lychee, Lemon and Watermelon (definitely their best seller). So what are you waiting for? Spend your money wisely and drink healthy!

The difference would be the mixes of fruit, the selection of food and The Big Chill has juice boosts and uses Filipino fruits. If you're craving for Jamba Juice but it's not anywhere near where you are, your best yummy backup is The Big Chill. Not to say that one is lesser than the other, it's just it does have similarities. Either way, whichever you buy drinks from, you'll surely satisfy your thirst and taste buds. Whenever my family watches a movie in the Power Plant Mall, I either get coconut juice or have my regular Supercharger in The Big Chill. It has mango, strawberry and grape, 3 of my favorite fruits and has a blend of anti-oxidants, nutrients and amino acids so what's not to like? It tastes so good too! Don't let the striking green color make you think it tastes like bland vegetables because it doesn't. I've tasted their sandwiches too but they're nothing special. Green mango and pineapple paradise are delicious choices as well and I make it a point to couple them with Spirulina - which is a super food that is good for your immune system and rich in protein.

However, there was one morning when I wanted some milk tea. I went to the food hall in La Salle, only to find that the only place open was Big Chill. I still wanted a drink, so I was like, "why the hell not, I'll try it out." I ordered their Power Breakfast, which was oats and bananas. I fully expected to not really love it. Boy, was I wrong. I absolutely loved that thing. Obviously, it tasted like breakfast. I like eating fresh bananas, but normally, I dislike bananas in juices and shakes 'cause it stops tasting fresh. However, Big Chill's shake tastes like I'm eating the bananas. It's grinded just well enough so that there's no annoyingly huge chunks of ice that I hate when it comes to shakes or smoothies.
