Great selection, but the absolute most unhelpful staff on the floor. I had a few bottles in my hands and was looking for one more thing (another imported liquor) and the associate couldn't be bothered to show me where it was (and she wasn't doing anything). I put the bottles back and walked out - not worth wandering around forever when I can go elsewhere. read more

Solid because they carried the Sam Adams Octoberfest, both the big pack plus the Sweater Weather pack. (Yes, I'm a fall beer lover that Bill Burr would make fun of haha). Negative stars because of the cashier. There should be a rule to not allow cell phone play during a shift. Sure, we've all texted on the job at some point. But the guy was not leaving it alone. When I walked up to the line, he was still texting a good minute at least before acknowledging me. Then a poor older lady was looking for help. I guess there was nobody on the floor because she had to come over to the cashier to get assistance. She was actually interested in the high-end stuff. She asked about getting a fancy liquor. He just pointed and was like, "It's over there." She said she knew, but it was behind a locked case. He said, "Oh, someone has to unlock it." Then there was the longest awkward silence after. The lady was really polite and finally said, "Could someone please unlock it for me?" Only then did he find someone to help her. I felt bad for her that she had to hunt someone down and ask in 3 different ways to get her request. She should have been treated like a VIP. read more

i've been coming to this store for the last month and a half and tonight i was treated in the worst way possible by the manager lakita. the cashier was a male with blonde slightly curly hair and i asked him for the price of a specific item he did not know so he asked lakita who is the manager. she looked up very sarcastic rolled her eyes and neck and said she did not know, which left myself and the cashier stunned....being in customer service for over a decade i was expecting her to go and find out the price of the item that i wanted. i instantly declined the item based on her attitude and her non-willingness to assist myself and the cashier. i told him just forget it don't worry about it.. i don't want it now because she has an attitude. when she heard me say that she aggressively began walking towards the cash register and stopped. i was under the impression that she was going to fight me or get in my face. i then ask the cashier who his manager was and unfortunately it was her this was so disappointing because i felt like i had no one to run too. she then began to make small talk about me to the security guard and they thought it was very funny. the security guard is possibly hispanic tall female kind of large body... she is also very rude and unwelcoming neither one of them speak to you when you walk in the store or tell you to have a good night but they look at you like girls off the street that are aggressive. and they thought that my unfortunate encounter was very funny and i don't appreciate that. no one appreciates being laughed at by employees and security of the business they're patronizing. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE! DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM! I ordered last night and the order never came (charge still went through). I tried calling last night and no answer. No one ever got in touch with me. This morning, I received an email notifying me that I would receive the order (but the date/time on the order was for yesterday). I just called and the woman on the phone told me that she would schedule the order for 6-7pm tonight. And now I just got a text messaging notifying me that the order will arrive in 50 minutes. Horrible service! Will never use again! read more

Been here just a few times as a shop on store customer and a pick up order customer. Always fast and friendly customer service. Was recently helped by a very helpful and friendly shift manager named Martin Lopez. Of all the locations I have gone to over my time here in Los Angeles, this one is probably the best one. Highly recommended. read more

I ordered a handle of gin and some other stuff for delivery, they took the gin off of the order because they were out and didn't notify me. I would have cancelled the order or better for everyone, asked for a different kind of gin if I had been notified. Now I've paid for the delivery and don't have the one thing I actually wanted from the order. They were nice enough when I called about it, but doesn't solve my problem that I just paid for a delivery and am unsatisfied. read more

Utterly hot garbage. You can't call them, you can't fix their trash online orders, there is no one to help you. They actively make it hard for you to give your money to them. An absolute disgrace, a wonder they still exist. Their entire management team should be fired for the lack of phone support. read more

Don't go to this place, they run Gopuff which is a scam. They drop things off the order and make you run around to get a credit on your next purchase? Do yourself a favor if you happened to have ordered from them and got a incomplete delivery, don't waste an hour of your time trying to get a refund, just dispute it on your credit card. My card has never failed in getting my money back from crooks like this company. read more

