Being a loyal customer for years, I am very disappointed with my most recent visit to Beyond Spa. I ordered an 80-minute massage to relax, unwind, and de-stress. The woman who massaged me kept initiating conversations about my life. She mentioned how "messed up" my back muscles were and then carried the conversation on until I got frustrated and stopped talking. After 20 minutes, I wanted the massage to be over. Instead of a relaxing environment, I became stressed and wanted her to stop touching me. She pumped excessive oil all over my body. By the time the massage was over, I had to use the white sheet to wipe off the excess oil because I felt like a slug. I am very upset because I spent $95 ($80 + tip) on a massage that ended up being a complete waste of time and money. I won't be visiting Beyond Spa again. read more

It's worth every penny. I would ask for their most requested masseuses because I did get a girl once who I'm not sure knew what she was doing and she talked way too much. However my other experiences have been so amazing, they deserve 5 stars. One bad apple won't ruin it for me. Best spa I'v ever been to. My husband and I were celebrating and decided to make a whole day out of it. So we decided to get a couples massage. I found this spa that prices barely over what the schools do. Boy were we surprised. We got a romance package for $168 that included a couples massage and two 50 min pedicures with refreshments. When we walked in we were blown away at how amazingly clam and beautiful it was. The whole spa was fantastic with beautiful rooms, dim lighting, aromatherapy neck pillows and the most amazingly beautiful pedicure room imaginable! This place is amazing at way less the price then other spas. Our 2 hour vacation should have cost 268 instead of 168. The spa on my honeymoon was amazing and expensive and still wasn't as nice as Beyond Spa or as affordable. You have to try this place if even for a pedicure it will cost you the same as any other place but is leaps and bounds above the rest. If you are looking for a great spa try this place you won't be sorry and if you don't believe me just go online and read all the other great reviews about the place. The therapists were both SO good, I'm sure that a regular massage from either would have been fantastic- but combined it was totally amazing. I absolutely loved my experience here! A friend of mine surprised me with a girls day. We started in the 'B' lounge, then got an 80 minute massage, and ended with a seasonal pedicure. Everyone that worked on us was very nice and professional! The lady that did my massage asked several times if I was comfortable or needed to readjust or if she was applying too much pressure. Anytime I asked her to go lighter, she would. She did a full body massage but asked if there was anywhere I'd like her to focus on. I told her I've been having pain in my lower back & hips and she did a wonderful job working on those areas, even though it was uncomfortable at times, I knew that in order for her to work out my knots, I would be uncomfortable at times. Once she was done, I felt like I was in a whole new body! The atmosphere was very relaxing- the lights were dimmed, the music was soft and calming and it just smelled really good! A friend of mine suggested that I go to Beyond Spa over a couple of months ago. I went and had a 100 minute massage with Camille. It was definitely one of the best massages that I've had. She wanted to make sure that I was comfortable with the pressure. I work in a call center, so my upper back and neck are stiff and tight often. couples massage review - The whole experience was very relaxing and our massage therapists were VERY comforting. I really enjoyed the check-in experience , very quick. We were first sat in a dimmed room with water and snacks, with a neck warmer since it is a little chilly. Our therapist then came and introduced themselves (forgot their names, oops) but they were so welcoming. They explained everything to us, being we were new to massages. The massage was AMAZING. after it had ended they waited outside our room with water and explained what to do after. Would recommend to anybody. read more

Best spa I have ever been to in my life! I have been coming here for years and I wouldn't go anywhere else. They are always so nice, it's very clean, everyone is so professional, and the prices are very reasonable. I recently moved to Las Vegas but I always book appointments for my mom, and prepay for her services so that she doesn't have to pay for anything when she goes in. I have never had a problem with them such as booking error or an unpleasant worker. I had my first spa experience here and I was very impressed! As soon as you walk in you feel relaxed. I came here with a friend and we both got the fully loaded facial. It's 80 minutes for $66, super affordable and well worth the price. In that time you can choose to have extractions done, which my friend did. I didn't and had a foot rub and scalp massage instead. I've had several massages here over the years, and all of them were good. The prices are higher than I would like to pay but that's pretty typical for a spa setting. They usually have same-day availability and that matters enormously to me when I hurt. The waiting area is relaxing with a hot wrap around your neck and a small selection of water and snacks. DO NOT BOOK A FACIAL HERE!!!! I took my friend there to get a facial for her birthday. We both got one. I spent over $100 and I got the worst service ever. I told the lady it was my first time getting one... she decided to take this as an out to do a crappy job. She didn't extract my zits, didn't message my head/neck AND only messaged my left arm and didn't finish messaging my right arm!!!! Also, while she was messaging my face, she kept getting stuff up my nose so I couldn't breath. It honestly was the worst.... to top it off she started ten min late and finished 10 min early. So what should have been a 50 min facial turned into a 30 min facial. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND A FACIAL AT BEYOND SPA!!! read more

