I cannot begin to explain how filthy this place is. My nail tech brought out two rags for me to place my hands on. These rags were damp,covered in old nails and it was crusty. This place is questionable. It is a mess, my tech didn't wear gloves and cut me with his long thumb nail. Nails were ok but then I paid... I couldn't understand my tech. While getting my nails done I noticed the owner making her customers use the atm she conveniently placed next to the register, which by the way charges a $3 fee. She said they were out of paper (last time I stopped by, they were also out of paper when the hell is this paper coming!!)- but was she reimbursing these people for using said machine? Nope. I have been to Williston Nails 3 times. I don't even know why I went back so many times, each time was awful. I guess it's because I was new to town and not quite sure where to go. It was right by my apartment. With that being said, I do not recommend going there at all. Horrible customer service. Very pushy and VERY expensive. I didn't even get the full manicure or pedicure that was advertised. I got some sort of one but with a huge price tag. $150 for a mani/pedi with gel polish! And they refuse to take debit or credit so you are forced to use the ATM. I also really didn't appreciate the constant chatter in another language. We know that you are talking about the customers. I have only been in Williston a short while, but I never could find a good place to get my nails done. I called around, some places were charging upwards of 50 dollars for a gel polish manicure, and some places didn't have get polish. This is a must for me, because I don't have much luck with regular polish staying on my nails for more than a day without chipping or peeling off entirely. I had a friend tell me about Williston Nails after I had asked where she had gotten hers done. She said they did an okay job, so I decided the worst that could happen was I could leave with a crappy polish job/short nails. To my surprise, neither happened! my tech did a great job, and spoke english VERY well! We had a great conversation, and he was very polite. The next time I returned, I had a different male tech. He did alright but the polish didn't last long, maybe 4-5 days. I went again yesterday to have a polish change, and they came out beautiful. I had a female tech this time and she was a little rough when taking off the remainder of my previous polish, but my nails weren't damaged. They, also, got a bunch of new colors in and they are all awesome! I couldn't decide, so I let my tech pick and I couldn't be happier! The color she picked was a neutral purple color ("plum") and she faded silver glitter from the tips. She complimented me on how healthy and strong my natural nails are, and said that I had perfect nails for nail art! I did pedicure #2. It was all over in 20 minutes, including my "10 minute " massage which was more like 6 minutes. And 5 and a half of those minutes were spent on my left shin. I think he massaged my right leg for about 30 seconds and never got any form or foot massage. There are bubbles in my polish and because he didn't put those foam separators between my toes, the polish is smudged on my right foot. Very disappointed. This salon is not great. I probably could have done a better job at home. The chairs looked pretty dirty, and I was hesitant to let my feet touch the basin. I was seated in a chair with the water turned on, but then left alone for 20 minutes. The staff seemed blasé about time efficiency and customer service. A regular pedicure is $30, but I feel it should have been much lower, for what I got. Once the technician did come over to me, it took about 5 minutes and felt very very rushed. So I've been trying to just move on but I am still super lit up... We went to Williston nails and before we went I called and said I'd be coming in with my 2 4 year old girls and asked how much it would be for them? $10 for polish. Okay. So we go and when we come in I say 3 pedicures. I mentioned I called in earlier and was told it would be $10 for just polish blah blah blah , they seat us. And begin to draw water. (We've never been there, I don't know what is happening yet). My kids are loving their feet in the water, just like one of the big girls, right? This woman sits down and begin painting my daughters fingers first, then her toes, then asks if they want details? I say sure! How fun! It's all smiles and giggles! She finished daughter 1's NOW Mani-pedi and walks away. She goes and sits down and wanders around a bit. So I'm confused and think maybe my tech will do daughter 2's nails when she's done with mine?? Like, she's done.. Meanwhile my Lady hands me a finger nail color chart for my toes, and says pick a color. I hold it and look over all the colors and she reminds me a couple times to pick a color. She asks if I want my feet scraped and when I began to get confused, then decline, (cause I don't need it) she pulls out a paper and asks which level pedicure I wanted. I say $40 (level 2 of 3) which somehow she says ok that's $55 .....? Ok. So now with no idea why my $40 pedicure is $55.. (Scrape not included, high pressure to get the full package). She asked if I wanted details on my toes too. I say yeah! How fun! And something was off so I asked how much all of this would be before I accepted any extras. Oh the girls are $35 each and I'm $55 (for gel polish I didn't know/ ask for). But okay. Wait. ......$35 EACH?? For what? Wait. I only brought $100!!! Which should've been PLENTY to fund our "Mommy Daughter day out". Has before... (this isn't our first time getting pedicures together.) Well now the room gets tense and that woman who worked on my daughter is getting an attitude and trying to embarrass me!! Oh those tiny black lines are an up charge. They also tried to charge me for designs my other daughter didn't get. Also an entire toe was smudged off and she left it. One of my other daughters finger stripes smudged and she didn't fix it. But I'm supposed to pay $35???? For baby toes you half assed? After we got home I saw an entire finger is missing too. As I'm writing this! another finger gone.. They acted like I'm fucked up because I didn't just pay it quietly and go away?? Roll your eyes at me again. I have never had such a horrible experience at a nail salon. Went in and got a pedicure, waited for the employee to tell me I'm good to go, she put my socks on and shoes on with my polish still wet. Came back the next day for a manicure and to get my toes fixed, manicure was half asked with shellac all over my fingers, and they repainted them...and had some issue where they had to redo my big toe 3 times....then...I waited for them to dry for OVER a half an hour and they were still wet. I got so frustrated that I left with them wet and painted them myself when I got home. Absolutely trash. Waste of money. Will not EVER recommend or return to this salon. read more

