These guys are great. If you can deal with all the angry drivers in Glendale than its worth going here for cheap booze or specialty beer.

Love this place. If not already an alcoholic, I think I'll be one because of them. The service is exceptional. Everyone is always so polite and helpful and they greet you no matter what. Not over bearing like those car sales people. If you want something that they do not have they will try to get it in for you, but it might be in cases. Point is, they present you with solutions. Of course who doesn't love the 'penny' sale that they have periodically. Only set back is the very small parking lot behind. Only fits like 5 cars. But there is a metered lot right behind them which is good. What you do is, place an order online and pick it up in a half hour. Super convenient. All this typing has made me parched. Anyone who reads my reviews can see that I never give bad reviews, but I had a bad experience at this Bevmo. We went in and saw that they were having wine tasting until 5:00 today. It was 4:30 and the space wasn't roped off so we decided to wait. They left a little sign that said to wait for the staff to come and help serve the tastings. We waited and a female employee came over, didn't say a word, picked up the chips that were right in front of us on the table and left. She then came back and took the wine and beer and left. We were waiting inside the wine tasting area so there was no mistaking that we were waiting for the tasting and we were standing right in front of the table where she took all the wine from. We were confused so I went around to the cashiers and saw that the same employee was now at the check out counters. I asked another employee if the tasting was still going on. That same female employee yelled out "it ended at 5." She then yelled it out again. It was 4:30. She was very rude. I won't be going back again. read more

Buying alcohol time!!! I have a good amount of alcohol at my place but I came here to get some gifts and to create a better selection at home. Although I hate the parking set-up for this BM, they are super friendly & super efficient. Placed my order for pick-up online, and it was ready on-time. Great sales this time of year and the BOGO-5cent Wines are such a big help for Xmas presents this year. Sign up for the card, it's definitely worth the few and far between emails with the savings you'll get. Not as much cider variety as I would like, and they don't carry Qream like the website says they do, but still, we've been buying by the boxload the past couple weeks and it's been such an easy store to get in & out of with none of the holiday mall / shopping mess. read more

Dont know how the first reviewer was able to make a review on the 8th when the grand opening was on the 9th and i was there then. It was brand new and pretty clean and the staff was actually pretty knowledgable on beer at least. The beer/wine tasting is right in the middle of the store and there is no cigar lounge just some glass cases with cigars in them. It was a nice bevmo with a small beer section which is why its only 4 stars. read more

WONDERFUL Bevmo! While not as large as the Burbank location, its far more convenient for those of us in and around Glendale. Very clean and well stocked facility with helpful staff quite knowledgeable about the products. I'm a big whiskey and scotch drinker and there's more than enough there to keep me happy for a while. read more

Mm, a bit of a weird layout at this location, but nevertheless they have quite a few "options"... too bad they were out of the *exact* pina colada mix we were looking for... they usually carry 3 brands of pina colada mixes... I don't have a problem with trying a new one but it is TRUE, the brands DO vary (sometimes drastically) and *sigh* when you find a favorite it's a disappointment when they don't carry it :( nevertheless, love BevMo, and don't forget, the main entrance is on Harvard Street!! :D read more

Great prices and huge selection of alcohol. The employees are always helpful when I go here and help me find what I need. WIth such a huge selection sometimes it can be hard to find what you are looking for but it makes it much easier when the employees are willing to help like they always are at this location. The parking is horrible, There are about 6-8 TIGHT parking spots. That;s the only thing I dislike about this location. If you want to avoid their horrible parking or it's packed - because it's small- there is parking that you can pay for. Overall great place for alcohol, bad parking. read more

Swung by the BevMo in Glendale for the first time cause I needed a bottle of Hennessy to gift my barber for his birthday. Walked in and was greeted... Pretty standard layout so I was able to find the cognac section quite easily. I came to find that all the Hennessy, regardless of volume, was locked up in a glass cabinet. It looked like there were other cognacs of even greater value behind the glass, as well... So I needed the assistance of one of their employees to unlock the cabinet. There was a button that said to push for service and I did... several times. No one came... Either it was broken or I was being ignored. The place wasn't too busy the evening I went so I tend to think it was broken... I finally flagged down a BevMo employee and he gladly unlocked the cabinet and retrieved a 750ml Henny bottle for me. It was regularly $29.99 but with a BevMo card it was $26.99. Not bad... But I would have been out of there sooner had the button worked. Overall, a decent experience... This BevMo seemed smaller than the La Brea & Santa Monica location. Certainly not as busy as that one. read more

