Well it's been 9 months since my 4 star review of Big Bully Turf. After several followups on some post installation issues my turf is "generally" doing fine. I had a minor issue today when I had a Big Bully technician come out and review an issue of a portion of turf pulling up. I figured it was a minor warranty issue. An hour after he left, I received a written estimate with a cost to repair my new turf. I immediately called Big Bully warranty and they said there were "2 teeth marks" from a dog. Yes, I do have a dog and I assured them the only thing the dog bites into is food. That didn't seem to matter, I was responsible for the cost to repair the turf. The most aggravating part of this conversation was that "CHELSEY" never stopped tapping on her keyboard. I asked her to stop, She said she was in the middle of something when I called and was very busy. I asked her if she was too busy to talk to a customer that just spent $9000 on turf. She was indifferent and quite rude. Big Bully may have the best turf out there , but they could really shine if they had more customer interfacers, that understand that the customer pays their Salary read more

We had turf installed 6 months ago by Big Bully. The installation went as planned but after a couple of months we saw a section that appeared to "bubble" up in our yard. Due to some health problems I waited to call them to come and take a look to see what the problem is. I finally called them, sent the pictures they asked for, and waited for their reply. I had mentioned in my initial call that it might be roots causing the problem. I should never had said that as they sent me an email saying they would come out to take care of the problem caused by the roots at the cost of $450. They assumed that was the problem without ever coming to take a look! Even if it was a root problem, that would indicate an installation problem as this was just installed 6 months ago! Needless to say, I'm done with them and would not recommend them. Stay away from Big Bully! read more

In May, 2025 we had a Rep come to our home to provide us with a quote for turf based upon a cad drawing from the pool company for our complete renovation of our backyard. He initially seemed professional as he did not have all the answers and said he would like to come back with someone who had more experience. He was here for quite a while taking measurements, pictures, and lots of notes. He promised he would get back to us in a day or two with a quote and to schedule a time when he could return with another project Rep. We never heard back from him. We continued calling him several times because he didn't respond. I reached out to another person from the company and our original Rep finally called back and was quite rude and disrespectful. He admitted that he "lost" all of his notes, pictures and measurements and he had no intention of coming back to start over. As a matter of fact he said that when jobs start off on a bad note like this (his mistake and lack of organization), he feels that we wouldn't work well together. Well he was correct about that! We agreed after his lack of professionalism, lack of organization and rudeness - there was no way we would give Big Bully Turf our business. Just today, 8.5 months later, we received a follow up text asking if we were ready to finish our project?!? NO, I would not recommend using them. Sadly, it sounds like they have a great product especially for dog owners, but we've moved on. read more

Highly don't recommend this company. The customer experience is horrific and no one responds accept to take payment. Scheduling was horrible and the coordinator never responds (Brittney M). After I called corporate someone finally called me the next day (Jacob). Nice guy but then when the project manager came out, only then did they say that it was a crap job and the seam wasn't done properly. The install crew shows back up and says they can do much because the turf is burnt from wherever they stored it. Now I am sitting with a "warranty claim" from a brand new install. Don't use this company read more

We have four dogs and had a dirt backyard. In the desert that made things messy most of the time. The turf is a game changer. What a difference. It looks beautiful. The dogs love laying on it. And the turf has a sound abatement feature I most certainly did not expect. The green is a stark contrast and really pops. The crew is great. They worked very hard and really put together a great finished product. Good guys. I recommend BBT. It really did change our entire yard and allows us to now have a usable outdoor space. Thank you! read more

From start to finish, my experience was superb. I first met with Tyler who listened and understood exactly what I wanted. My first impression was how much I appreciated that, although he could have, he didn't try to up sell me on anything I didn't need. My second personal contact was with Michael the Project Manager for southern Arizona. He stopped by to let me know that the installers were finishing the previous job and would be here soon. He also said to call him if I had any questions. I can't be more pleased with the the service, but more importantly, the product quality! It's exactly how I envisioned it to be! read more

I requested a quote from Big Bully Turf and met with Scott Bridger to design the layout of my yard and to get a quote. Scott was very detailed and attentive to our requests for services and even something different like removing a built in grill and capping the gas lines. The quote was very fair for the quality of turf they use and the level of detail our job required. PS: the dogs loved him. read more