IF you want your alcohol on the same day you place your order, then right now it's better if you actual go to a liquor store (or grocery store) that is allowing you to walk in (or at least taking your order at the door). BevMo! is not set up adequately to handle processing online order fulfillment in a reasonable time frame...for those customers seeking alcohol in the same 24 hour period that it's ordered. As long as you're stocking up and your purchase is for use at a future date, I strongly recommend to shop somewhere else. The main thing that I am semi-frustrated with is that no where during the online ordering process does BevMo! inform you that the order fulfillment could take as long as or longer than 24 hours to process. However, the app will definitely charge your card immediately. I called to store after waiting over 5 hours, and the team member that I spoke to said that they are running at least a day behind. To be clear, I do not hold the local team members responsible for this...it's more of the responsibility of corporate or regional to ensure that they are able to handle the logistics and operations here. For those experiencing this as well, please refrain from yelling at the local team members who are actually doing their best to keep up with the demand. Instead post on here or other social media or even call corporate... Even then, let's keep in mind that we all are dealing with a very crazy world right now. read more

I like the variety and convenience of shopping at BevMo but will be looking for an alternative. Over the past year, I've caught the staff at this store over-charging based on the in-store advertised price or not honoring coupons, even though they were clearly scanned. Each time there is no apology or explanation, and most importantly no change in behavior. Have to assume this is extreme negligence or being done on purpose. BevMo was found guilty in 2019 in a class action lawsuit and committed to stopping these transgressions against customers, and clearly they have not: https://losangeles.cbslocal.com/2019/12/10/bevmo-pays-350k-for-allegedly-overcharging-customers/ If this happened to you, contact Santa Barbara County District Attorney Joyce Dudley's office: http://www.countyofsb.org/da/management-team read more

Had very bad encounters with a employee here, white guy with long ponytail, first he ask me if he can help me, than when I asked about couple of item, he patronized me about where it is, point me the way but not really point me the way, than after check out, he deliberately talk to another employee just so I can hear them, saying fucking instartcart, "why don't you just hand me the key , so I can deliver it for you"! Nice staff but picking up here is a joke. Every time: 'Huh, what order? Oh, the system didn't process it.'

I've always had a good experience at this store but this morning I walked in on the manager Julie yelling a homophobic rant about someone that had just stolen product from the store. I understand it's frustrating to have people steal your product but that doesn't make it okay to be homophobic specially in front of other customers. It made me uncomfortable and didn't feel welcomed at all. read more

I've been looking everywhere for the limited edition Absolut SF, and when I called around, this was the first place who carried it. Jackpot! It's basically a big warehouse store for all kinds of libations, but also with a large selection of gourmet sodas, cheeses, accessories (ie. fast-pour spouts, wine chillers, etc.). Prices on their hard liquor seemed very good. The buy-one-get-one-five-cents wine sale seemed very good, though honestly you can do just as well at Trader Joe's or Pavilions if you shop smart. They carry everything they are priced right, and there's an hour of free parking underneath the complex. Win. read more

My friend badly needed to use the Restroom. Jeremy's excuse for not giving us the key was that I was standing on top of customers when I was standing at the empty cash register next to Jeremy's cash register. I explained it was an emergency and he expressed no sympathy that my friend had a medical condition. We also felt discriminated because we were Asian and everyone was white. The white lady who asked for key after us was treated with more respect. Will not go back again until Jeremy is fired!! He needs to work somewhere where people are like him: racist and disrespectful to people with medical conditions. read more

Ooooooooooooh snap. I just realized the key to a successful BevMo trip: the internet. Go online ahead of time and check out what your BevMo has in stock. You can make your order ahead of time... pay for it... and then just pick it up an hour later. Or several hours later. This saved me a whole lot of mindless meandering through the store. Plus you don't have to worry about going to the store, only to realize that the one thing you're looking for is out of stock. Also: they finally brought back my favorite soft drink, Leninade. YES!! I will NEVER understand this Bevmo. I, twentyone years young, can walk in and buy whatever without getting carded. Yet my father who is almost 60, gray hair, false teeth, and (sorry dad!) super old looking is refused service because he forgot his ID and they couldn't "verify" his age. Are you shitting me?!?! Seriously, he was probably old enough to be the GRANDFATHER of the kid who refused to serve him. read more

Outstanding staff at this location. You can score some great deals if you're a member (free to sign up). Pro tip: If you're buying a cart full of beverages, pull your car up to the parking area behind the store and save yourself multiple long trips. read more

What can I say? I love me some BevMo, but for some reason, the people who work here - who aren't as helpful as the other BevMo. They have almost everything that you can dream about - either on hand or that they can order, or send you to a different location. Beer, wine, hard liquor, mixers, snacks, pretty much everything that you need for a party! ;) Plenty of parking at this location, but can be frustrating because it's an underground structure - where if you go down one more floor, there's plenty of parking OR parking a little further away from the escalator/elevator. Shares a lot with Best Buy and Target. Don't forget to get validated, one hour free, $1.50 for the next hour. read more

Love this location. Parking is always close by (you can park in the Target / West Hollywood Gateway lot or on the street with meter parking). Staff members are very friendly and helpful. Very rude customer service cashier is Anjella manager don't know anything about being nice to customers.

