I contacted Steve and right away he put my mind at ease, which is not a small feat. He explained the different options, conventional, FHA, borrower PMI, Lender PMI, etc. and put no pressure on me what so ever. He also was extremely efficient and knowledgeable with regards to estimated closing costs and quick with advice on how to save money on things like title insurance and homeowners insurance. As luck would have it we fell in love with a home at the end of December and Steve and his team sprung into action. They moved so quick and had everything set up perfectly. He found us an amazing rate the next day and had an offer letter ready the next day as well. Long story short we closed on the house 25 days later, seriously, 25 days later and this is with the new year and MLK day in between. I had expected it to take double that time but Steve absolutely came through for us. And his estimated closing and cash to close numbers were spot on and less than the realtor estimated. Steve is an awesome lender. My only complaint is that he couldn't be our realtor as well because with someone like Steve on your side there is almost no need for one. If you are reading this then do not hesitate to contact Steve, especially if you are like me and have a million questions and feel the need to text and call randomly as thoughts come to you... sorry Steve. But really, this is who you want to use for your next loan. Thanks Steve!

I highly recommend their services for the following reasons: - Affordable. They really do work to provide the lowest cost loan possible, and their brokerage rates are very reasonable. I have investigated a number of different brokerage firms, & MM is very competitive. - Rates. I saw this when we were applying for loans for business purposes. After calling a number of lenders to get their rates, Tom's team provided the best solution for us as new business owners. - Personable & Honest. The're a small firm, and as a result you get immediate & detailed information, responses to your questions, etc. If something is going awry in your loan application process, you don't want to be shuffling between different departments, getting half answers, & trying to navigate an unfamiliar world. Tom & his team are extremely thorough in explaining each step of the process. They have often sat down with me to calculate mortgage rate changes, etc. For one particular product, Tom even advised me to look elsewhere for other offerings since he feared he might now have the best rate. Ultimately, I did end up using MM for this situation, but i think it speaks to their ethic & authenticity.

I worked primarily with Dan, and Tom filled in a couple of times while Dan was on vacation. This was the second time I'd bought a home - last time, 10 years ago, was right before the market crash, and that whole process left me turned inside out. The entire thing was stressful, scary, and just never felt right in my gut. So every step of the way this second time around, I was stressed, scared, and nervous, but Dan and Tom were extremely patient with me and very helpful. I had a million questions for them, and they were responsive and respectful, they never talked down to me, and I never once felt like they were salesmen trying to get one over on me. They took care to explain everything to me to make sure I understood it. They were never annoyed at having to explain something to me more than once. They were forthcoming with all kinds of information and their estimates for fees and closing costs were pretty much right on the money. This was most certainly NOT the 'predatory lending' experience I'd had 10 years ago! Dan was especially helpful in a few situations - there were a couple times where I'd hit a roadblock in something he needed from me, and he stepped in and took over the task to complete it. I think he also sensed my stress a few times and flat-out told me - "Do NOT stress about this - it will be taken care of!" That kind of reassurance means a lot to someone like me in this process. The experience I had buying a home with these guys was easy and I would not hesitate to work with them again (except I've just bought my forever home, so no more mortgages for me)! If you're looking for a mortgage company, please call these guys. You will not be disappointed.

