##25. Classic Pizza

A hit of a dinner! The service was great, burger cooked just the way I like it! Every bite was even more satisfying than the last. Quick and easy takeout from Big Ben pizzeria

Good spot for pizza. Veggie pizza was good but i think the food was better before when establishment first opened.

Big Ben Pizzeria opened recently in Suncook Village, inside the former space of (Bella Napoli, Clemenza's and Weir Roasting). The place was minimally modified from the previous restaurant, a casual Italian restaurant and pizzeria with hardwood floors and table seating along the walls (for up to 32 diners) and takeout counter in the back. Unlike the other nearby pizza places which serve the standard Greek style pizza, Big Ben serves up traditional and specialty NY style pizzas (most $6.39-$17.99), calzones, salads ($4.25-$9.75), appetizers, hot & cold subs, burgers, Italian dinners, chicken dinners, gyros, souvlaki, and baklava. Pepsi drinks served here. See the uploaded menu (3/18) on this listing. I stopped in here recently to pick up a pizza for dinner. The place is very new. After placing my order for a Small (10") Eggplant Pizza ($7/39 plus tax), I was also given a sample of their homemade bread with olive oil/seasonings for dipping, which was excellent! Another customer enjoyed it so much that she asked if they sell their bread, which they do. My Eggplant Pizza was hot and ready in about 15 minutes after ordering. The pizza was very tasty, which was topped with thick tomato sauce, large round breaded eggplant slices, and melted cheese. The oiled crust was crisp on the outside with thicker rolled edges crisp and soft and slightly chewy on the inside. I will make sure to return here for the pasta dinners. Big Ben is definitely what the Pembroke & Allenstown area needed, a very good pizza place with reasonable prices.  This business will need to get the word out that they are open for business since this stretch of road through Suncook has much less traffic than nearby US 3/NH 28.

Their food is amazing. They load their perfectly cooked pizza with ample toppings. We have never had anything that wasn't delicious.

One word...EXCELLENT!…read more A little off the beaten path but worth it and real easy to get to once you know where it is. Went on a Wednesday night at 4:30 and got the last open table which says a lot. Within 10 minutes of being there, a line had already formed and nobody minded waiting. The place is brand new and very upscale and modern with a nice relaxed vibe. The service was awesome and the manager stopped to say hello and give us a brief history of how the place came to be which is always cool. We started with the killer pretzel bites which came with 3 awesome dipping sauces. Do yourself a favor and save what you dont use and enjoy it with the crust from the pizza. My GF had the Braised short rib sandwich was was huge and melted in your mouth. I ordered a large Short rib and mac and cheese pizza which was as amazing as everything else. They have a seperate room on site that does nothing but make their own dough and the quality is obvious. I brought half of it home and it even re-heated well. glasses of wine for her, 2 beers for me, and our dinner came out to just under a hundred bucks. While not cheap, especially for a "pizza joint", the atmosphere and quality more than made up for any extra cost. Might be our new go-to pizza place.

The place is geared towards takeout/pickup which has a counter with open kitchen and there is no seating inside. They offer traditional & specialty hand tossed pizzas (8"-12"-16" sizes), fresh baked sandwiches, salads, cheesy garlic bread, meatballs, and fresh baked treats & cannolis. They also offer cooler drinks, Italian sodas, milkshakes, espresso drinks, and hot chocolate. The prices seem fair. I stopped by the new Zizza location in Manchester for takeout. I ordered the 12" Italian Sausage Cherry Peppers & Red Pepper Flakes ($15.50 plus tax), which I saw being quickly made, hand stretching the dough and topping with plenty of tomato sauce, sliced fresh mozzarella, ground Italian sausage and hot peppers and placed into the belt pizza oven. My pizza was all set and boxed in about 10 minutes. I enjoyed the pizza fresh out of the oven. The pizza crust was firm and chewy topped with plenty of zesty tomato sauce, melted mozzarella cheese, peppers and sausage, slightly messy. The pizza had mild spicy flavors, which was enjoyable. The pizza here is the real deal! I will definitely order from here again and get the fan favorite Zizza Mizza and the Fried Eggplant Ricotta Parmesan & Fresh Basil pizzas!

Very cool!!! The girl who took my order was super nice! And they even brought my sandwhich to where I was standing! Instead of just putting on the counter! Thank you!! One point off for the TERRIBLY OILY condition of the sandwhich. Was super tasty, but there were genuine puddles in the box and the bread was soaked. Still looking to come back though (hopefully soon!)-- maybe I'll just ask for whatever dressing on the side.

At no point did anyone come over and tell us why it was taking so long. And the multiple times I went up to the front desk, I couldn't find anyone there. When we sat down in the dining room, there was an acrylic nail on the table. all three tables were dirty. I did tell the girl at the front desk when I was able to see her that there was a nail on the table and she did not come and clean it up. She left it there . Maybe to go with the all the dead bugs in the window?? I got a semi warm meatball sub with ice cold shredded cheese on the top. Not a good combo. when I asked the cook, who took at least five minutes to come see what I wanted as I was standing there, he gave me a hard time about the cheese. Yes, I did ask for cheese. I guess I'm dumb to assume on a hot sub the cheese wouldn't be ice cold. His response was because I didn't want the roll toasted, I get the cheese the way I got it. I calmly asked for a refund and he gave me a hard time. We paid for extra cheese on a steak and cheese sub, which we didn't get. And the sweet potato fries were very very soggy. Good luck to anyone who goes there.

The woman that brought the food was very friendly, but our food smelled like she smokes in her car. So, unfortunately, we won't order from there again. My coworker's salad had slimy tomatoes & cucumbers. The meat & cheese is all processed & not very flavorful. It seemed like the "Italian dressing" was a cup of oil. I then decided to toss out the hot sub I ordered (Alfredo Delight) because it had tomatoes on it & from the state of the tomatoes on the salad, I was freaked out. Their prices are REALLY low, which also freaks me out. It seemed like a bargain & our expectations were FAR from being met. I guess you really do get what you pay for...
