I trusted these folks with my dearly beloved pets and they never, ever let me down. I always felt that I got the best treatment available, and that they didn't just treat the pet, they treated the owner as well. They provided me consistently with good advice, sound medical treatment, and compassionate understanding. The only reason I don't deal with them anymore is that I have moved, and losing them has been a great loss for both me and my pets. I drive two hours to take my dog to them because I trust them. I went to another clinic in the city and that vet had recommended unnecessary surgery to remove a fat lump off my dog that was right by her tail. My vet said if we went through with the surgery the site would have a hard time healing because of the location and it wasn't necessary as it wasn't causing her pain. And come to find out they also had the wrong medical chart up it wasn't even my dog good thing I did ask questions or she could've been treated for something that didn't even pertain to her. They should be on top of that , you would think that's important. They are not compassionate and they really don't care so why take your animals there I will not be. And the medication that they gave my dog cost $300 and it didn't clear up her infection, not even one little bit. The old staff was so much better it's a sin they are gone now. Especially the front staff was the rudest she tried to misconstrue everything that I try to say and when I ask questions she didn't want to answer them obviously you're not supposed ask questions I guess. Also I want to mention that when I first went into the clinic last week the vet was telling me that My dog had been in here for her teeth before not once has my dog been in there for teeth so I'm wondering when and I'm asking questions and come to find out she had the wrong dogs files. who's dog I don't know but none that didn't belong to me. Wrong charts for the wrong dog could've went severely wrong I am glad I stepped up and started asking questions. You would think they'd be on top of this.

It was Giulia Salvati that saw my furkid that day, not much about her cough but there was medication to help ease issues with her trachea, namely Isopro/Ephed/Theoph/K-loide Elixir. 1.5 mL by mouth every 8 hrs I was told it was costly per month so I told Giulia I would like to try it for a month and if it helped my furkid I would consider continuing with this medication. I understood that the cost for this medication was $133 per month, I only got enough for 17 days. When I called Elgin Vet I was told that it was only for 17 days. That was not my understanding of the conversation with Giulia. I would not have bought the medication if I had known it was only for 17 days, ($266/ month??) then to top it off I was given 2 syringes that were One Use Only.