As was the case when I was on the market as a buyer, Rachel is easy to work with and very knowledgeable about the market and the neighborhood. I really appreciated that she was transparent about the how/why of her pricing recommendations and listing strategy (taking the time to talk through every detail if that's what I needed) and I trusted her completely. A few other 'perks' that I didn't realize to look for in a realtor but were invaluable in my house selling experience: - Rachel has been doing this a long time, and has incredible insight on what types of updates to consider/prioritize that will increase the value and interest in the house (which was very helpful for me because my house needed some major refreshing, but with a very tight budget) - she has a list of recommended trades persons for any work you need to hire for (and will even recommend different shades of white paint for that fresh coat that you may want to apply before listing!) - she is SO responsive! No waiting around for a reply when you have a question/concern/need... she gets back so quickly and manages to thoroughly address the question/concern/need in the simplest way. - she is approachable and easy to work with, and also really savvy and strategic on getting the best possible outcome for her client I loved working with Rachel, and highly recommend her and the Philly Home Girls team for your real estate needs! If you're looking to buy or sell Real Estate, I would highly recommend that you consider Remax Home…read moreExperts. In full disclosure, I have known John Benson (RHE's owner & broker) for over 20 years, and ultimately chose him based on our friendship rather than a referral or advertisement. That aside, from a business and professional perspective, it turned out to be the wisest decision we could have possibly made. Based on his performance and the performance of all of the businesses/resources in his reach, I am absolutely confident he and Remax Home Experts extends the same dedication and service to all potential clientele. Our situation was extremely difficult to begin with. We were in the waning months of recovering from a disastrous move to the Northern Mariana Islands. Because of the way mortgage entities operate, our forward financial projections (which were very promising) meant nothing, and we were stuck with the shaky positions of our past financial history during the qualification process. Further, while we had the means to pay for a mortgage on a monthly basis, we had very little in savings and virtually no leverage to bargain with should a tight negotiation ensue. All-in-all, we were very difficult clients from the start. Further, the time we chose to look for a house was most likely the most difficult era for homebuyers since the 1970's. While the guise of a 'buyer's market' emanated through the media filter, the plain fact was that the terrible decisions of the financial industry and the repercussions of the collapse of so many financial institutions made it nearly impossible to secure a mortgage, especially given our personal financial situation. Mr. Benson took all of this into account from the start and used a very diligent, realistic approach to help us buy a home. Sadly, he didn't know what he was in for with us. Over the course of almost a year, we looked at over a hundred properties and made several offers. Because of the difficulties with obtaining a mortgage (banks absolutely did not want to lend money to anyone at that time,) and a litany of other problems, such as, inspection failures, inept foreclosure processes, inabilities to obtain Occupancy Certs, etc... (you name it and it happened,) each and every offer fell apart. In this time, I realized just how awful many Realtors and Real Estate Brokers can be at their profession. Many, many times, our intent to buy a home from a Realtor was squashed not by the seller or the financial process; but by the laziness, half-hearted approach, or simply complete incompetence of the Realtor, him/herself. My wife and I were astonished on several occasions by the tepid and duplicitous practices of many of these folks, and often, we found ourselves wondering how it was that these folks made any income whatsoever selling Real Estate. Trust me, our experience with 90 percent of these other Realtors was worse than my limited vocabulary can muster in this review. Luckily, we were absolutely blessed with having Mr. Benson & Remax Home Experts representing us. This was an extremely difficult process all-the-way around. John & his staff explained the potential difficulty from day one, and, rather than walking away from the start, stuck with us until the grueling process was at last completed. On several occasions, Mr. Benson actually prevented us from giving it up altogether. Even in the darkest days of our frustration, he never lost his resilience and dedication to the job at hand; all the while maintaining a realistic and honest approach to the situation and the range of homes we should be considering. There was never a gimmick, nor a false-promise given. Everything came from a sound, wise and competent perspective. Things we want are difficult to get. Mr. Benson clearly understands that and made an astounding effort to help us reach the ultimate goal. My wife and I now live in a lovely home in Quakertown thanks to Remax Home Experts and specifically, thanks to John's great strength and dedication to his profession. I'm not big on saying I couldn't do something without someone; but in this case, My wife and I absolutely could not have done this without Remax Home Experts. If you're in need of a Realtor, take my advice; give Remax Home Experts a call. PS: They Recently moved to a new address. I believe it's: 530 S. 2nd Street Suite 109 Philadelphia, PA 19147 ::::

She and Courtney are also so organized and helped us stay on track and on task for the whole laundry list of things that happen when you buy a house. They gave us a beautifully organized binder at settlement with all the docs we will ever need along with notes about what to do when (e.g., if you don't get a mortgage bill by this date, follow up, etc).
