I was impressed with the knowledge displayed from the Big Bear Tire Co. They sold me a great set of tires for my truck and diagnosed my issues over the phone. They have a wealth of professional tire knowledge and they will set you up with exactly what you are looking for. Thanks for your advice and suggestions. I am very happy with my new truck tires and will return for any other tire purchases. read more

Noticed I may have had a slow leak in a tire and needed to find a local place to 1) diagnose and 2) possibly fix. Looked for local places in the Oconomowoc area and called up the first place with great reviews. Spoke to Jason and though they were closing in less than a hour he told me to come on over so they could take a look. Twenty minutes later the team confirmed I had a nail (causing the leak) in my tire, along with a valve leak. The issue was fixed swiftly. They were extremely efficient, friendly, no upselling-simply got the job done so I could be on my way. I would highly recommend this business to anyone. read more

These guys deliver as promised! They know their tires and smells and have excellent customer service! Look no further, you've found your place for tires and wheels! A+++! read more

Great experience here. First time, was recommended by another auto place nearby when that one was busy. Jason was great -- we got in right away after we ran over a screw that got stuck in the tire. We highly recommend this place and will be back!! Thank you! read more

Fantastic service with unbearable pricing. I will buy all of my tires from here going forward.

This place is awesome as a tire shop, and probably one of the area's worst kept secrets since they are booking tire changes 3 weeks out, maybe more. I had to get a single tire for my all wheel drive car because I wasn't paying close enough attention to an alignment issue. Most tire shops will tell you that you have to replace all 4 on an AWD car, so all the tire diameters match- and this is true to a degree, because having a different diameter ( I should probably be typing circumference) tires on an AWD car will damage parts of the drivetrain. But, did you know that you shave the tread of a new tire down to match the wear on the other 3 tires? BIG BEAR CAN DO THIS! And then you save a small fortune since you're not replacing all 4 tires that have only 12,000 miles on them. The guys are super friendly and knowledgable, and if you want rims, they have some cool ones on display. Need tires? Go here asap. read more

We pulled into Big Bear because our low tire pressure light came on. They check our tires, found a nail in one and proceed to fix it all with less then an hour. This was all done right near their closing time! So grateful they were willing to help us not to mention safe us a ton of money compared to what we paid the last time we one fixed elsewhere. They did all of this with professionalism and a smile! Thank you Big Bear Tire!! read more

My husband and I both found out recently that we needed new tires for our cars. Talk about a kick to the pocketbook! Fortunately, Big Bear is a great place that will keep the customer (and their pocketbook) in mind. Sure, tires can be expensive. But if you choose some cheap, crappy knockoff tire from a big box or chain hardware store, what are you really going to get? At Big Bear Tire, that's all they do, and that's all they sell. There are a few places that still exist who are able to give you great service and go out of their way to help you. Big Bear is one of those places. Marty (I believe he is the owner) gave my husband and I some practical advice and helped us choose the best tires for our cars. You might even find better pricing here than at some of the chains. When the time came to order tires, we placed the order with Marty on a Saturday, and came back the following Saturday to have them put on. They were punctual, prompt and had both vehicles ready to roll within half an hour. Holy smokes! That's fast! They also offer free lifetime rotations and maintenance for the tires. The next time we have to get tires, we're definitely coming back. I can't say enough good things about our experience here. Good job, Big Bear Tires! read more

Big Bear Tire Co - Old school, that's how Big Bear Tires rolls! - Tires Near Me - Oconomowoc, Wisconsin

I had a tire leak, took it to one of the nearby major tire store chains, and they told me I had a nail in my side wall-- they also told me all my tires were "legally bald" and gave me an 800$ estimate for four new tires. I chose to limp the car back to my hometown, over to Big Bear, where I had initially bought my tires from. Despite the fact that I was 10 minutes late and even accidentally told them the wrong tire that was having issues (seriously, my bad), they STILL fixed the issue - in a few minutes - FOR FREE (Because I had bought my tires there). I couldn't be more grateful to Big Bear for their honesty, their excellent service, and their kindness. I wish I could give them 10 stars! BUY YOUR TIRES HERE(: read more

Good service, real people. Price was as good as anywhere else I could have gone. I've bought my last 2 sets of tires there. I recently had a leak in a tire. Turned out there was a screw sticking out of it. I took the car in. They patched it up for me, no charge. Good guys. Support your local businesses! read more

