It's the time of year again for the 5 cent deal. Honestly didn't even know it was going on till a client had mentioned it. So what does one do when this is happening. They check it out as it's meant for. This location off sepulveda is part of a mini strip mall. Plenty of parking in the lot. At first when you walk in, you are greeted with the deal special right in the front entrance. They had a mix of alcoholic beverages full frontal for you to see. Each isle is designated for its own type of liquor as well as snacks. Obviously had to check it out to see whats part of the deal. Not going to lie, whatever we were looking for, it wasn't part of the 5 cent deal. So basically, it's buy one item regular price and the second is 5 cent. It's a good deal during the holiday seasons. Perfect for gifts or yourself. There was wine and liquor for the deal. Not sure if beer was a part of it. They do have a big variety on everything. Wine, beer, hard liquor, cigars, and even snacks. Almost a one stop shop. For the deal it's great. Basically buy one get one free. But they are limited to certain things. But if your looking for alcohol, it's your place. read more

My neighborhood BevMo, where the bevs go! Located in the city of Van Nuys, but on the cusp of Sherman Oaks this local beverages and more store is one you'll love to explore especially with such a huge selection of wine, spirits, beer, juice, soda, mixers, salts, home goods, barware, celebratory items, frozen goods, snacks, cigars and so many fun finds. The staff is plenty friendly and quite abundant. They sometimes have a security person during the day that's just as personable and engaging as the BevMo GoPuff (who bought BevMo in 2020) crew. I stopped in recently for some gifts for a special someone in my life having a birthday. He's very into cigars and whiskey and BevMo has both. A lot of items are on sale in the store, especially if you're a member, free to sign up like most rewards programs #ClubBev The 5 cent sale is a great deal and you're able to take advantage of it by signing up for a club card. A lot of their wine and various libations are apart of this deal which is essentially a bogo, by one get one for 5 cents. A lot of the crew is knowledgeable with many specializing in certain areas including your clerks/cashiers/bevmologist. The store is always clean and the layout is fairly easy. The wine isles can feel a little tight, especially with a cart, but it's still easy to get around even when they're busy. Parking is fairly easy in a shared strip mall lot with FedEx (directly to the right), Petco and Vista Paint to name a few. They're open 10 AM to 9PM most days, Monday through Friday and have adjusted hours on weekends. Saturdays starting at 9AM and Sundays closing by 7pm. read more

Solid place! I always find what I need at this BevMo. They have even stepped up their snack game significantly. I appreciate that they have a lot of fridges with chilled wine/beer etc. and it's not all warm sitting on a shelf. Their prices are pretty good too. I mean, how can you beat the 5 cent wine sale? I feel like I am stealing every time I buy wine in bulk that's on sale. If you are looking for something more niche, I would say go to total wine. Bevmo is great when you know what you want or are looking for a good deal. There is parking available at this location which is super convenient. The staff is always helpful with carry outs. I've only had good experiences here! My only "complaint" about BevMo as a whole is their house brand, "unruly" isn't very good. read more

Wow, this place has some of the worst customer service in the entire city!! Didn't realize it until we had an awful experience and then started reading reviews after the incident. Called the store to find out about a specific product & the girl immediately dismissed it saying they didn't have it without obviously checking and then she hung up without warning. Called back and she had said she thought the call was resolved and we told her we were just making sure that she actually spelled the product name correctly and actually checked the system and shelf which she assured us she did even though it was impossible in the amount of time. She was very obviously just telling us anything!! Luckily my husband had been there a few weeks earlier and found the exact product that she assured us they didn't have and so we went ourselves anyway and sure enough...found the product in multiple varieties right on the shelf!! Not only is this lazy employee,that may be named Yoselin according to the receipt, costing the store potential sales, but she is rude and lying toward paying customers!! All we can do now is hope hard that a Total Wines and More finally moves into this area!! read more

