This is my first time having my hair done and I was super nervous and asked a couple of questions and my hair was done by Dina and she was super okay with answering any of your questions and asks you really what you would like and would recommend something after if you're unsure. I brought my mother-in-law to this solan today to get her hair cut. We both felt so welcome from the moment we walked in the door. Dina was our stylist and she was wonderful with my mother-in-law. Dina asked questions and truly listened to everything she said as she tried to describe what she wanted. The end result was perfect. It wasn't just Dina though, two other ladies came over after the hair washing to help get her back in the wheelchair before we rolled her over to get the cut. They moved the typical haircut chair and let her sit in her wheelchair to make it easier. My mother -in-law is already talking about when she needs to go back. read more

I was there for Make up and Hair, the hair was fine but the make up was not what I expected, I went there because I needed a nice make up that lasted for a few hours and bc they have almost 5 stars (must be for the hair) I asked the lady for smokey eyes and she said that wasn't good for my eyes! I said I don't want fake eyelashes since mine are long enough, she insisted they were gonna look very natural and put them on, I told her I didn't like them and she said it was bc I had extensions on my lashes already! I told her they were my natural eyelashes and she insisted they were not! she didn't use primer, concealer, brushes (only for foundation) the eyeline wasn't done right, and the lipstick was a pink which I didn't like, I paid $145 for both hair and make up, ("with discount") wasn't worth it at all! I explained there is no date on this, it's not a printable coupon, it's a pop up on your own website. She just kept saying sorry it's expired, and so I told her it should be removed from the site if they won't honor it. the most vile, rude, ill-mannered people work here. came for a haircut and connie ended up cutting my hair nearly 4 inches above what I asked for. the hair doesn't look anything like the photo i showed her. she didnt blow dry, telling me that it was extra. i didnt want to pay anything extra for just dry hair so i said it was fine and left. i gave her the benefit of the doubt and went home to dry it myself. when i say it looks like edward scissorhands did this. she chopped my hair into bits and not one piece blends in. she clearly had been in a rush and spent MAYBE 15 minutes on my hair. i left the studio at 10:24 for my 10:00am appointment. heres where the best part comes in. I called after looking at it dry. asked to speak to a manager, who i assume was Orlando. i explained the situation and he said to come back in. i told him there was no way to fix it, the hair was too short to do anything and i would send photos of what i asked for vs what i got. i truly wanted to show him the haircut. at this point, my hair is too short to do anything and i wouldn't want to risk another botch job from them and lose what little length i have left. he asked why i didnt do a blow dry and i told him exactly as she said; It would be extra. he said no its included and that she charged me $10 less. i said why wouldnt anybody mention that and just assume i knew that by the blow dry being extra, she meant the original $65 i was told. Orlando then kept saying "fine, i'll charge you $20 now then". as if threatening to charge my card without authorization is acceptable. I explained again, im not going to come back in. I had already drove home and blow dried it myself. he hung up the phone. absolutely horrendous stylists, and abhorrent customer service. take your money to great clips since its the same quality youd get here for 1/3 the price. read more

DO NOT GO TO Beyond Hair Studio, especially if you have a biracial child!!! Please read about my daughter's horrible experience at this place! What makes me that much angrier is that they were trying to tell me that her hair had to have been really messed up for a long time before I brought her in! Anyone who knows me and has even just seen Talia knows that this is absolute BS!!!! (Pictures in comments!) My daughter had the most awful experience ever in her life yesterday! She's 6 and we brought her in to get a hair cut and left with two huge mattes in her hair that took HOURS for a different hair stylist to comb out! When I brought her in yesterday, she had her hair in a braided pony tail in the back with a couple of tangled that are there every day just because of the nature of her hair. I comb and brush her hair and put it into braided pigtails or braided pony tails every singe day. When she first got to the hair place, Dina took My daughter to the sink and just put shampoo into her hair and started rubbing it with her fingers. Then, she took conditioner and started putting it into her hair. By this time, my daughter's hair had become even more tangled. Dina took a comb and started combing it at the top and not the bottom like it should be done. Then, she had my daughter sit in a chair and three different people worked on combing her hair. It was apparent that they didn't know what they were doing. I told the guy that was combing her hair that I comb her hair every day and that I've never had to deal with tangles like the ones she had after they had been combing her hair. So, I started to explain to the guy how I comb her hair. He asked me if I could show him how I comb her hair and I stood up and started trying to comb her hair the way it needed to be combed (from the bottom tips of her hair to the top). I was able to get one side of her hair combed the right way. Another lady came over and told me that she knew what she was doing and that she would take care of combing it out. This had taken me an hour to get through this part of her hair since my daughter had shampoo and conditioner put in her hair that wasn't appropriate for her hair and people combing her hair that didn't know how to comb it. The other lady tried to comb through her hair and when we were by the sink, she asked me who it was that had started doing her hair in the first place. I told her and at one point, she brought Dina over to let her know that the way she started doing her hair wasn't the way that biracial children should have their hair done in the first place. She brought my daughter back over to the chair and started to continue trying to comb her hair. By this time, my daughter had two huge mattes in her hair. The lady started talking to me about having to cut them out or having me order dread removing cream from the internet. Finally, she told me that there was nothing else that she could do and asked me if I wanted to go over and sit on the couch to talk about what could be done. Then, she started asking me what happened to her hair and tried to tell me that her hair had to have been like that for more than a day. I told her that I do my daughter's hair every single day and he hair is always done nicely. (I also told her that her child care provider and teacher see her every day and can attest to how nice my daughter's hair looks EVERY single day.) Needless to say, she kept asking me to tell her "the truth". Then, she kept telling me that she could either cut my daughter's hair out or that she could put it up into a ponytail and I could order dread removing cream from the internet and see a dread specialist. I was fuming by this time and eventually, I had the strength to get up and leave the store. She said there was nothing else she could do at that point and she said that she'd take "full responsibility " for it. Not being willing to leave my daughter's hair with two huge mattes in it, I contacted a hair stylist who was willing to come in and help me with her hair. Tracy worked for about 5 1/2 hours to get the mattes out of my daughter's hair. Thankfully, because Tracy knee what she was doing, she didn't have to cut the mattes out and she was able to put my daughter's hair up in a braided ponytail before we left the shop. Please note that this was an awful experience for my daughter. There were several times when she was crying and saying that her head hurt. She fell asleep on my lap and her scalp was so tender. I felt horrible for her and I would NEVER recommend that anyone go to Beyond Hair Studio, especially with a biracial child. However, about 8 hours later and after paying $100, my daughter's hair is finally the way it was the day before bringing her to Beyond. In response to the comment below - no, I didn't pay $100 yesterday. The $100 was paid to the hair stylist who spent HOURS removing the mattes that were made in her hair by Beyond! read more

Very patchy, stylist missed my roots in the back and front. The stylist was very sweet and managed to save some inches on my hair after the bleach, however, $300 for this patchiness doesn't seem justified. Keep in mind I have not washed my hair since the color was first placed (about 5 days, I was told to wait a week or my hair would fall out!), so color has not been washed out, this is the way it was left at the salon. The staff was friendly and they educate their clients prior to starting the hair color/cut process which I greatly appreciate, but missing patches like this is disappointing. read more
