Just stellar from start to finish - and all of them are an absolute delight to work with and have around... friendly, honest, responsive, and kind. They lead with integrity, pay meticulous attention to every detail, and went above and beyond on every level.. including taking ample time to make sure that everything was cleaned up perfectly at the finish of the project. It was a massive job and had to be done in blazing heat.. but despite the summer weather, they all brought positive energy and enthusiasm to every moment of the job. We are incredibly grateful to Dave Hughes, his arborists, and his entire amazing crew for the transformation. Felt like a little kid on Christmas morning when it was all done - just overjoyed with the outcome! Highly, highly recommend Dave's Tree Service to anyone in need of this work! The best.

If I could give more than five stars, I would--because Dave's Tree Service didn't just remove my…read moretrees, they performed a full-blown front yard exorcism. I had sixteen very tall, very ugly locust trees standing in my front yard like a lineup of leafy trolls, blocking the light and branches falling on my house every time the wind blows. I called Dave, hoping for a consultation sometime in the next week. He showed up within half an hour. I hadn't even finished my coffee. A few mornings later, I woke up to what can only be described as an elite squad of tree ninjas pulling up with cranes, chippers, trucks, and the kind of quiet confidence that says "We've got this." Every single person on Dave's team was professional, respectful, and weirdly cheerful for people about to take down a small forest. Some went up in cranes like it was nothing, snipping off those hideous branches with precision. Others fed whole trees into the chipper like it was lunchtime. They ground down the stumps, hauled off truckloads of sawdust, and one young man stayed behind to sweep up the driveway and the street like it was opening night on Broadway. And here's the kicker: not a single flower or plant in my yard was touched. It was like the trees vanished in a puff of sawdust-scented magic. All in one day. Also: Dave himself? Charming. Honest. Knowledgeable. Probably part tree (but, like, in a hot dryad kind of way). You can tell he truly loves what he does, and it absolutely shows in the work. If you live in or near Rhinebeck and you've got tree troubles, don't hesitate. Don't Google. Just call Dave. Your trees will thank you. Your neighbors will thank you. Your insurance company will probably name their next child after you.

The service I was requesting was an estimate for work on my property, requiring the removal of large, medium, and smaller trees, and also limning up some additional large trees. He was thorough in his discussion and a good listener. I was very impressed with him. The price he quoted was fair, and I did feel confident that he could do the work efficiently, professionally, and within the time allocated to us. I'm not reviewing the actual work because I have had to get three bids for this particular project and have not started to work yet. I will check back in once I complete the service.

What a mess it makes, but their final cleanup has always left our yard markedly neater than it was when their trucks arrived that morning. Consider it a given. Consider also the peace of mind we're given by have a written estimate, citing each tree's contribution to the total cost, specifying the implements required, chipping and haul-off costs and risk factors, if any. I've had "estimates" shown me as no more than a jocular "We'll get 'er done!" Limber Tree's is at the opposite end of the trust spectrum...and if they end up spending less time/mileage/equipment than first envisioned, we've seen those savings siphoned right back into our pockets. The job quality couldn't be better or more safely performed. We don't opt for stump removal, but what remains is each left as a clean, level face, cut as low to the ground as possible. They could serve as firm bases for whatever one does to decorate stumps, or even as picnic tables―but only if you're very short.
