While there, I scheduled an appointment for a facial, and explained that I would be back in Toronto and spoke to the facialist at length about what we would do on that appointment. I left my CC to secure the appt. I received a text confirmation AND email confirmation as well as a form to fill out prior to the appointment as well as a note that cancellations less than 24 hours prior to appt would result in being charged for the cost of the appt. I have no issue with this. Today on March 3, less than one hour before my confirmed appointment I got a call from Gee Beauty explaining they needed to cancel the appointment, with no reason, couldn't offer a new rescheduled appointment, didn't offer an alternative time, or day and when I questioned why and how they can do this but charge their customers when they cancel- the person hung up on me. I called back twice and my calls went straight to voicemail. I left a voicemail- no reply, I then called later the same day and Sarah picked up, I explained the situation and asked about the poor service and she hung up on me. So AVOID GEE BEAUTY - a once amazing, customer centric family run business is now being run by a bunch of ignorant, deplorable, rude and entitled kids that hang up on clients. Take your $300 and spend it anywhere else for a facial. NO one deserves to be treated like that.

I made an appointment after work, and I arrived on time. First impression, it was clean and well kept. I had to wait about 15 minutes while the hairdresser (I think Gary) was finishing up with another client. It was fine, I was not in a rush. When it was my turn, Gary greeted me and he was a ball of energy. He mentioned it was a really busy day and he made himself an espresso (offered me one too) and began washing my hair. It seemed like he was in a rush and washed quite quickly. He consulted me on how I wanted to get it cut, and I explained, and showed him a couple quick examples. I just wanted some layers. He said that will be easy and started cutting my hair. He was quite speedy, which was concerning at first, but I was chatting with him the whole time and became distracted. Gary is a great conversationalist! After the cut, he round-brushed my hair and it had some curls. It looks nice and I was satisfied. He quickly cashed me out and went off to his next client. My entire appointment lasted about 40 minutes from washing to cashing out. So why the three stars? Today I straightened my hair and I think it looks ridiculous! Left side, top layers appear to be significantly shorter than the bottom layer; whereas the right side is blended pretty well. I am not happy with this. The experience at the salon was a solid 5 stars, but the cut... 1. I might still go back to them for a quick blow-out, but I am a little skeptical about getting my hair cut. In fact... I will have to be careful about rushed appointments in general. I want to recommend this salon, but I am torn. Please make sure you talk to them carefully about how you want your hair cut, and inspect it carefully after.

I did research, and they are the ONLY salon I found to have the ORIGINAL Brazilian Blowout keratin treatment in GTA. The bottle was right on the counter as I had my hair done, went home and looked it up afterwards and it was the real deal! Didn't burn my eyes at all, smells amazing, and my hair a month later looks AWESOME!! Gerti is excellent! He's incredibly thorough and thoughtful. Took care to comb the treatment meticulously through my frizzy damaged hair, root-to-tip, then took the time to blowdry then straighten with an iron. He was very knowledgeable and professional and really seemed to care about my hair, unlike many stylists who rush through the process.

Heidi made sure to explain the process fully and carefully created the colour that I was looking to achieve. To help her with the colour I had in mind, I brought the lip tint that I normally used. She then crafted the colour with her pigments and ensured that I was happy with the colour prior to applying it. Keeping in mind that everyone's pain tolerance level is different, I did not feel uncomfortable or in pain during the actual process (numbing cream was used before the process begun). Heidi made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire lip blushing process. Upon completion, she thoroughly explained the healing and aftercare process. Again, keeping in mind that everyone's skin will react differently, my lips were pretty swollen after. However, as advised by Heidi, the swelling subsided after 2 days and the whole healing process took about 6 days for all the scabs to come off. Thank you Heidi for doing such a wonderful job!