Selections of the liquor was okay. Service was terrible. This guy cashier made a mistake giving me wrong change. Since i paid cash and he didn't even ask me if i have a membership. He just gave me my total and charge me regular price and i handed him my cash. I told him why you didn't ask me if i have a membership and now you're charging me regular price on the liquor. He called the manager to correct it but the line is getting longer and longer so he hand me $2 back. He said its the same thing. I was pissed off so i just grabbed the $2 back and left. So when i got home i realized it was short of $1 i didnt even bother to go back just to get my $1. I just wished that even if they got busy he should have done it correctly by asking a customer if they have a membership or just give me $2 extra like thats the right change, i should have got $3 back but no. Please refrain from this location. I purchased $60 worth of hard seltzer alcohol only to find out when I got home every single item was expired--Blue Moon, Golden Road, and Sonic. I could understand one but all three cases, now that's ridiculous. From the photos you can see items purchased on 07/05/2022 and expiration dates of 6/30/2022, 07/04/2022, and 10/21/2021. However, what seemed to be the manager had happened to walk by and said "hey everybody", and his workers didn't respond immediately cause they were tending to guests and he threw an ego fit claiming that if he walks by and says "hey everybody" then everybody is inclined/obliged to immediately stop what they're doing and say "hey" back to him, regardless of the context. Used to come to this particular BevMo a few years ago when I lived near by and I happened to be in the area again so I decided to stop by. When I got to the cashier I recognized Warren who I've spoken to many times, but it's been years. I'm sure he didn't recognize me and I suppose the mask didn't help either. We'd talk about his screenplay and other random stuff in the past. Anyways he was already talking to a couple behind me in line, and he's generally very enjoyable and has conversations with everyone that walks in. He scans my items and I was squinting to see the price behind the plexiglass they had setup. All of a sudden he's like, "what's with those stank eyes, you better not be giving me attitude" I chuckled as I thought he was obviously joking but he continued. "You better not be giving me attitude, that's how you'll get no service especially from me" and he kept going on and on. I told him I was just looking at the price and wasn't at all upset. But he kept talking and simply ignored what I said. Then talks to the other couple behind me saying, "I see no attitude there". The couple behind me were laughing out loud and the women was "no attitude here" all while I'm dumbfounded by what was happening. He asked for me ID and was like "you better chill or you're not getting this back" I'm mean he kept going on and on. Felt like I was in the front row of a comedy club and the comedian decided to pick on me for whatever reason. As I'm walking out he's like "whoever you need to fight, just call on me if you ever need help." As the other customers break out laughing. Like what kind of shit was that? Heckle the customer? I don't even believe in the saying where the customer is always right. I hate that saying. But damn, you can say leaving I was feeling pissed but I'm not a Karen and didn't want to escalate anything. I've been coming here off an on for years but it's not super close to my house anymore. I was in the area today so I stopped by and had the pleasure of having Warren check me out. Just wanted to give him props for making a chain store feel like it's your neighborhood haunt. He was friendly, personable, and knows his stuff. He even upsold me on a killer bottle of bourbon I'm enjoying as I write this. Keep up the great work Warren! Just okay. I'm trying hard to keep in mind the extra stress these folks are under right now and I DID get my orders (two separate visits) but in both cases there were issues and neither one was ready when it was scheduled to be. Fortunately, booze wasn't a major issue for me so the delays didn't make that big of a deal but each time I had to call the location directly because they had taken the money out of my account but hadn't sent me the email telling me my order was ready. This place is located in Vannuys blvd. In the city of Vannuys. After my work out, I was craving for some good wine. So Yesterday I came to visit this store and was my first time to this location. Parking is great lots of parking space and very convenient. As I walk in, first impression wow, alcohol galore! Place is huge. I was greeted by worker, which was nice I went straight to there wine aisle. I love how organized this store! The most easiest place to find the alcohol you need. They categorize their wine by flavor! I love merlot and they had several selection of it. I was looking for a brand I've always drink but I wasn't able to find it. So I asked for help, the manager were very nice and helped me find the brand I wanted, but still no luck. Anyways he gave me an alternative brand which was a good brand too. Not bitter or sweet! Love it! I also love their cheese selections, perf for wine night. yummmy! Overall, I will be back here for more alcohol when I start doing more party at my house. I think enough reviewers have pointed out that Warren is the highlight of this Bevmo, and everything they say is spot on. You'll definitely leave with a smile if you have get the chance to chat with Warren, or hear him chatting, or singing. The beer and liquor selection are varied and at decent prices. I'd even give the beer selection the edge here, because you'll find a lot of foreign and indie domestic beers here that are tough to find elsewhere. The wine, on the other hand... The wine selection is OKAY, but not special. Even the organization of the wine follows the old fashioned -- if it's not a Cabernet, Merlot, or Zinfandel, it's OTHER. That may be a bit of an exaggeration, but you get the idea. The best part about hunting down wine is finding the nickel sales (buy one, second bottle for a nickel), but those are usually wines with little character. Bottom line, if you want wine, go to Total Wine, but if you want great beer and some personality to boot, this place is good. read more