Best place in ND. It's clean and the staff is very friendly. I went to other nail salons in williston after moving here from civilization. These manicurists are great and now what they are doing. And they have the best prices in the area! Most salons are charging so much here for a crappy job. You can get $25 fill and $40 set. I'll definitely be going back there. Walked in and there were quite a few people sitting in pedicure chairs and manicure chairs. Waited about 15-20 minutes for my pedicure to start. The male who was doing my pedicure kept pushing for me to get the higher (more priced) option. There are three or four options for a pedicure. 1 is less than basic. 2 is basic pedicure with parafin wax dip for your feet 3 is all of the above with gel polish. Mind you all these options says 10 minutes foot massage included. I originally said I'll go with the 2nd option being that it was already 40.00. He said my feet needed to be scrapped of dead skin so he would do it for 47.00 then asked me why not do gel? Then said you get wax dip, dead skin scrap, sea salt scrub, and what I THOUGHT was the foot massage. I got everything but a foot massage. At the end of my pedicure the male employee asked how everything was and I said it was good except I didn't get more than maybe a minute foot massage. (The lady next to me had been sitting there a lot longer, started before me, and was still getting her feet massaged). He looked at her and said " well she doesn't get polish so she gets a longer foot massage" I said that's fine but I didn't get one at all. He said ok I can give you one, as I was already walking to the register. To some this may not be a problem but 95% of the reason I go get a pedicure is for the foot massage (which is because back home 9/10 nail salons are giving 15-20 minutes foot massages during pedicures. I was just a little bummed. Paid 65.00 walking out the door. May go back, with just no expectation of getting a foot massage cause my toes do look pretty nice. read more

Would give zero stars if possible. I am a person who always has her nails done. Just moved here and decided to try out Williston nails as it's close to where we live. Worst idea ever! When I first sat down the man told me that all my nails were lifted...no they weren't. Only two on my left hand were lifted but he insisted taking them all off and starting over. So I'm like whatever. My natural nails are long and I had an acrylic overlay so no tips at all. He cut down my natural nails so short and glued those tips on...which I didn't like but still whatever. This man did my nails and talked to his neighbor the whole time. I'm Vietnamese and this is the first nail salon I've ever been to that I actually heard the nail techs talking about their customers. He complained to his neighbor about how stiff my hands were and it was so hard to work on my hands cause I was so stiff. Not once did he tell me to try to relax. I stiff up when I'm not paying attention and he wasn't holding a conversation with me so I just kinda got lost in my world. Then another man came in and asked how many customers came in today (assuming this was the owner because it seemed like an owner type question). Guy working on my nails said there was one other person and "this girl with the grumpy face". Excuse me if I was born with a resting bitch face. Again. If you're not holding a conversation with me, I'm not gonna sit there and keep smiling like an idiot. When he was done, I looked at my nails...the color was beautiful. The shape? Looks like I have ten mini shovels on my fingers. Why are the free edge so wide? My finger is definitely not that wide. I was late running errands so I just wanted to pay and leave. When I paid he realized I was Vietnamese because of the name on my card. He asked if I understood Vietnamese and I told him yes and it was super awkward. To make matters worse the next day I went to a restaurant and asked our waitress where she got her nails done at. When she told me she got them done out of town, I told her I had the worse experience ever at a nail salon. And she said. "You didn't go to Williston nails did you?" When I walked into Williston nails i was very optimistic. Unfortunately my optimism faded as soon as my fingers were plopped in a bowl of acetone. I had never experienced this method of getting gel polish off so I chalked this up to a difference in methodology. What I am accustomed to is each finger being wrapped in foil with little balls of acetone soaked cotton on each nail. This likely serves two important purposes (conserving acetone and saving my fingers from the chemical). After the acetone soak my fingers were placed in a bowl of hot water sans any other ingredient such as soap or disinfectant. Cuticle oil was used after the nail tech was finished with my cuticles. My nails do not have a consistent shape and the cuticle chop job left much to be desired. I decided not to have them paint my nails. There was no alternate price for having less work done. read more

I went to have a manicure, it was busy but I was able to get it done quickly. However all the employee's are Asian and they would talk about the customers and laugh about them in their language. It is very obvious as well. A customer would finish with a pedicure, get up and walk to pay., the employee who was taking care of her would make a comment in their language, the other employee's would all turn to look at the customer being talked about and laugh or giggle. For this reason I will not be giving them my Business. Also had to ask for some nail polish that the tech brushed on my finger accidentally be removed. Never going back to this place! I was way over charged. Got a regular pedicure, gel manicure on natural nails and an eyebrow wax and was charged $100! The girl doing my nails nipped my cuticle then placed a cotton ball soaked in some kind of liquid in it to stop the bleeding but it burned SO bad I had to take it off! Today I have a nasty infection in my finger, having to go to the doctor. (Had nails done yesterday.) Had a regular pedicure and she asked if I wanted the dead skin removed and I said yes so she preceded to scrub my feet, well it started hurting so I let her know. She kept scrubbing and now my big toe is RAW and hurting! The next lady came over to do my eyebrow a and jerked my head over waxed and didn't say a word the entire time?
