Brian had been recommended as a in-home PT for me by my surgeon's PA, as well as my PT at OHSU. I was told by Beyond The Clinic that Brian(an owner) was leaving the company in early June. My Surgery is June 13th. So, I was then assigned Trevor to be my post surgery in-home PT. I waited for literally weeks to hear back from Trevor, who was to be my PT for in-home care post surgery. When Trevor did call back weeks later, It was to say that he was leaving the company and therefor unable to be my PT. This after my leaving multiple messages with the front office(and one message for him in person with the company OT). Also, I was notified of Trevor's leaving with less than 1 week out from my surgery date. I am so thankful a doc at OHSU referred me to Beyond the Clinic. House calls for a $30 trip fee per episode, sure!! What convenience. It's great too since we only use what I have, so I have less excuses for not doing the exercises ;) I have a bulging disc and pinched nerve and wasted four sessions with another PT who was no help. I learned great stretches and exercises the first time Ben arrived at my house. He is very knowledgeable and provides great guidance and instruction on how to improve things like posture. I learned a lot of stretches and strengthening exercises over a few sessions. Ben was always on time and is super nice and personable. Today was the last session that I needed, at least for now, and I was sort of sad to say bye! Thanks, Ben!!! read more

The only positive in this company is Brian the PT. He was very friendly and knowledgeable with my shoulder re-hab and recovery. Even though he forgot his treatment table for one session and was late due to "traffic" several times I was happy with my care. I would give zero stars for the company, office staff and owners. All of my interactions with this company were terrible. Phones are rarely answered and you have to leave messages for everything. Scheduling was not easy. Billing was an absolute nightmare. I am still getting bills 6 months after treatment date. I have called asking for more information and the owner "doesn't really know". Very unprofessional. Please be warned - do not waste the money and go to a real office. I have had treatment at OHSU as well and they were fantastic! read more

My mother recently finished her Physical Therapy (PT) sessions with Beyond the Clinic after a total right knee replacement. It was our lucky day when she cancelled her appointments with the recommended clinic in town and switched to Beyond the Clinic. By being able to stay at home and have the PT come for home visits, she no longer needed to worry about depending on her husband driving her to appointments, making him wait for her, or dealing with the literal pain of getting in and out of the car. Ben Musholt was her main PT with Aaron Saari seamlessly substituting twice. On the first visit Ben assessed not only her condition, but her home. He gave us input on where she could do exercises and which chairs & sofas would be appropriate props. He also reviewed what exercises could be done in her bed, the living room, dining room or even using the kitchen counter. He watched how she walked around her home, on the driveway or along the road, so she could then practice every day on her own. This far exceeded the PT given in an office. She feels that she never would have had the level of input where she could effectively go through the painful exercises and stretches she needed and still needs to do to get back to normal. Every time Ben came, he assessed not only her progress and answered questions, but also gave her more ways to exercise the same muscles. Ben and Aaron were friendly, but firm in that she needed to endure the painful stretches, if she wanted to keep her goal of walking without a limp. They showed us how to massage the knee and leg to move the swelling, how to work the scar and knee area to loosen the skin, and how to breathe to ease the painful exercises. She still has a long way to go, but we all feel so fortunate to have met Ben and Aaron in her home environment. She can now continue getting better knowing how to help herself at home in the best way. Any one of us would recommend Beyond the Clinic in a heartbeat. read more

After a week of calling to schedule an appointment (they were In Network on the UHC site), I was told that they "sort of" take my insurance but really they don't because the "cost of a visit is more than my plan pays" so they basically ask patients to pay out of pocket...totally unethical as they contracted with UHC to provide service to their patients. It's great that they offer to come to you but I guess only if you pay them more. Shame on them! read more

Simply awesome service - one of the best experiences ever! I broke my ankle skiing. After surgery, my main goal was to get back on the slopes as fast as possible. Aaron S. was the most amazing PT! Not only did he focus on my goal - once I was ready he even gave me workouts that made me a better skier than I was before my injury! Having him come to my house at first was a huge plus since I couldn't drive. Meeting at the gym later was even better once I was mobile - he taught me exercises that were fun and ski-focused. Not only a great therapist but just an all-round cool, nice guy able to motivate and support me during a tough time. One of our final "sessions" was actually skiing up at Mt. Hood - can't really ask for any better follow through on meeting my original goal! Also, the business is owned by the therapists- how cool. If you or your loved ones have any PT/OT needs don't look any further - call Beyond the Clinic and you won't regret it!! read more

Great service! I loved the flexibility to schedule appointments. They came to my house after my work day, so I did not have to use any sick time. I was also offered the possibility of a therapist coming to my work at my lunch break for treatment! it does not get better than that! Ben was my therapist (the Portland Ninja warrior contestant). First of all, this guy has been an athlete all his life, so when I talked to him about my running injury he made feel that he knew what he was talking about, and most important, he really help me heal my injuries and to change and improve my workouts to prevent injuries. I had a complicated hip injury preventing me from continuing my active lifestyle. As a nurse working nights, I have limited free time, Beyond the Clinics ability to come to my house made therapy convenient and possible. Ben was my PT, and he was wonderful. Being an athlete himself, he understood my urgency to get back to my normal level of activity. He provided me exercises that not only rehabbed my current injury but also exercises to strengthen and prevent future injuries. Utilizing objects in my house (large books, stairs, etc) to aid with my exercises, I did not have to purchase any additional equipment. Beyond the Clinic is fantastic. We see Trevor Stephenson and he is amazing. My dad has patella femoral syndrome and prior physical therapists prescribed exercises that did more damage than good which caused my dad to fear that he'd lose his ability to walk. Trevor did a step by step process that started with just stretching progressing to strengthening in future sessions once his legs started straightening out. He catered an entire program with exercises that could be done in the home. Each week more exercises would be added to the routine depending on physical progress. Trevor has been a true life saver. My dad has gone from wheeling around in a wheelchair in order to avoid extreme knee pain to walking around town, driving his stick shift car, and climbing stairs. Trevor's not only been there to give physical guidance but was also there to give emotional support. Being injured for so many months and fearing not walking took a toll on my dad and Trevor made him believe he was going to be ok. You can not go wrong with beyond the clinic and Trevor. It is so amazing that they come into your home and create a routine you can follow daily. It takes away the stress of figuring out how to get out of the house so you can save your strength for exercises. I'm so happy my friend suggested trying in home physical therapy and I found Beyond the Clinic. We would have been lost without Trevor! read more