While browsing places to get microblading done for my mom, I came across Oh My Lash and Brow on Yelp. What stood out the most, were the before and after pictures of Heidi's previous clientele. Add in the $250 for $450 voucher and the relative close distance to my house, and I was sold. Next, it was easy calling in and making an appointment for the next day; and Heidi gave useful directions over the phone, for getting to her unit number within the plaza - she is located on the second floor; & once you get up the stairs, there are large signs above each door in the hallway letting you know of which business is which. The overall process took about 3 hours, with the majority of the time being spent on the pre-procedure tasks including: initial information session on microblading, consultation, and sketching of the eyebrows. My mother is a very picky woman so they had to be perfect before we could move on haha - I appreciate Heidi's patience. The actual procedure took anywhere from 30-60 minutes and a lot of numbing agent is applied to the area before and during the procedure to eliminate any pain sensations. Heidi also continually checked in with my mom asking her if she was ok and/or feeling any pain. Another great point to mention was Heidi's obvious knowledge and experience performing this procedure. She gave us plenty of information in the beginning regarding risks, signs of infection to look for following the procedure, and she was sure to explain the sterility of the microblading tools she would be using. [Cool to note that she even staples the freshly opened package to each client's consult form.] With my mom and I both being nurses, we were very happy to see that detail and attention were put into the health safety of the procedure, which involves needles and the breakage of skin, therefore carrying a high potential of transmission of infections. Overall, my mom and I were very happy with the results, the entire process and this wonderful microblading experience with Heidi. She gifted us with another voucher to help spread the word and I will definitely be sure to pass it to a friend. It is well worth the time and money spent! They sell a large variety of Japanese, Korean and other brands from Asia all in one place. It's like going to pacific mall except not hectic and full of crazy people. The store has such a cute aesthetic too, very IG worthy if you're into that. It's just so cute and gives a vibe for you to stay and make yourself at home rather than "get what you need and get tf out" They also have a salon attached to it - looks amazing and aesthetic. They offer a lot of different hair services. The most amazing part is the eyelash boutique they have in the back with nice comfy beds, a blanket and it's just so comfy, I definitely fell asleep during my service. Tiana is an eyelash god. She has the most delicate hands and I seriously felt nothing when she was doing it. I've had lash technicians poke at my eyes and I've got to say this was the most comfortable experience I've had. I got the mega diamond lashes done and damn mama, they are THICCC. What seriously surprised me is how light and fluffy they are - I expected heavy lashes which I can barely see out of (which is what my heavy mink lashes feel like) but nope! Even when you touch them, they feel like real thick lashes. My mom can't stop touching it and I've had mad compliments in the one day I've had them on. Tiana told me they're high quality lashes from Japan and you can definitely see and feel the difference. I'm not just hyping this place up, you need to try and you'll definitely feel the difference for yourself. I am absolutely in love with the results! My short straight Asian lashes were transformed into the wispy fluttering lashes that I've always wanted! They looked completely natural as well and I received many compliments by friends and family on how great my lashes looked! First off, the atmosphere inside Moss was clean and fresh, and their lash stations were located in a very pretty area at the back of the store that was nice and cozy. My lash tech did a great job in making sure I was comfortable the entire time, and explained what she was doing so I was never in the dark about what was happening (even with my eyes closed haha). I got the Love Classic set and the whole process took just a little over an hour and a half. At one point I was so relaxed I ended up falling asleep! I will definitely be coming back to get fills when I can, and would gladly recommend this place to anyone wanting to amp up their lash game!

Unfortunately, mere days after my appointment my nails started lifting like crazy on all corners - and I don't do any hard labour or something. By two weeks after my appt, all my nails were partially lifted and some were barely hanging on. I gave the salon a call but their policy is only to fix any chips within a week so it had been too long. I've never had such poor staying power on any shellac manicure I've done - this is probably the worst I've seen. I will not go back or recommend to my friends. I had to remove the nails 2 weeks after the appointment and they were all partially lifted.

I received a full set of mink lash extensions here in April 2017 in preparation for a two week long…read morevacation I was taking. Both my sister in law and I drove from the east end all the way to Vaughan to get our lashes done because we got a great promo deal via Groupon and their work on Instagram looked pretty good. Location: it was a little confusing to get here, but if you look for the TB Tax sign in the plaza, you're in the right spot. There is free parking available and it's a fairly large lot. The salon itself is up a pretty steep flight of stairs and there wasn't an elevator as far as I could tell. It is NOT baby stroller or wheel chair friendly. The space itself is small, clean and pretty. I liked the little touches, like the glitz on the hand towel in the bathroom, and the huge fluffy pillow on the couches. There is no separate area for waiting and treatment, so if you're shy about being beautified with a possible audience, be warned. Mind you, when we visited, there was one other girl finishing up before us and we basically had the place to ourselves. This was great because I had to bring my 8 month old daughter with me and she is a giggly little thing that babbles quite loudly some times. Nicole did both my lashes and my SIL's lashes, although she received an HD set for a 20$ upgrade fee. It was totally worth it if you have a lot of lashes because it looked fabulous on her. I have much shorter and sparser lashes so I stuck with a more natural look. The thing I loved was that I literally just said, "Hey, I just don't want to wear mascara on vacation and still look bright eyed in photos..." and she just knew what to do based on my lash length and eye shape. I also wear glasses so it was important that I didn't get cartoonishly long lashes that bumped my lenses. The lashes were soft and didn't feel stiff to the touch. I left with a little pink pouch with some aftercare instructions and a pink mascara wand to keep the lashes brushed. The lashes held up pretty decently without any refills, even after about four weeks. I've always been pretty good about lash care, but this vacation had been pretty hectic so I hadn't brushed them as much as I normally would and they still looked full, albeit a bit tangled by the end of the day. I'd say they looked pretty good at up until about the six week mark, after which there were just too many lashes that had fallen off. This, however, far exceeded my expectations. Overall, I'd recommend this place, particularly if you live in the area. I don't think I'd be returning regularly only because it's such a trek from my place, but Nicole did a great job and knows what she's doing when it comes to lash extensions.