Everywhere we have lived we seem to find a spa that makes it difficult to go anywhere else. This is the spa in Layton that we love to go to. The person doing the massage talks with you first about what areas of your body need the most attention and the massage is customized to meet your needs. I made an appointment for a massage, the receptionist didn't bother telling me the location had changed. She was also abrupt with her answers as if she wanted to get off the phone asap. So I went to the old location, and by the time I drove to the new place, I was 20 minutes late and still charged the full amount. The massage table also wasn't heated. The therapist gave a good massage, but did not know how to properly stretch my hamstrings compared to physical therapists had done in the past. I don't frequent spas but I have had some really good massages in the past. I booked their "Beyond Escape" package. For $168 you receive a foot soak, 50 min massage, facial, 1 fix and pedicure. That is a lot of services for the price and the atmosphere is relaxing and beautiful. Staff is very friendly and they don't talk too much so you can enjoy your time. That being said I thought it a little strange and was disappointed on the following areas. The foot soak was a bucket of warm water with a little scented powder added. There was no grape seed oil added as described and it was brought to you in the waiting area relaxation room that is full of other people who are waiting for services. The massage was the biggest disappointment. Although they did work on specific areas that you request, the massage technique was way below standard. There was no technique or flowing hand movements. I literally felt like a dog being scrubbed and it was very clunky and perfunctory. I have a hard time believing this technician had training. I don't have a super high standard, so this was really lacking. The fix I picked was a scalp massage which happened by the same masseuse immediately after the massage portion while you are still on the table. It was disappointing. The facial was wonderful and it included massage of the feet, arms and hands. I wish the esthician had done my massage as she was wonderful. My only criticism s that you have it while still on the same massage table. So you haven't been able to move for about three hours. I have a neck problem and I think facials should be done in a reclining chair, not flat on your back. Lastly I had the seasonal pedicure which is $40 by itself. It was good but for a spa pedicure price it should have included work on calluses and more scrubbing. All in all it was a nice experience but I would not go here for a massage and I think they are cutting corners in certain areas. read more

I really love this place, I love the ambiance and how you get spa treatment from the second you walk in the door. However, the last TWO times I have been in for a pedicure, my polish is chipped off within 2-3 days. I have never had this happen anywhere else, not even the strip malls. I love pedicures because the polish stays on forever. I know I could go back and get it fixed, but who really has time fore that? I visited Beyond Spa for the first time today, and WOW! I don't know that I'll be able to say enough good about it! I've seen their ads in the paper for quite a while, advertising $39 50-minute massages (and no, that's not just an introductory rate), but I was skeptical to go there because most spas charge twice that much. I thought there must be some awful catch--boy, was I wrong! When I walked in, I was greeted by a very friendly worker. She gave me a scented, heated neck wrap to put on my shoulders and escorted me into what I shall refer to as "the relaxation grotto", a comfortable waiting room, dimly lit, perfect for starting the relaxation process. Pleasant music was playing, and there were lovely magazines to browse through if you wanted to. My massage therapist then greeted me, escorted me into a lovely room, and I took my spot on a comfortable, heated massage table. Her massage skills were top-notch, and most of all, she was quiet. When I want a relaxing massage, I just want to lay there in peace, and that is exactly what I got. Once I turned face up, she put a pleasant, flax seed-weighted eye pillow over my eyes so the dim lighting wouldn't disturb me. Upon leaving, I got a glass of water, and thanks for my visit. I cannot imagine a more wonderful spa for such a wonderful price. I have been to many spas that cost much more, but haven't delivered half as an enjoyable experience. My mom was in town and she treated me to a massage/facial for my birthday. Thank god because if I had to pay for this, I'd be livid. Let's start with the massage. I was a massage therapist for 11 years as well as an instructor for 2.5. I don't think my therapist even went to school. Honestly, it was one of the worst I had. It not just about having strong hands my dear. You don't massage the front of someone's shin bone. Bones in general do not need to be massaged, and yet that's where she was a lot of the time. It was actually uncomfortable. The facial lady came in and what was supposed to be 30 mins ( I had about 10 mins from the time the massage was done until the esthetician came in so I looked at the time) was only about 23-25 and felt so rushed! It was good while it lasted though. I would have said something at the time, but no one was even out front when I left ( my mom had come in and paid) there's some office or something behind a curtain in the front. Just because it's paid for doesn't mean I don't want someone at the front to ask how my services were. I even hung out there for a few mins and still no one came out. Ugh. This place left me feeling full of regret that my mom even paid them. read more

I went here for a facial the day before my sister's wedding. Big mistake. The facial was so disppointing, my main purpose was to declog my pores. I repeated to her that I wanted to get everything out. The person who did my facial was very pleasant, but her techniques were not. She lightly rubbed and my skin did not feel or look any different. We really enjoy the spa but I'm highly disappointed and frustrated with the website. I wanted to surprise my husband with a gift certificate for a massage for valentines so I purchased one online at their website. It tells you that they will email you the gift certificate. I waited and waited and kept hitting refresh in my inbox but no email. I checked my bank and the money already was taken out. I went back and logged in again to double check that it has the right email address and it does. I even checked my junk folder for the email with no luck. So I've paid for a gift certificate that never showed up and I have nothing for my husband for Valentine's Day now. I won't be using this place again. read more

I have been to Beyond Spa several times but I will not return. A 50 minute massage is really a 40 minute massage. Appointment "clock" begins when you walk in the door....regardless that you are seated in a waiting lounge or prep time. Loved this place! Every staff member that I encountered was courteous and professional. I got a mani and pedi with my maid of honor and the two technicians were so chatty and outgoing, I wish I could remember their names. Conversation never felt forced. The only complaint I have is that it was a bit too dark in the spa for my liking, but I completely understand that most people like the ambience the dark lighting gives. Will definitely be back! I was told by my doctor to find a massage therapist that could help with headaches. I called Beyond Spa and was told that they had therapists that could help. I went and had a very enjoyable massage. My therapist Lilah did a full body massage then focused on my head. I was very pleased with the whole experience! The cost was great and the massage was as good as any I have had anywhere! read more