The good news is the store is clean and well organized. The bad news is the staff clearly hates their job and doesn't understand customer service at all. I showed up right before closing for a few items and was reminded the store closes in 9 minutes, so I shopped fast. I bought nearly $100 worth of beverage and snacks to fill two large bags. They decided to lock the front door and made everyone exit thru the rear door. They handed me my 2 heavy bags of liquor and showed me the door. I almost dropped all the beer and champagne on the ground, but not once did they offer to help or assist in any way as I walked 2 blocks to where my car was parked by the front door. Today was the first time I've been to a Bevmo. I was impressed by their selection. I don't know how the pricing compares to other stores. There wasn't staff manning any of the registers when I went to purchase a bottle of liquor, but eventually someone came over. I bought the bottle which the staff member put in a Bevmo paper sleeve bag. I was on my way to my car one block away and the bottle ripped right through the Bevmo bag and crashed on the sidewalk (some glass even cut my leg, it sucked). I went right back to Bevmo and told them their bag ripped and my bottle broke right on the next block and asked if there's anything they could do since their Bevmo bag was the culprit. They smiled and said "sorry there's nothing we can do once the product leaves the store". I understand I guess, I just hope they reevaluate their bag situation. Those paper sleeves should go into a plastic bag or they should warn customers that the bags may not withstand the weight of a heavy bottle. I ended up going to CVS to buy a new bottle of tequila....and some bandaids:( read more

Horrible customer service. Went there today with my child to pick up some last minute items, the register broke down so they had the manager walk me to another register. The manager then starts asking other people if they need help and ringing them up without acknowledging me. I won't spend a nickel there, even if it were the actual cost. read more

Rude staff. We went in to buy a little something as a gift (in bevmo), then thought to get a a little take out snack before heading home (5 mins purchase right outside their store). We were then confronted by the store staff why we had parked in their parking space if we were just passing through, in a very rude and condescending way. Even had the gall to place a paper notification that we parked wrongly. Next time, feel free to check if customers actually purchase something before acting all high and mighty. If you don't want our business, then by all means, close your store. Way to provide customer service, guys. You actually took the time to place that piece of paper on our windshield but couldn't take the time to even check if we bought something. read more

Definitely one of the cleanest BevMos that I've been in. But, unfortunately, it also felt like one of the smallest. That's not to say that they don't manage to pack a lot in, but it feels like a smaller selection. That said, I didn't have any trouble finding a good choice of scotch whiskeys to browse. Ended up with a well-priced 15-year-old Macallan. Also found a good sake as a gift. The staff was very pleasant as well. read more

BevMo is a good alcohol supermarket, rather heartless though. I was there today and noticed the poor cashier having to work with the most ridiculous set up. If you go there you'll see the keyboard on the counter but the screen off to the side! So the poor cashier has to constantly turn her head to look over her left shoulder to see the screen! Generally, I've liked BevMo and have been happy to pay their prices as they have a very wide selection of spirits which is what you want from a store like this. Recently I attempted to special order Robinson's Iron Maiden Trooper beer. The first time I did so I personally came in to the store to pick up my brew only to find they had sold it off without even calling me. I repeated my order and called to follow up. The cashier admitted to me that their special order procedure was flawed and that she didn't even know where to look for my order information. Needless to say I was never contacted and never received the beer. I am definitely not placing a special order at this store again and will likely not frequent it as there are other stores that generally carry what I need and have better customer service. read more