I've been coming to Big Bear for tires since I was stationed here by the Military in 97. Can't say enough good about Marty and his Team. Was just in on Monday with My Jeep. Better than I expected!! Give them a call! You will be glad you did!! Dave L. U.S. Army(Ret.) read more

I've been going to Big Bear tire for several years when I worked out in Lake Country. Moved my job to the Eastside of Milwaukee and decided to go to a tire center closer to me. That was a HUGE mistake. The customer service that I received a Big Bear tire, the prices and the quality is totally worth the six dollars in gas that I'm going to spend driving out there and back. Marty and everybody working there are so incredibly nice and helpful I can hardly stand it! Lesson learned in trying to save a couple of bucks. It's my time is worth more than that! Very happy to be doing service with Big Bear once again! Note: be sure to make an appointment for whatever you need, they book out because everybody knows Big Bear is the place to go! read more

I'm a bit of a tire fanatic, and I think Big Bear is the best in the business. I got great replacement tires for my Jeep Grand Cherokee from Big Bear in the spring of 2017, that car went to the West coast with my son when he graduated college. With two more kids in the pipeline, I want safe fresh tires when they take the wheel. So, when our Buick needed new tires this winter, I called Marty at Big Bear to get some ideas on best course of action given our driving habits and the potential for handing it off to our kids down the road. Marty answered all my questions; I scheduled a time for when I would be in the area and when I got there, I was in and out in under an hour. As a bonus, it's a joy watching Marty and Jon manage the front desk, handle the phones, and offer the best customer service to every customer who walks in the door. read more

Big Bear Tire knows the meaning of customer service. I was recently in the process of trying to match wheels and tires to my 1967 Mustang. Easier said than done unless you just go with stock tire / wheel sizes. But I'm picky! Big Bear Tire walked me through my options, put together a wheel and a few different tire sizes / widths for fit checks, and special ordered my staggered wheel setup for less than I would've paid on line. Most importantly, they got it right when I would have gotten it wrong if I stuck with the trendy recommendations online and other specialty shops. My car looks great, and I'm extremely happy! Marty and his team are true professionals and will work with you! It pays to stay local! read more

I cannot say enough good things about Big Bear Tire. I just wish I would have went here sooner. I had a heck of a time finding someone that would install some tires on 22 inch rims that are super low profile. I called a couple places that downright refused to put them on since they weren't the stock size for the car. I have been running these tires on the car for 5 years so it wasn't a matter of if they fit. I was just replacing them. The size and width were no trouble at all for Big Bear tire. Make an appointment to make your life easier. It's a busy spot. The people at Big Bear Tire could not have been more helpful and nice. I will take all my cars here for my tires needs from now on and I live 30 miles away. read more

This is the best tire shop ever... I received a quote from a dealership for tires $800 and needing to leave my car for at least half of the day. I've heard recommendations for Big Bear so I decided to give them a call and get an estimate. The customer service on the phone was excellent and sincere, and not having to be transferred around or put on hold was remarkable. The quote for better tires happened to be $200 cheaper AND it would be done in an hour? Upon arriving, the great customer service continued. I waited for about 30 minutes and I was told my car was done, test driven, and parked by the door for me. I can't say enough good things about this place! Also, free tire rotations for the life of the tires, which included a 70,000 mile warranty as well as any issues would also be free. Great small town shop! read more

I got my tires here through someone's recommendation and am so glad I did. Their expert advice saved me some money on my tire choice. Six months later, I called to get in because one of the tires was low. They are booked three weeks out but luckily there was a cancellation for that day. Upon inspection, they found a nail, plugged the tire and because I bought the tires from them, there wasn't a charge. Professional in all their dealings with me and totally felt safe in my car because of their expertise. read more

So I bought a used car that my shop told me snow tires, and not having a place to store them, I decided to call Big Bear to get all seasons right away before winter and "rip off the bandaid" so to speak, so I could sell the winters on Craigslist and make some money back. I bought a set from Big Bear in the past, so I gave em a call. Got on the phone with Marty, told him about my situation, gave him all the details, and he *refused* to sell me new all-seasons. Apparently the model of tires I had on my car were all-weather (a new tire rating in Canada that the shop didn't know about) and safe to use in summer, and Marty ran that exact model of tire year-round on his own vehicle. He told me to come in when they were worn out, and hung up. If that isn't customer service, I haven't the foggiest what is. Note: Big Bear is stupid popular in the area, and on the last set of tires I bought I had to wait about 10 days to get in. Scheduling in advance is your best bet, and it's totally worth the wait. I've bought tires from 5+ different places across two states over my last 15 years of driving (including other local shops I would gladly recommend to others and would go to again), but Big Bear is par excellance. read more

