Egg & Carnita taco and egg & beef taco with salsa and cheese
    Kim P.

I've never had such wet tacos before. I tilted the box on my lap so that the water collected in a corner and then used a napkin to mop them up. Service was quick. Two tacos were about $8. The meat was indistinguishable from each other flavor wise, but both were well cooked. The salsa was uninspired. All in all they got the job done. The store front is grab and go. You'll have to find a seat at a gate to eat at. I recommend grabbing a fork to get all the food that falls out of your tacos!

Ehhh talk about some disappointing airport food. I stopped by for a pre-flight dinner before 7pm. I thought I'd give this place a try since "tacos" sounded like a good idea. Well their tacos are quite lacking, more like a mushy mess with few topping options that night. They were out of cilantro, among other things. Supply chain issues seems to be a trend at more than one Midway eatery right now since another place I tried to go to before resorting to this place closed early because they ran out of food. The servers working that night were friendly but didn't really seem to be paying attention to what I was saying- two people managed to mess up my order. I ordered 4 tacos- 2 pork and 2 carnitas, and somehow ended up with 4 pork. However, my receipt read 2 pork and 2 chicken. One lady started making my tacos and half way through making them, she handed the job over to another lady who worked the cash register- not sure why the change of hands. Neither of them realized that my order was wrong despite me telling both of them what I wanted. If they couldn't hear me properly behind the mask, they could've just asked me to repeat my order. It wasn't particularly busy here so it wasn't like they were in a rush. Once I opened my box and realized I had received 4 pork tacos, I decided to just go with it. Maybe the pork would be great, I thought. The pork tasted very bland. The only thing going for it was that it was quite juicy. Unfortunately, the soft taco shell was completely mushy and impossible to eat from the juices soaking the flour. Everything fell apart when I tried to pick it up. Moreover, I found a huge shard of bone in one of my pork tacos- downright dangerous. Thank goodness I was eating slowly otherwise it would've been very painful chomping down on that thing. For over $17 for the entire order, it was totally not worth it. I will not be returning next time I'm at Midway.

[ Poke Crush Wrap ] Ahi Tuna, Flour Shell, White Rice, Ginger, Fried Corn Tortilla Shell, SesameSeeds, WasabiSauce, SamuraiSauce
    Sharon M.

[ Tuna crunch wrap ] good and bigger than I expected. $13 bucks seems a bit much for it but whatever - it's airport pricing. The other options near my gate offered up chicken or pizza. Anyway, it's composed of a flour burrito shell, white rice, romaine, hard shell corn tortilla (crunch), fresh ahi tuna, ginger, special sauce (chili aioli), samurai sauce (soy base sauce). [ Ahi Tuna Poke Taco ] smallish - think of it as 3/4s the size of a regular taco but it was loaded up with a generous amount of tuna that it actually overflowed out of the shell. It's served on a hard shell tortilla with a mix of ginger, chili paste, sesame seed oil, chili aioli, samurai sauce (soy base sweet sauce) and topped with sesame seeds.

Top: carnitas taco. Bottom: ahi poke taco. Both were delicious. Ahi is extra charge but they packed it full of meat!

Pretty good for airport food. Electronic menu highlights each menu item and shows a picture. Useful! Service was quick. She was not stingy w the meat or sauce. Ahi tuna was jam packed in the crunchy taco shell. It was worth the $2.79 extra charge. Lots of taco options. Cooler w beverages including water. Overpriced, but it's the airport. Packed up to go for every customer. No seating. So grab, go, and sit at your gate to eat.

Passing through Chicago Midway again and I knew what I wanted. We were arriving in gate B-11, so I knew Big & Little's was right across the way. So, what what was it going to be this time? One Big & Little (Fried Fish), one Hawaiian Pork, & one Shrimp taco. Three (3) tacos for $10.99. Not bad for an airport meal, right? I opted for the Big & Little's sauce on 2 and tartar sauce on the fish. Again, everything was fresh and tasty. The establishment is clean. The service is nice and fast. No line. And, again, I think the name is really the problem. I told 2-3 people I was going to Big & Little's and they were like, "What?" This place has great food, but, seriously, the name does not lead one here. I'm not saying change the name totally, but maybe add something to let people know. I showed up and there was NO line, when there should be one. The food is good and all three (3) of my tacos were great. Yummy. Again, I will be back and keep passing the name along. My travel partner opted to go to another restaurant to get a burrito because he knew nothing of Big & Littles. People who travel don't know the local eats. I had a nice lunch. :)

Big and Little's Breakfast Not a usual breakfast selection, and a very egg based selection (everything was egg except the hash brown mash). Clean and quick. Tater tot mash was excellent. For an airport breakfast I was pleasantly impressed.

3 tacos - ahi, al pastor and grilled fish

Chicago-Midway (MDW) is in the process of upgrading their dining options. This taco stand is on Concourse B. No seating, so you have to do takeaway. No Coke, Pepsi - thank goodness they have beer! I had the trio of tacos: Grilled fish - simple grilled cod. Not a lot of flavor, but no fishy taste tasted fresh, but a little tough. Probably wouldn't do this one again. Served on soft corn tortillas Al pastor - very tender pulled pork with pickled red onion and jalapeño. I skipped the jalapeños and added cilantro. Very tender pork with a little kick. Delicious. Served on soft corn tortillas Ahi tuna - served in a crunchy tortilla, so tastes similar to tuna poke on wontons. It has a bit of a kick, but I think that was in the samurai sauce - sweet and spicy. Would get tuna and pork again, and try a different third. Service was pleasant, but not exuberant! It is in the airport atte

Basic street tacos. You get a nice size portion of meat, but very overpriced even for airport prices. 2 small tacos for $15.

Really awesome space at a crowded downtown location. Foods were served on nice metal holders or disposable/environmentally friendly containers and utensils. The tacos were huge, and I love that they focus on the variety of vegetables on the taco, which is often overlooked at other places. Veggies also make the taco look beautiful. I particularly enjoyed the tikka paneer, the paneer was soft for paneer but firmer than tofu, a really great texture. And the flavor wasn't overpowering. The tikka sauce was light, which I am totally fine with. The chicken quesadilla was also made well and of good value, the kids all really liked it. The salmon was good too but didn't really stand out as much, but appreciate the variety veggies on top! The mexi-Cali shrimp bowl was not bad either, but also didn't stand out much. The shrimp was good but I prefer it cooked even lighter if possible. Flavor was good tho. The rice was long grain, which I prefer, but they do give quite a lot, I ended up having quite a lot leftover. I wish the had a bit more cilantro or other herby mix to increase the depth of flavor, but overall still pretty good. Queso was also really good, thick and creamy, not too salty, but sadly the kids didn't like it as much. Husband also liked the gochujang pork a lot, said it was actually really really good. Overall, we really enjoyed everything we had there. Love that they also had paper towels everywhere. My preferred method of keeping clean haha. Will definitely come back.