Dear Corporate - one of your ambitious executives, trying to make a name for himself, absolutely destroyed the fantastic wine tastings you offered for $2 on Fridays and Saturdays. He jacked up the entry fee to $5 to generate a few extra bucks and now only offers this as a credit when you spend $20 instead of $10. The result? My wife and I haven't been to BevMo! in months. We used to enjoy attending the wine tasting on Saturday but now you have eliminated it. It was the perfect venue for us to learn about wines before purchasing a bottle as well as cheeses, crackers, and other products you carry. Your astute executive has succeeded in reducing expenses by eliminating wine tastings. But I will guarantee you that no one at corporate has bothered to look at the other side of the ledger. Your revenue from loyal customers who patronized BevMo! and then purchased products after attending a wine tasting has dropped commensurate with a drop in revenue. You have deftly eliminated the sole purpose of a wine tasting: to get people to buy wine. But the piece that you don't quite comprehend is that your goodwill and free word-of-mouth advertising from loyal customers is NoMo! Update! It has been months since I have gone to BevMo. Yesterday, my wife and I were in Pasadena and decided to stop by the store on Arroyo. Please understand that we used to stop at this store weekly for the wine tasting and then purchase a whole slew of things - wine, beer, scotch, cheese, crackers, etc. I have been so disgusted with the price gouging over the wine tasting as described above that I simply took my business elsewhere. The wine tasting was still being conducted by Bill. I want to take a second to tell you that Bill is the most knowledgable, friendly, and helpful sommelier you will ever meet. He is a gifted educator without the snooty attitude you find at other tasting rooms or wineries. He has a loyal customer following to the point where people stop by to see him primarily and then purchase product. I mention this because the corporate misguidance screwed this up before by jacking up prices and cutting it to Fridays only. They may be ignorant enough to make a fatal decision of removing Bill or reassigning him. This would be a disaster for your Arroyo store and the loyal following. Back to the story. So I walk in, ask if the wine tasting is taking place, and then cannot believe what is said. "Yes, it is 5 cents per person." I say, "What?" thinking that the cashier is making a joke. My wife and I go to the wine tasting section, are greeted and welcomed back by Bill, and place a dime in a growler bottle to pay for a flight of superb wines (even a better selection than before) and hard ciders. We finished the wine tasting, purchased two bottles of Pinot per Bill's recommendation, and had our faith and loyalty restored in BevMo! Whoever was the corporate genius to make this decision - God Bless you brother! Customer loyalty over profit, friendship over finances, and long-term growth over short-term quarterly stock value. It's simple: success comes from satisfying consumer needs. Since the same bottle of wine can be purchased at Ralphs, Total Wine, or BevMo, it's the people and the experience that will make the difference. 5 cent wine tasting and education resulted in an additional $40 purchase and Happy, returning customer. read more

We purchased the alcohol for our wedding through Eric, the manager at this store. He was incredibly helpful and gave us great suggestions for crowd-pleasing beer & wine. He also helped us stay within our budget (using BevMo's 5 cent wine deal) and figure out how many drinks we would need for 80 guests. We went in, he made a detailed list and then a few hours later we came back to pick up & pay. The whole process was seamless and stress-free. I've been a BevMo customer for so long, that the cashier at any location usually makes a comment indicating that my card must be really old, because they've never seen one like it. Either that's true because the card is super old, or the turnover is such that....well, you know. I bought an unopened non-perishable non-alcohol plastic item last week, which I had to return, because it wouldn't suit our purpose. No big deal, it was less than $10, and I was in the area anyway.The cashier told me to go to the back, and that he'd send a manager to take care of my return. After a ridiculously long wait (the store was empty, by the way), 2 managers came out of the back. So you have a return? Yes, thanks, I do, I have the receipt. One manager to the other, hey man, did you see that email about the returns? No, man, I didn't. Well I'm sorry, we no longer do returns. Excuse me? Yeah, we don't returns. Are you kidding me? If this were true, then the cashier should have said something, which would have saved a lot of wasted time. If it's not true, then the 2 managers were being jerks. Either way, messed up. I think I'll enclose my antique BevMo card, along with the 5% savings coupon they just sent me, in my letter to BevMo Corporate. One thing is certain, it will be a cold day in Hell before I spend another penny in a BevMo store. read more

Worst Bevmo ever. Have very little inventory of their own brand of mixers MIXT (last three visits over a month and a half - two months) they never have any in stock. I'm always told they must have just sold out. They are good products, it would be nice to be able to buy them. They seem to have many employees available to ask you if you need anything but refuse to open up a second register when busy. Today there was a line of about four or five customers with boxes of booze to buy but only one register open. There was actually one employee standing beside the cashier joking with her and the people in line while the other employees by the other registers (on the opposite side of the store) stood around doing nothing. How about opening the other register (which is actually closer to the customer parking) to expedite things. This is alway a problem in this store. I like BevMo but hate this store. Never have this problem in Burbank. read more