POOR communication. After "Final Inspection" never heard back from them. Materials left in front yard for weeks. NO phone calls from management. Just recordings from people you can NEVER reach. Was told drains would be "Under Turf" NOPE yard looks fake with the "under Turf" drains in plain sight. Buyer beware and do your homework. Call around unless you like the sound of crickets because that is all you will hear from these people once they have your money. If your product is as good as you claim and drains as good as you claim WHY did you do this in my yard? I don't think people want to look at this when enjoying their yard. read more

The job was completed and looks fantastic. I ended up with a drip leak afterwards. But, they came back and fixed it no problem. I hope it's true that it doesn't get really hot in the summer. Only time will tell. It is expensive but it does appear to be a great quality. read more

We decided to install turf play yards for our dogs, despite the intense Tucson heat--and we're so glad we did! Every aspect of the project went seamlessly (no pun intended!). Tyler, our designer, was incredibly thorough and even helped us incorporate paver patios that complement the beautiful turf perfectly. Over the course of just a little more than three days, Deante's crew worked tirelessly to transform our space into two stunning play yards. They look fantastic and are so much more functional than the gravel pits we had before. The turf is lush and expertly fitted to our open areas, including one yard with challenging angles and cut-ins. The Big Bully Turf team powered through over three days of 105-degree weather without missing a beat. We couldn't be more satisfied--and the dogs absolutely love their new play surface. We would gladly use this company again and highly recommend them! read more

I have 2 big dogs that constantly get filthy in our dirt back yard, not to mention during monsoon with the mud. I thought I'd never be able to afford turf due to its size. I would first like to say I have no idea how they install and the quality of the turf that BBT installs because the negative issues are with sales person that came out to our house and the hard pressure tactics and negative interactions. He came to our home to give a bid, said he would have a price for me before he left the site and warned me their sales prices would end on the same day. After measuring, he told me we could go into my house and sit down and talk about the price. I Informed him we would not be going inside due to personal reasons, but offered to sit in the back covered patio, he went to his truck, retrieved turf samples, then said when is your wife going to look at the samples? I offered to walk the samples inside to show my wife, then was irritated and said when is your wife available? I informed him I was going to make the decision for the family, she did not need to meet with him today. He then just got irritated and left saying call back when we were ready, both of us! He promised a bid price on the spot, then reversed and said he was leaving and for us to set something up. His angle was most likely to put a hard sales pressure? Terrible business model! Very rude and unprofessional they want to put high pressure on you to buy on the spot. read more

Missed the green grasses in New York but not the mowing or watering so decided to check into artificial turf. Didn't know who to call, but when we saw the ad for Big Bully Turf, we were thoroughly impressed and called. There sales representative, Tyler, answered all our questions and concerns and after seeing the product we didn't hesitate to have it done. We had a 13x25 brick patio area that had to be removed first, so it was a long and hot day for the crew. They were fantastic and did an awesome job and didn't leave until the job was done. It has totally changed the look and feel of the back yard area and we truly enjoy having our morning coffee on the back porch and enjoy the green grass. You can't even tell it is not real. So if you are looking to enhance your yard, look no further. The quality of the staff, the quality of the product and the affordability far exceeded our expectations. Make Big Bully Turf your first and last call. You will not be sorry. Don't settle for anything less. read more

Their sales rep measured our area, quoted $2,500 total. We agreed, signed a ducusign contract. Been waiting approx (3) weeks to schedule installation. Received phone call our rep had quit, they'd have to sent new rep out to measure area. His measurement were more for same area, but he stated several times there wouldn't be any additional cost as it was their mistake. His boss called today to inform us the "new price" would be $5,800! And...didn't include some of the prep work originally included!! I am now proceeding with legal recourse. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! read more

Today I had an appointment to put turf in my back yard with Scott. He was on time and immediately introduced himself. He was so pleasant to work with. He listened to all my concerns and eased my mind with how they would work with everything. I felt very comfortable asking him questions and he had every answer. He was not pushing at all and explained the product to me and the benefits of Big Bully turf. He showed me a binder with lots of information about the product and the company. I never felt anxious about doing this and am excited to move forward to getting it done and how beautiful it's going make my back yard look. I can't wait to get it done.
