I wasn't a big fan of the chicken, it didn't seem like it was cooked all the way. The fried pickles were very enjoyable. The service was okay, I'm not sure if I would come in here again. Maybe if I try something different.

We were in the area, and I've been wanting to try Bierkeller since the last time we were here and stopped at somewhere else. There are so few German restaurants (although they have other options). It's a cute place with long tables that can be for bigger groups or communal dining. The servers were great and checked in on us regularly, and helped us figure out the different options and specials. The spaetzle bowls are pretty big and you can either share or bring some home. The schnitzel was good, but not big enough to share. The paprikash bowl was also tasty. The German potato salad was a real standout, give it a try. Prices were reasonable.

We were in Allen Park for the Made in Michigan fair. We decided we wanted to go somewhere different (i.e.; not the same cuisine we usually have) and Bierkeller came up, so we decided to try it. When we walked in, we were the only ones there, but it was at an odd time -- about 4:15 on a Friday afternoon, so we felt a little self-conscious. But, we were greeted warmly and after a few minutes, other people started showing up They had so many unusual and yummy looking choices on the menu that it was really hard to decide. But, decide we did. I got the Bierkeller bowl, and my sister got the chicken paprikash bowl. Both servings were huge and were served with garlic bread. Both were also delicious! The service was really good as well. Our server brought us refills on our iced tea (yeah, we don't really drink, but they had LOTS of beer and other spirits for those who do) without us asking, and when she noticed that we were finished, she brought us boxes for our leftovers. This is in no way a convenient location from where we live, but with the variety of fare that they offer and the reasonable prices, I can see myself deciding that it's worthy of a trip just on its own merits.

Great food and drink options. The bratwurst chili was superb. Had the steak bites and spätzle was exceptional. This is a place that I will return to when back in the area.

I love German food the only thing I would change would maybe having another piece of chicken cutlet

Good German bar food and beer in a comfortable setting. There are three seating areas and each is comfortable. The beer offerings are well curated. The cocktails tend to be very sweet. The menu options have some interesting options. The Bacon Wrapped Kielbasa was particularly good. The service is adequate.

Food was delicious, especially the Brussels sprouts and I don't even like Brussels sprouts, but I do now! service was amazing, they made us feel like family, the bar had a nice comfortable feel. I definitely be back.

Let me start by saying, we usually love coming here! We decided to come for lunch today and I was not impressed with the food or service. I do not expect a lot from the service ever, we really have not had a great server when we're here. Typically we are asking for refills and they keep walking by and not asking if we need anything. So if you want to order, know what you want when you put your drink in. I will end on this...we come only for the food. On to the food, my chicken tenders were dry even with the aioli drizzle. The fries were good like normal. But if I am paying $13 for a chicken sandwich I expect it to have great flavor and juicy. Today it lacked both unfortunately. All in we spent about $50 for two meals and two diet cokes. I don't think we will be back for a while.

This place is great. Amazing authentic German style American options as well as a variety of other options they are non German as well. The food is hot, came out quick and well prepared. The service (being that there was only one server) was as good as it could be. They do a celebratory drink every night at (I believe 7) authentic to the traditions they have. The only rewind is that everyone listen for a quick moment while they do the celebratory toast (in which many talk over and we're rude) Prices were spot on for the extra large portions. Everything was overall pretty good Outside seating, inside has clean floors that don't get your sticky feet thing going on. Overall good. I would come back.

Some of the best bar food I have had! The burgers were so juicy and flavorful. I got the Guten Morgan and the toppings smothered the patties in the best way possible. I upgraded to onion rings and they did not disappoint. My husband got the fire haven burger. It had a nice kick, but not overwhelming. He upgraded to Nashville hot fries. They weren't that spicy, but he'd order them again. We were very pleased with everything! The service was prompt and the patio doors were open so it had a nice breeze coming through. We will absolutely come back!

This is mine and my wife's first time here. Upon walking in and seeing the Drinky Drink on the menu, we knew this place was owned by the owners of Bierhaven & Big Al's. So, we knew we'd get hood eats and drinks. And asking our server if it was possible? She said it's the first place he's owned before the other two. So, wanted to try something different and we did. We weren't disappointed at all. This is the smallest of all three establishments but, just as well a good place to dine. We'll be back.

And IMO, the burger was the best diner burger I've had anywhere in Metro Detroit - perfectly toasted bun, great sear on a well-seasoned, perfectly cooked medium temperature half-pound pattied burger wirh caramelized onions, sautéed mushrooms, melted Swiss cheese, and a garlic spread. The burger was executed very well and had some great fries which were lightly battered and very crispy. Excellent service and very clean. Overall, an excellent experience. I will definitely be adding this establishment to my rotation.

For example, I get the "Hearty" breakfast most of the time and it comes with eggs, meat, pancakes, potatoes and toast, and it really highlights what is this place's strength. Eggs: I get mine scrambled and have a nice selection of hot sauce to choose from. Meat: I appreciate that they offer turkey sausage since I don't eat beef or pork, but my wife loves their bacon if that's your thing. Pancakes: quality varies the most here as they are sometimes a little pale (but still good) but more often the idyllic golden one expects when ordering. Potatoes: lots of variety here, too, as my home fries come in different sized cuts with seasoning ranging from none to "no need for salt or pepper?" Toast: Again, wide variety of choices, I go with sourdough most often If this sounds like a lot of food, there are lots of other options that make it appealing to smaller appetites. But what I like about the "Hearty" is all the choices and the variation in style (probably depends on who's staffing the griddle) allows me to order the same meal and still feel like I'm getting some variety. Having said that, keep an eye out for the specials. They sometimes are tempting enough to get me to stray from usual. In addition to good food, the service is always friendly, and we've been back enough times to where I think every server recognizes us. Like I said, it's a favorite.
