Once he arrived he attempted to do things cheapskate way. Instead of acrylic flowers that you create, he tried to use a charm that was sticking up off the nail, essentially it was going to fall off. My total came to $260.00 for a pedicure and FILL IN (REFILL) I have NEVER paid that. And I just recently moved here from Texas, and even there the prices are NOT inflated like that. I hate to play the race card, but as I'm sitting in there many woman not of color being treated better than me, nicer, more friendly, etc. I would think spending $260 I would get some sort of at least pleasantries. Either way, the work (once guided) was good, but I think they inflated the prices on me. This time I went the nails were $130.00 for a full set, design and soak off. It's so weird that a refill and design was $120.00. The guy who explained the pricing to me was RUDE and aggressive. I only asked if he could provide me the breakdown or itemized receipt.. NOW the guy that actually does the nails? HE IS AMAZING! I love his work. Even if it's an intricate design, he still attempts and it looks good!

The Spa is very clean and has stations for pedicures. They have hundreds of nail colors to choose from and do UV polish to seal the acrylic manicures. The location is near Albertson's grocery store and some other businesses (including a sandwich shop and some retail stores) so if you're running errands you can stop in and get your nails done and continue on your way. They have automated CC billing so you don't have to hit the ATM on the way there.

I let it go and thanked her when she was done. I paid $65, which is crazy but whatever, and included a tip. It wasn't until I got home that I realized that she never filed my nails down and that she painted my French tips not to the top of the nail but under it. If she had trimmed and shaped the nail in the first place it the French line would have been there. But, she didn't trim the nail so the line is painted somewhere in the middle. Up close it's extremely sloppy. It's been two days and the gel is already peeling off. What I don't understand is how do you not shape the nails in a pedicure??? The cheaper pedicure includes the word shaping. The Gold Star pedicure doesn't say shaping so I'm really confused. Did she purposely not shape my nails? I'm finally looking at my nails up close and realizing it's the worst paint job I've ever seen and the bottom of my feet are exactly the same as when I walked in. I had a pedicure and was never given a menu to select from so assumed there was only one. Only did clear gel. Wanted a basic cheap pedicure to clean up my cuticles. My bill came to $130. Typically, I do pedicure with French tips etc. have never paid this. I didn't mean to book here and thought it was the nail salon in the strip mall close by, but I decided to be nice keep my appt: man what mistake. 130$ later and 1.5 hours of swatting at flies galore in the place most traumatic experiences ever.