Perfectly great neighborhood BevMo! I don't understand these dramatic reviews about the staff. Is this supposed to be a catered experience? Is a BevMo staff supposed to wait on you? It's liquor store with a few extras. You get service at Ralph's? Who are these people that have to write in about a liquor store not full filling their expectations? read more

We just stopped in for a few quick things and upon entering encountered a sales clerk named Dereck. He was able to quickly point us in the right direction to what we needed. Placed an order for delivery and waited 5 hours after the stated time only to receive nothing. Tried calling a couple of times but the person answering refused to look up the details of my order. Rude staff !!!! Never coming back again I walked in yesterday with my wife looking for a Specific brand of vodka . I saw one of their employee passing by me and I said " excuse me " she first didnot stop so I had to say again " excuse me " she then looked me in the eye and checked me from the top to bottom like she was ready to fight me . I thought for a moment I asked a wrong person so I ask her do you work here ? She is like yeah what do you want with very angry tongue . I show her the pic on the phone she didnot even look at the pic she just said look the section with no name of the section she didnot even read the brand or anything . She just want to get rid of me as soon as possible . After she left my wife has even noticed that she was ready to fight me . She was African American women . Poor customer service and never received the "2 hour" delivery; placed an online order, driver called but never showed. Called the store and was put on hold until I called back again to ask for a manager and the clerk told me he was "probably busy". Finally got the manager on the phone who was not helpful and told me that the delivery service is with a third party so he can't help me and he cannot assist with a refund. He then hung up on me when I asked how often deliveries do not make it to their destination. Guess I got my answer. I would not waste your time or money. read more

This store is pretty good. I come to this one the most, they always have the liquor Im looking for. Although lately they've added a grocery store, but it's very expensive when Target is right next door. You can pick up snacks but I would not suggest buying your dinner ingredents out of here. I like that I can come here and get out quick, but I always get an uncomfortable feeling from the cashiers. They're never waiting at the register for customers, you have to put your stuff there and wait for them to appear. Usually they're okay but I can tell through their aura that they don't really want to help but it's their job. But like I say they'll get me out of there fast so the awkward moment doesn't have to last too long. read more

I came in to purchase some GlenDronach Scotch and, on the way out the door, the bottle fell out of the cardboard tube. Although this was a 12-year scotch, I aged two years watching the bottle hit the floor. Mario, who cashed me out, said not to worry since the container broke in the store. From there, he went to get another bottle for me. No grief, no questions... just some gentle consolation about the scotch that will never be had. Thank you, Mario! read more

BevMo doesn't have the best prices, but they send coupons regularly, and also send a 5% off bonus every time you spend $250. If you use and combine those coupons, you've gotta good shot at the best prices for booze, etc. The big problem with THIS Bevmo is, they're the only store that hasn't let me combine coupons. Today, they'd only let me use my $10 off $50 purchase OR my 5% off bonus coupon. Others BevMo's, like the one in West LA on Wilshire Bl., gladly let me combine both coupons in the same purchase. Because of the no combin-o, this place gives a 3-star performance read more

