From approx…read more 2004-2011 I was quite active there shooting several times a week rifle and pistol with local friends and Air Force personnel at there range on base. There was some paperwork involved and a mandatory safety course that had to be taken, as well as passing some basic qualifications. There was usually a qualified instructor there who was always ready to help you out with any questions. I was shooting a variety of handgun calibers, .38/.357, .45 auto, 9mm, .223/5.56 and a number of rifle calibers also from T/C Contender Pistols. They were basically everything from .22 RF up to and including 45/70 from a 14" barrel with a muzzlebreak silver soldered on in order to use a folding rifle stock there. I cannot remember any caliber of firearm being off-limits there. We only ever used the outdoor range where we had Gongs and Steel Silloute Targets set up as well as assorted yardage for paper targets. Many of us reloaded so if we weren't shooting we were likely home reloading. Most of us were retired or disabled veterans. I always found it a comfortable place to shoot and great company to enjoy our time with there. There was a old round quanset hut building with A/C where you could get a Pepsi or cold drink or a cup of coffee and a snack. I got away from practicing for a few years and decided it was time to get back into it. I discovered these fine folks on Yelp, and I'm delighted I did. Arriving- They are in Sebring on Route 98 about 1.5 miles from US Route 27. They are a snap to find. There is a small parking lot but it's a small range so it's really not a problem. History- The range itself has been around for multiple decades. It's family-owned and the current folks have had it since 2016. Ambience- If you have never been to a gun range there are usually two basic areas. This range follows the pattern. There is the range itself where the shooting takes place and then there is the store. Here you can buy/sell/rent guns, purchase ammo and accessories etc. The two rooms get the job done in fine fashion. Customer Service- On this visit I worked with Crystal who is the owner. She is knowledgeable and pleasant with a no-nonsense attitude which is exactly the way it should be around firearms! Range- Eight, 25-yard lanes. Clean and well maintained. The Range Fee is $15 per person with no time limit. Nice! A wide range of guns are available to rent for a nominal fee. This business gives you a safe, inexpensive place to shoot and as a bonus you get to deal with nice folks! Sounds like a winner to me!

All of them made conversation from talking about other PCCs to even discussing our carry's and cerakoting. The system was moving a bit slow because this happened to be the day that AWS crashed, but they still managed to get everything cleared and processed and let me know that if anything happened with the card charge to let them know and they'd rectify it asap (nothing did happen). I think that their prices were fair and maybe even better than other "big box" shops from everything else I saw on display. This will likely be my regular LGS moving forward.

I attended and took a class here with One Shot Defense and it was such a great place to host a class. It was held in one of the private bays and it felt like I wasn't even in Florida. Check in there then they'll give you a map which leads you to the tactical obstacle course. I can't recommend more highly - I'm a newish shooter, about three years seriously (longtime before but not competitive) but I've only shot indoors stationary or out in the Califorinia desert bringing your own targets. The set up is similar to a USPSA, IDPA or a Steel Challenge type course. Nothing is on a timer unless you want to practice speed and that's fine too. Soooooo exciting!!!! Moving behind cover hitting steel, paper and "no hit" targets - or "hostages". Family friendly, this is not an intimidating experience at all. The best part for me was the amount of personal attention from the Range Officers, George and Sydney. They both gave me so many pointers I've never known about despite hours of YouTube watching! They teach safety procedures for a range like the this - totally more secure than a typical range, you'll see. Safety zone, Ammo loading area, etc. You will need a holster which can be concealed, or if you have a belt rig set up that works OWB, check out Blue Alpha Belts, a veteran owned company and made in the USA. If you don't have a holster check out Safariland online for basic Kydex set ups that are very affordable. If you've never drawn and fired from a holster holy moly it's a real trip!!! Multiple stands empty of clays, spent shells on a good portion of the stands, staff; well instead of congregating they could have been maintaining the equipment. Golf carts not maintained and dirty with leaves and empty water bottles. Check in staff member misrepresented the courses in actual relation to shooting style. Kinda lack luster in appearance as well. There are better options and not far away either!