I just had a great experience at Big Bear Tire Co. I did some research to decide which tires I wanted and called around. Big Bear had by far the best price. When I dropped the car off this morning I also asked if they could check out the brakes, as the dealership suggested I need some front brake work. An hour later the car was ready and I was told that the brakes were actually fine. Jon M. told me to come back every 7500 miles to have the tires rotated (included in price) and they'd continue to monitor the brake condition. I felt respected by Big Bear Tire Co. and will continue to buy tires there. read more

Great customer service, great quality work. The only place to take your lowered vehicle.

Heard great things about this place when I was working in Oconomowoc. All my coworkers mentioned them. One day on the drive home I got a flat, and they were able to squeeze me in while it was busy to get it patched, and me home and I was never a customer yet. I ended up needing new tires. Did some research to know a bit before I went in. They suggested the tires I was thinking of getting that were slightly cheaper than the top of the line. Great experience. read more

Awesome, helpful customer service and fair prices. I've gotten tires here a couple of times and highly recommend others do too.

I have used Big Bear a couple of times and they always do a great job. I recently bought a new car that came with aggressive summer tires and was useless in the snow. The dealer wanted to sell me a wheel and snow tire package for big dollars. Marty and Jon recommended snow tires that would fit the existing wheels for a third of the price. The new snow tires work great. read more

I have been buying tires from Marty at Big Bear for years and they are simply the best. I have bought tires for multiple cars and had lowering springs installed on one, with flawless results every time. Marty is a very knowledgable car guy and also a super nice guy! One of my wife's tpms valve stems was causing a slow leak and they fixed it free because we bought the tires there. Great great customer service and really good prices! Most reasonable prices with greatest attention to detail I have found, among local(ish) tire and alignment shops.

Big Bear installed 4 new, 70K mile tires on my truck 2 years ago. After 39K miles, 1 of 4 tires was almost bald, the other 3 in good shape. I requested consideration - Big Bear came up with excuses. Tire warranty - throw it away at Big Bear. It won't do you any good. I will NEVER go back --- read more

I took my car in to see if my low tire needed to be patched or replaced all together. They told me they were booked up for about a week. So I thought I would have to come back later. The nice man behind the counter came out to the parking lot to take a quick look. He graciously said 'oh that's no problem. Have a seat, we'll have it fixed on 15 minutes.' I couldn't have asked for more attentive or better customer service. Such a great place to take your car! I highly recommend anyone take their car here. They'll take good care of you! read more

I have bought tires here for my last several vehicles and the service is amazing. I purchased my latest set of tires early 2015. Recently I discovered I had a slow leak in one of my tires. I work in Brookfield, so I decided to take it to a local tire shop to get it fixed. The tire shop called after assessing the damage and said it was beyond repair and a new tire needed to be purchased, at an inflated cost of $300. I immediately called Big Bear for a second opinion, which I strongly value. They explained the philosophy of the chain tire shops and their lack of motivation to fix the damage and just try to sell you a new tire. I threw the spare on and headed to Oconomowoc. I had planned on dropping the tire off and picking it up the next day. Instead the enthusiastic technician (Brady) plugged the hole, had my spare switched out and on my way in a matter of moments. Their service is beyond impeccable. I recommend Big Bear to everyone. Thanks again! read more

on 06/28/18 i went to these clowns to get new tires on my 2002 z06 corvette. i specifically told jon the reason for new tires was age and not lack of tread. these idiots put tires produced in 2012 on my car. marty the owner wanted me to leave with these "new tires" on my corvette after i paid him a little over $1500. he said they would "make it right" in the next few days after they talked to their goodyear distributor and got tires in that were produced in the last couple years at least. not happening. i had my tires put back on my car and left. i get a call from jon on friday 06-29-19 saying they can't get me tires as they are no longer made. wrong AGAIN! after calling goodyear corporate i get a call back and boom i'm getting new tires on my car at a dealership near my house. i drove 1.5 hours to come to these idiots, never again. i wouldn't have them replace a bicycle tire for me. oh and by the way jon and fat boy marty the tires are still being made with more production starting august of 2018......... read more