Today my son ordered water and soda to be delivered as the store is only open to pick up or delivery at this time. The website stated delivery between 2&3PM. At 3PM he called to see if it was on the way. A woman answered and said it would arrive "In a few minutes." It did not arrive. At 6PM he called to see where the order was. The woman checked his order and said it was ready. He asked if it would arrive tonight or tomorrow. She said it would arrive tonight as all the items were in stock. At 7:20, I called to see what was up. Nessa answered the phone. I asked for a Manager, she said the Manager was not in. She could help me. I asked about the order. She then tells me she told my son that the order would not arrive tonight, but tomorrow between 1&2PM. He should check his email. He checked his email that was generated at 6PM when he called. It stated the order would be delivered today between 2&3PM which was impossible as it was 6PM when the email was sent. I told her what the email said. She then says she's not responsible for the email system after telling me to check the email for an update. I was angry, and she told me she was going to switch me to Customer Service as I was yelling at her. My daughter works for Trader Joe's IN front of customers daily. This person deals with them on the phone at this point. My problem is not that I had to have the delivery items ASAP. It is the fact that there was not 1 straight answer given, it would've been as simple as " Here are the facts, your delivery will be tomorrow between 1&2PM - Sorry for the inconvenience." That's all, not 14 different stories by 2 different people. Not interested in basically calling my son a liar, he told me what he said, and what she said - He even told her at the time it would be fine for it to be delivered tomorrow. She insisted it would be today. If Bevmo can't handle delivery, then they should not advertise it. ALL stores are slammed, ALL employees are under pressure. I know my daughter is under that pressure. What makes me mad is the absolute confusion at that store. And, the Manager is not there to organize the situation. POOR leadership. Yeah, maybe he needs to work overtime to get it in order. Like most of us do. Never again, one last thing..After I got off the phone I did call Customer Service, and they were overwhelmed and were not taking calls..just emails. So, had I let her transfer me to Customer Service I would have gotten a recording going nowhere, super bad service. UPDATE 3-24 We rec'd an email that the delivery will arrive several hours later than Nessa stated. Also, they reduced the order. My son was told yesterday at 6PM the order was complete, and ready to be delivered. Interesting how suddenly today my order was reduced. I'm sure it has to do with leaving this review, Poor Service is Poor Service, and non-existent leadership. read more

When I first walked into the building I was greeted by a very nice young man who was willing to help and answer any questions I had. He was very pleasurable and made my experience trying something new a little easier. However, that quickly changed when I got to the counter. The girl at the counter was very dismissive to me. I watched her greet and speak to the person in front of me in line. When it became my turn, her smile immediately changed. I did not get a hello, or even eye contact. She asked me for my bev card number and I gave it to her, and she began scanning my items. I noticed that one of my bottles rang in a few dollar more than it had been advertised for. I mentioned to her that "I believe that price was wrong", and she completely ignored me. So I mentioned it again ... again nothing. Then when she was done, she just gave me the total. So I said "I guess you didn't hear me", and she replied "I heard you". Really? If this is the type of service that I am going to receive here, I think I'll pass. read more

I ordered the wine I needed online and it was ready and waiting for me when I arrived. It took them about 20 minutes to fill the order, which was impressive. You get an email when your order is ready. This BevMo is humongous! Even though parking is a tad annoying because you have to go into the underground garage shared with Target, it was surprisingly easy to get from lot to BevMo. I ordered online to save time but seeing as the store was not very busy, this was unnecessary. Once inside there are aisles upon aisles of alcohol. From wines and beers to ciders, mixers, bar tools and snacks. Overall they have a decent selection. I think they could offer more variety in terms of bottle size. At events it's fun to pour magnums and they didn't have many magnums. I also think it's nice to offer more half bottles or splits. Prices are fair and they often run the $.05 promotion where you buy one wine and get the other for $.05. Recently they did this on a great Bordeaux that I've seen sold elsewhere for $30/bottle. The staff was friendly and eager to please and more than willing to escort me to my car with my order. One hour free parking in the lot. read more

You buy a 40-ounce Wild Cat because it is the cheapest thing to drink at the WE-HO Bev Mo, at a mere $1.49. It's also sort of fun to drink from a paper bag once in a while. The first sip is delicious--rich and almost woody, but in a good way. Not like licking furniture at all. The second sip is less delicious--you wonder: Does it taste the way the high-school biology lab smelled? The third sip is once again delicious, because you imagine that you have overreacted to the second sip, perhaps under the watchful eyes of your snickering friends. The fourth sip reveals nothing new; your friends have moved on to ridicule American Idol contestants, and now you're left with a hundred or more sips, depending on your enthusiasm, and the beer is slowly warming. By now, your headache has undoubtedly begun. Faint at first, almost like an emerging sixth sense; you tilt your head. Is it telepathy? TK? Is this dull, loosely disoriented ache the hidden powers of the human brain being released? No. Wild Cat contains so much formaldehyde that it could almost be used as a pesticide.
