SCSD has it's ups and downs just like any other school district. The arts program at SCSD is…read moreamazing. I've never seen a better funded, better developed music and fine art program anywhere. Now, on the other hand, I have had two brothers go through the Special Education program and have watched time and time again as the program failed my brothers. The school district misdiagnosed my little brother saying that he had ADD and so prescribed him adderall when, in reality he was dyslexic. Anyway, I think they need to develop their Special Ed programs. The school district is in need of good Special Ed teachers who bring the education to the students in a non-traditional way. I loved Robbins Lane, loved HBT and loved SHS. I thank God for the experiences I had at these schools. They made me the person I am today.

SCSD is a blue ribbon district! Wonderful in more ways than one. There is a reason they send the…read moremost number of students to Ivy League Universities in the state. SCSD prepares you along every step of the way, and especially to be a success in, and out of the classroom. Their curriculum is challenging, yet allows even the average student to reach their potential. They also offer the most AP/advance placement classes that I know of. I myself took 12 AP courses throughout my high school career, and I can attest that their standards help you prepare for college. Their sports, among other activities allow for well-rounded students come graduation day. The fine arts program is also extremely well funded, and allows for students to pursue their interests. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure Syosset's teachers are paid higher, our taxes are higher, and our superintendent gets paid too much, but results come at a cost. I cannot speak about the Special Education programs as I have no personal experience with them, but for the average student going through Syosset, the results speak for themselves. A shout out to the Girls Varsity Tennis Team which has won Long Island Championships for 3 years in a row! Rock on girls, make me proud :)

A highly recommended activity for your next event, fundraiser,…read morebachelorette, etc. This is an amazing private "paint night" experience that goes where you need them to go. I hired Happy Little Brush Strokes as a painting activity for a bachelorette party, and the company was so easy to work with from start to finish. I reserved my date several months in advance because their calendar fills up quickly! You're able to choose one of the paintings from their website and adapt it to what you need. I chose to paint full-sized wine bottles (and place fairy lights inside of the bottle so it lights up!) since the bachelorette party was "wine themed." The price was $30 per person for the experience. I believe if you choose to paint a canvas, it's $25 per person. Happy Little Brush Strokes came all the way out to Greenport, Long Island to do this activity. The instructor, Bob, was an absolute delight, who was filled with so much positive energy! He provided everything we needed for the event (paint, brushes, water cups, the wine bottles, fairy lights). The only thing we needed to provide were tables, table cloths, and chairs for our group of 7. The experience took just over two hours, and everyone had an amazing time!

I ordered this DJI Mic Mini charger on December 16. As the holiday approached I became anxious…read morebecause the order status still read "Awaiting Processing." I emailed for a status update but initially received no reply. In less than 24 hours I received outreach DIRECTLY FROM THE COMPANY PRESIDENT, Mr. Brad Berger. When is the last time the president of a 74-year-old family business in the USA called you or emailed you? This was my first time. Mr. Berger determined there was a mix-up, and the items I ordered were out of stock. Someone was supposed to reach out earlier, but wires got crossed. I'll tell you folks something. I am not a spring chicken, and that means I was alive before everyone had cell phones, tablets, and laptops. I grew up in a time when companies, especially those like the Berger Brothers, really cared about their reputation and their customers' satisfaction. They would take the extra step to make things right when something disappointing happened. If I sound nostalgic, I AM. In this era of fast everything, few companies take the time to invest in customers and clientele. The Berger Brothers is one of those unicorn companies that hold fast to these traditions. While they didn't have what I ordered, Mr. Berger more than made up for the disappointment with his multifaceted outreach. He and his family business have set the bar for every other I encounter from here on out. Stellar, five-star service.
