Already, I have been introduced to several of her doctors, of whom, I've never been a fan of - here in Crossville, it is warned to stay far away from the medical community(as they don't know what their doing). I was pleasantly surprised at the attention grams received. Not only did they know her name, they remembered her many stories and asked follow up questions regarding them. They knew, without looking into her cooler of meds, what she was on and how they would react to a new med. They took the time to listen to her go on about me - she always makes my life seem so much better than I view it and so I listen too :) - and have the most gentle of ways to bringing the conversations back to her medical care. Kudos to Dr. Johnson and his staff for actually being present and listening to your patient... I am no doubt a fan!

At first he seemed knowledgeable and understanding…read more Then I got Covid and was told basically they couldn't help me with the shortness of breathe I was beginning to have because they wouldn't see me in the office. I was left to deal with it on my own by going to the er or another walk in clinic. That should have been my first red flag. I continued to see him for different things that would come up, I had 3 different occasions where he called in a perception for me for medications I was ALLERGIC to. One time ended up taking at least one dose of it because I trusted my dr to be competent. Thankfully it only gave me very mild symptoms. I was just told today that they wouldn't see me as a patient anymore or prescribe the anxiety medication he recommended me try because of a $46 balance. However, I hadn't been billed for that amount. Also, the reason I owed that amount was because I went to his office for some UTI symptoms and paid for that appointment the day I was seen (which is usually what happens, you pay when you come in for the visit). He then told me to come back the following week for a yearly check up. His nurse Sandy left the room to confirm that my insurance covered that yearly check up, when she returned she told me it did so we scheduled the next appointment. I then went in the next week not required to pay anything when I went in like I usually had to do. Then about 3 weeks later I get a bill in the mail for the office visit and the blood work! This place really only cares about the money they can get from people. To be honest, I'm not sure why I stayed with them as long as I did since clearly medical incompetency could have been very bad for me with being prescribed medication I was allergic to. Medication that was clearly stated on EVERY form I had to fill out. I could have written one time off as a mistake but to have it happen 3 different times... that unacceptable! My suggestion find someone different! If you need a walk-in clinic go somewhere else, honestly anywhere else would be better than paying for help from someone who doesn't even read a chart before prescribing meds.

They can always get us in quickly and will even work us in if their schedule is full and the symptoms are concerning. My 4 yr old runs and gives her a hug every time she sees her. Just the other day 4 yr old needed a steroid and they had a drinkable steroid instead of a shot. The nurse made her and my daughter 'lemonade' and got her to drink all of it. It was fantastic. She's always been awful about taking medicine. As for my 3 month old I knew she wasn't feeling good and Marta ran every test to figure it out and make me feel better. A month ago she had an awful UTI that caused her to be in the hospital a few days so I've been extra paranoid when she doesn't feel good. Marta knew that and did everything she could to give me reassurance. She wasn't even on call this weekend but she still called me with the lab results. The girls at the front are awesome. They are very sweet. Molly always waves at us. My 4 yr old always asks for stickers and they will dig out the specific princess she wants. I've been having issues with our insurance and the front desk girls gave me information to fight the insurance. The nurses are great too. They have awesome bedside manners and always make it fun especially for my 4 yr old. My 4 yr old needed to go to the bathroom and the nurse didn't hesitate to offer to hold my 3 month old so I could help her. All of this to say, I feel like they always go above and beyond for my family and I'm forever grateful for all of them. Just a side note they are a vaccine mandatory practice. It is a non negotiable so if you are wanting not to vaccinate or delay just don't leave a nasty review. They are very up front about this. It's their choice to have that policy just as much as it's your choice not to vaccinate so find a practice that aligns with your values and don't bash them for their policy.

I do know that the Doctors don't make all the decision as to how the office is run. Medicare, etc. has a lot of say in what type of treatment you will receive when you go to any Medical facility. We have never waited more than 30 minutes to get in to see the Dr. and same in the exam room. We will keep our Doctor there and be happy that we can go to a local facility to be treated.
