The staff is amazingly accommodating and make you feel right at home. My small group of 3 had an appointment, and a longer than expected breakfast. The staff was super friendly and very easy going. The trip is an easy 2+ hour and my only though is it could be longer. The place seems to be located somewhere in the middle of the path. So it is not the type where you start off, or end up by where you are tubing, you get driven and then picked up. They have a pro shop which has basics things that you may have forgotten if it is an impromptu tube trip. We lucked out on a party cloudy Saturday with80 degrees. They also have canoeing and even paddle board yoga. The tubes have a little head rest which is nice when laying belly up. The tubes also have connectors so they can tie up nice and easily. They have 2 can holders for your beverages. As with all river trips, no glass. I would also suggest pony up for the extra cooler tube it really rounds out the experience.

This year we rented from Saturday to Saturday even though we weren't staying at our rental until Sunday. When we arrived on Sunday we were all ready to take the pontoon boat out, but there was less the 1/8 of a tank of gas in it. We were stranded and someone from Bubba's company did not arrive to fill it with gas until 7pm that night. An entire day was lost and there was NO hint at a discount or change in price to this error. We contacted Bubba on Friday to see when pick up was and we kindly requested a later pick on Saturday due to the inconvenience caused on that Sunday and we were met with "we'll see what we can do." Paying an astronomical amount of money per day should result in a boat in perfect condition....not mold, leaves and pine needles in every cushion lifted up. I'm beyond appalled with the condition and service of the boat rental. If you're up in this area go with ANY OTHER RENTAL and you'll be better off.

The installation was so terrible it ended up destroying to new canvas after 6 uses. I called and sent pics of what happend and they made every excuse in the book on how it wasn't their fault. Basically the height of the canvas was installed uneven and it ripped off from the bottom when the camped was popped up. Hooked it up, no tools with him, no air to check tires, squatted the truck of course. Driver hauled it fine and put it exactly where I wanted it the first time. If you like driftwood for decorative purposes, here's the place! Seems lots of North Woods cabins have some driftwood in their yards, or people craft things using driftwood. Here's a great beach for finding it. The place is about 8 miles off the major highway and is hard to get to. If anything, by writing this review, it will help me remember how to find it next time. Going northbound from downtown Crystal Falls along US-141, turn right at Fisher Road. These are all gravel backroads from here on. Continue on Fisher, then turn left on Balsam Road. Once you get to WPA Road, you'll see a sign for Recreation Areas 17 & 19. Turn right and continue towards Area 19. There will be some twist and turns but keep going. You'll see a lake and a boat landing area. The actual driftwood beach is a little walk down a hiking path. The beach is lined with wooden stairs to sit and watch the water. Off to the side is a wooded area with all kinds of driftwood washed ashore. Some are dog-fetching stick size and others are 12-footers that would require two people to carry them out of the water. The lake is part of the Way Dam hydroelectric project, so water levels can vary. Happy hunting!

As It came closer to make the trip we became more concerned about the virus as it might impact us in terms of our flights as well as being in Milwaukee. He then calls the next day to ask why we didnt pick up the rental the prior day (that they cancelled), went back against his word said he would be billing for all 3 days as it was our fault for not picking up the rentals AND his "system" would not allow him to refund or change any reservations. We fully canceled the rental due to poor and shady business practices and rented somewhere else (Go to Tracksides instead). Boat Sport calls back 45 minutes later now wanting to negotiate "a new deal" and would now (again) honor a 2-day rental and not charge for Friday but we had already gone with another rental place. Next day places a charge against the credit card for thousands of dollars for a 3-day rental and full deposits. Called and they would not discuss details. Talked over us and stated everything was documented, it was their policy and he was entitled to all the money even though no services were rendered. Sounds scary I know, but I learned that picking the right guide/ tour company is key. It makes a difference when it comes to safety and your overall experience. NA is all about having fun but being safe. The owner and our guide Matt was hilarious but also made sure that we knew what we were doing to keep us far away from any injury's. And like he said you really get to know the people in your raft because at some point you will be on top of them. There actually isn't a whole lot of rowing and the intense portions go by in a flash but at least with the help of a hiking trail and another boat you end up doing the intense parts twice. Other then that you are shooting the shit with Matt and the others in your group. Matt has a wealth of knowledge about the area and about "adventure" type stuff. I think it was the perfect combo of relaxing and heart racing experience. I would tell you more but to be honest this is really something you should experience for yourself. I will say that we all had a blast and not one of us ended up in the water... well, at least not from the rapids.
